retiredone-That's a good idea for cold weather running. I've been lamenting having no where to run since the temps dipped too low for my liking outside.

Another imperfect day here. I did a bunch of food prep for DH's staff "luncheon" which actually lasts all day. I'm making all the food which has been fun and I think it'll go well since I chose a lot of fave appetizer foods. Anyway, tomorrow will be busy and crazy doing all the set-up and stuff, plus both DD's have their gymnastics "show" in the evening. I'm not certain I'll get a proper workout in, but that's how this week may be for me. Next week will be much more normal, but a little time off plan for the sake of more family time and doing fun holiday stuff is no major trouble for me. I love Christmas and all it's adventures!

Well everyone, I did bad this week I went out to many times. I thought I was pretty op most days but with it so cold I have not been drinking any water. I always seem to be cold lately even if it's not to bad outside. By Thursday I was down .2 but now I am up 1.2 for the week. Let's hope I can make myself start drinking that water again to release some fluids. Time for bed soon. Have a good night.

Hey Ladies! Just a quick fly by on my way to work.. Yesterday was exhausting! Shopping does me in..lol But thank heavens no one was rude.. anyone who bumped into me always apologized so it was great.. only rude person was a cashier who got frazzled with the lines and messed up my sisters check out.. then got her confused.. eventually manager came over took my sisters name with a polite if there is a big problem we will call you... anyway then they had security looking for her in the mall...! omg it was funny.. we laughed but they insisted that she still owed money which she paid.. but in all honesty I am sure she didnt and it was all the guys mess up... but my sister is not one to argue and she was embarressed so yea... lol ha that was our adventure for the day! haha

Quick reminder before I start my day here... please remember to EDIT your weigh in posts for the new year challenge when you post starting weight in there... please do not create a new post.. as there are over 113 sign ups as of right now so any new posts I think are new sign ups.. so please just re-edit your original sign up post. I will be reveiwing all posts and adding weights to the already progressing spread sheet I have going, as well as a hand written list, which are both listed in order of sign ups so I will not miss anyone.. lol OS please just edit instead of creating a new post.. thank you much!!!!

Hope everyone has a great day.. I will be back this evening!!!

Hello Purple People!

I have an announcement......I have been on Jillian's program for 34 days now, and I haven't missed a single workout! I am SO proud of myself. I can't wait to see how far I can go. It is amazing how motivating it is for me......how can I bear to break my streak now? I can see 50, 60, 90, 100 days in my future. I ROCK!

Monte-That is awesome!! Oh my goodness! This past couple weeks I've missed part or all of my workout 2 or 3 days (very unusual for me). So, what an accomplishment for you, especially this time of year!

Angela-Wow! That's the kind of adventure I could do without! I'm glad you got some shopping done, though. I've decided I'm pretty much done. I wasn't able to get a couple things I was hoping for, but no one knows that but me (well, now all of you too), so it's all good.

Today is basically OP. That's REALLY saying something since it's not a normal day. In fact I probably shouldn't be on here, I've got so much to do. Let's just say at this point it's therapuetic to come here and enjoy the company of you fine people! I didn't weight this morning, but it probably wouldn't have been great since I had Mexican food yesterday. I didn't stuff myself or anything, but it's never a good weigh-in after Mexican! I could use a good OP day before my WW weigh-in tomorrow. I'll be at week 3 of making my goal there, which is a big deal. I can't mess that up!

Wow, MonteCristo, that's great. Don't think I've ever been able to keep anything up that long without at least a short break.

Angela, glad your shopping trip was mostly a good experience. I did a bit of shopping yesterday but in grocery stores. Loooonnnnggggg line-ups everywhere. You'd think it was the last day on earth to eat. Hahaha.

Ms Perception and Bigmid, Christmas is always a difficult time for keeping OP. Just do your best and do have a bite of goodies now and then. January will be here soon enough and we'll all be "good" and give up our "naughty" Christmas habits. What kind of appetizers did you make Ms Perception? I'm so preoccupied with food and how to make it I'm always interested in what other people have made. We have a big family get together Boxing Day night and we're all supposed to bring finger type foods. So I'd love to know what you made.

Take care everyone.

retiredone-I made those yummy crockpot meatballs with grape jelly and chili sauce, mini-pigs-in-a-blanket with cocktail weinies, cream cheese shrimp dip, 7 layer taco dip (modified), a veggie tray, Chex mix, and meat and cheese trays...all my faves! All served with the appropriate chips or crackers, of course. It turned out to be quite a spread. I'm going to check and make sure it's well-stocked in a bit. If it still looks good, I think I'll take a picture for reference in case I do it again next year.

Well, I don't workout every day. I do strength training 4 days a week, cardio 2, and have a rest day. But I haven't missed any scheduled workouts.

Hi everyone. Back from vacation and only up about 2 lbs. not too bad but did come home to a massive blizzard. Thank God our flight was only delayed an hour. My poor son and his family flight was canceled last night. Today they were scheduled to leave at 7 pm but now it was moved till 9 so hopefully they will get home tonite.

We spent 2.5 hrs today digging out our driveway. That should help with the 2 lb gain! lol!!!

I will try to catch up with personals tomorrow. So good to be back

Welcome home Mary. Glad you weren't too inconvenienced by that big storm. Heard about it on tv today.

Thanks for your appetizer menu Ms Perception. Sounds delicious and I'm sure everyone enjoyed what you prepared. I've never made the grape jelly/chili sauce sauce but I have the recipe. Everyone seems to speak quite well of the combination. I might give that a try this year.

YEAH for Angela!!!! Onederland has been claimed by the Queen of Cape Breton.

I ran around the house again today but I probably needed to do that as I've been taste testing this evening. Good healthy stuff but still adds up if I'm not careful.

Have a good night people.

Great Job Angela!!! Woohooo!!! I am right behind ya. Down two lbs this week to 204.0!

Mary, aww your poor son and his family hadda wait to leave. That is no fun at all. Hope they are all ok. I've never been in a blizzard ever! I would like it for maybe 20 mins and then be wanting to come back here I bet!

Hiya to Retired, Ms. Perception, Monte (wow, you r motivating me too!), Bigmid, and anyone I missed!!! I hope you all have a greeeat holiday if I don't have time to come say hi before we go out of town. Going to see both families, one in Galveston then one near Beaumont then going up to Rusk, TX to ride the Texas State Railroad, real train!, because they are doing the theme of Polar Express, and read the book to the kids on the way there and back!! Too fun!!

Then taking them to show them where we got married, where we lived before they were born, where we worked, places they've heard about but never have seen yet. It's a special trip because we are going back to the town where it all got started for us and where we lost our baby when I miscarried after we got married. And 3 kids and 14 years later, here we are!!! I haven't been there in 12 years. So weird.

Anyway, sorry to ramble! I will try to update my weight by using my phone while we are gone. We need a laptop! But usually we are home so just haven't ever really needed one. If I can't update for some reason, I guess that would be a freebie but I am hoping to lose more by then. We'll see!!! :

Hugssssss!!!!

Well, it is hard to say. I'm a member of her website, so I do the circuit workouts that she gives us there. But I don't follow her program exactly. You are suppose to do 4 weight training days, 1 cardio, and 2 rest days. I can't rest that much, so I switch one of the rest days for an extra cardio day. I enjoy it. All I have to do is print off the circuit for the day....I don't have to figure out what kind of exercises work best together, or how many reps, she does that all for you. I don't follow her eating plan because, well I hate "diet" food. But I am working on an eating plan, I'm just having a bit of trouble implementing it during the holidays.
