Hey everyone! This is my first BL challange and I'm really excited. My name is Grace and I am 27 years old. My whole life I’ve always felt somewhat overweight (even though I was in my normal weight range), but over the last 10 years my weight soared to epic levels. At my heaviest (start of 2009) I weighed somewhere between 310-320, although that is a guestimate (last time I was on a scale was in 2008 and I weighed 308).

I’ve never been a ‘dieter’ and truly never tried to lose weight. I was the person that was always going to start a diet tomorrow, but tomorrow never came, well at least not until 2009. This past year I’ve undergone a drastic lifestyle change and I’ve lost weight (100+ lbs). I too follow the KISS method, I eat healthy and exercise more. I still have around 65lbs to lose, and 2010 will be the year I reach my goal and begin a life of maintenance!

Good Luck everyone!!

The sooner the better as it will make training easier.

I have a question. Are we not allowed to weigh in on Mondays anymore?
Hey Ms. Idealmuse,

I have read your posts before and I never had noticed that you lived lived in Chicago. I was born and raised in Evanston, then lived in Rogers Park, and Irving Park for a while. What area do you live in?

Hey everyone! I am new to the boards (joined just before the holidays for a little inspiration) and this will be my first BL challenge.

I'm hoping to lose 50 pounds over 2010 getting down to 146 (this always been my dream weight), with the first 30-40 during this challenge. I have already started the first day of 2010 with a trip to the gym, so feeling positive and really excited about the next few months.

Good luck, everyone! And Happy New Year Blues.xx

Happy New year everyone

This was sent to me in my email from Jillian Michaels. Thought I would share it.

FRIDAY: FEELING GOOD

How to Get Back on the Wagon
It happens — you over-indulged over the holidays, missed a few workouts and now you feel like you've fallen off the weight-loss wagon. It's tempting to mentally slap yourself around, right? (Or head for the fridge.) Before you start, I want to remind you of something: Being hard on yourself is so 2009 — that's the Old You.

The New You knows how to deal with setbacks and get back on the wagon. And after all, there are no mistakes, just learning experiences. Weight loss is a process — it takes time. You will encounter small failures — everyone does — but every pound you gain can be lost.

And if you miss a workout, it's not the end of the world! Get to the gym the next day and continue to focus on your short-term goals. Just because you made bad choices today doesn't mean you can't start over tomorrow. New day? New beginning. And don't you forget it!

Hi everyone! I'm so glad to be on the blue team. I was secretly hoping to get blue since it is my fav color!!!!! This is my first BL challenge.

I'm thinnerbyjuly or Michelle. I'm 39 and in WI. I have a great hubby and two boys. I have all my fitness equipment at home as I'm 30 miles from the gym. I haven't exercised in almost a week due to the flu but I will be soon!

As far as my weight loss history. I was always very thin until after my second child. Then poof!!!!! In 2000 I lowst 80+ lbs with very low carb and kept it off for about 4 years. Every since then I have gained pounds every year going on and off low carb. I didn't gain all my weight back but close enough! I have diabetes so some form of carb control will most likely always be a factor in my life. I found a plan now I think I can permanently live with and get back to goal and stay there!

The plan I'm using is the Metabolism Miracle. My exercise plan is at least 30 min 5 x a week.

Hey everyone. This is my fisrt biggest loser challenge and I am excited. I have been stuck bopping up and down within a 10 pound range for what seems liek forever now. I'm hoping to definitly reach my next goal if not the one after that by the end of the challenge. I plan to hit the gym for about an hour 5days a week and to do yoga for 2 or 3 days a week at home for flexibility and a variation in strength training. I love living healthy and fit and this year I know what works for me and what doesn't and I'm gonna use it to my advantage!

Hello Blue Team. I'm stuffed fuller than a turkey. Whole family is here and we're celebrating Christmas again. Sunday everyone will be gone home. So I'll have 8 days left to undo the celebratory meals. Have a good day everyone.

Happy New Year Blue Team! Hope everyone had a safe and fun night. I was sick so I didn't do much just hung out with the kids and watched cartoons.
Got signed up at the YMCA this morning and got my Mii character on Wii Fitness plus set up so I'm good to go....now all I have to do is go to the dreaded grocery store.

Does anyone know if those produce bags that are suppose to keep your stuff fresh longer work? I get so frustruated buying produce only to have it go to waste before I use it.

Hope everyone is revved up to start the New Year off on the right foot, I know I am!

There is leftover pizza in the fridge that has been calling my name all day. I haven't answered it, and I don't plan to!

Hey everyone! Happy New Year... I just got home from NY's supper with my entire family.. I love when we can all get together like that...doesn't happen nearly often enough that we have everyone all under the same roof at the same time lol... I am exhausted though!!! I keep thinking today is Sunday and that I have work tomorrow whereas I really still have 2 days off...lol
I am so excited to get things rolling with all of you on Sunday! I think we have an incredible group this challenge and we will really kick some butt!!! I am starting my regiment of TBL Last Chance Workout, Yoga and Power Sculpt DvDs tomorrow.. I feel so inspired and motivated to get this weight off... I can not wait!
I hope everyone had a great day today and will have a great night tonight.. sleep tight!
