I lost 1 1/2 lbs this week, which means I lost 4 1/2 lbs. in the month of January! Counting cals and exercising every day is really the trick in my weight loss. I couldn't wait to edit my profile.

Default Usurped by Vacation!

Ugh. I went of the wagon this weekend. My boyfriend is going out of town for a month so we had a little get away this weekend in a sleepy town. So nice. Especially, the fish and chip dipped in beer batter, the strawberry vanilla cake, the BLT and the hot fudge sundae. I did have the diet pop though And guess what? Tomorrow is my weigh in day. Oooops.

I had such a great start. Last week was my first week and I lost 5lbs. I am going to keep going.

Tell me it is normal to have set backs. I need some support!!!

I love getting reading your stories. Your stories help my story.

Whoops, forgot to weigh myself this morning before I had breakfast... Well, that's OK because over the weekend I ate a bit on the bad side (though I did get into the higher range of my calorie limit, I did not go over it, luckily) so I have this extra day to make sure I stick to plan EXACTLY. Hopefully, the things I ate won't show in the scale tomorrow.

It definitely is normal to have set backs! One of the reasons I have failed in the past losing weight and keeping it off is I let one set back throw me completely off. The key is to say, I messed up...no one is perfect...but I am right back on track. I had a bad night last night at a Super Bowl party. Cake, cookies, chips, pizza, but I did notice I was better then I would have been in the past. I didn't drink any calories and had 2 pieces of pizza instead of 3 or 4. This morning I went right back to eating on plan. That's not the only setback I've had but I have been much more forgiving of myself this time around. This is a life style change not a quick diet.

Default Not too bad

I only gained .5lbs after my vacation. I was thinking it would be much worse due to so much salt intake.
6lbs to Valentine's Day goal. I think it is lofty but especially with TOM right before VD.

What should our next goal be? Maybe St. Pat's Day goal? Or Easter/Passover goal?

I just weighed myself before my shower (woke up a little late today) and I hit 197. (2 lbs down from 199) Yay 2 lbs left before I hit Valentines day goal. I'll join in on setting an Easter goal, too.. by Easter I want to be at... 180. That's 15 lbs from Valentines day to Easter. Very doable, I think.

Still fighting off those last two lbs until my V-day goal. I am going on vacation Feb 16-24 so with that in mind I'm going to set my Easter goal a little lower then I normally would. I'll set it for 10 lbs...so 215 lbs (that's assuming I hit 225 before V-day).

Switzie, I know you'll reach your Valentine's goal.
