Go girl - I wasn't trying to get everyone to workout outside their own goals, I just wanted to try to make sure people were moving and shaking. We had so many that were on the Challange, but they weren't updating andthing. It was just my way of trying to motivate those they weren't moving to move

Just what works for me personally. I did notice last week that while I was working out so much I wasn't on here as much. It takes me a ton of time to do those workouts and then when I'm not, I have to deal with everythign that needs to be done that didn't get done while I was hiding out (working out) in my basement!
I realize that logging isn't for everyone. I know that being on this board takes time, that many of us feel we don't have (I know I feel that way sometimes). It is an accountability log for me, not to mention I take a look at everyone elses to see what is out there like the C25K program that was brought up that I now do, for new things to change up or just to try. I wasn't trying to push anyone into logging if they don't want to participate in the challange. I personally noticed that since I made my new log and gave myself a goal, I and doing better about my workouts, and it only takes me a minute to log my stuff here and another to put it in my spreadsheet, I figure I can afford the 2 minutes to see my accomplishments, because it is for me, not for the cabana boy (chelle that doesn't mean I don't want my cabana boy)

I'm not counting, that is for you account, not me, I am only here to help if you want it, encourage when you need it, and give a kick, when you need it and want it

I am sorry if I offended anyone with my concerns about the Booty Challange. They say you tend to stick with things more if you have a buddy in this crazy diet/workout life we are living. You all have been some of my best non-next to me buddies. You all are there for me and I wanted to make sure that, since the posting of people who had originally posted to the challange and were no longer updating had risen, they didn't need that help ... encouragement ... or the kick. For those who don't I am happy for you in how you do it, for those that do ... come workout with me. I am up by 0515 Monday thru Friday to workout along with other times. See you then

I don't think anyone has taken offense. If they are like me it is more like our own guilt haunting us. I know that I originally started the booty challenge as soon as chelle posted it. Then I did NOTHING for the next two weeks and went in and deleted my post. I have since got a new burst of energy and have once again started. Those two weeks were hard on me though as every time I saw the thread I would feel guilty that I was letting myself down.

I know this entire month has been hard on me. I haven't exercised and my eating plan went south. Looking back just now, I have lost three pounds or so total. That does make me feel a little better in the grand scheme of things but I know I could have done so much better, as at one point I was down 4 pounds lower than I am now. I'm struggling with what I KNOW I need to do and what I am willing to give up.

I did a FBWO on Wed and Fri and felt fine. I think I am going to try on MWF and see what happens this week. In the meantime I think I'm gonna work on planning a split. My problem is that I know I need to do my cardio the same days as I won't get it done at home. I can find way to many excuses between the kids, the house, and my butt calling for the couch.

Now I gotta go clean the couch cushions and find some money for a trainer.....

Well, well, well...........as the scale continued to rise and I debated pulling out my hair to show some kind of a loss, I decided to try on the pants again that have been dogging me.

THEY FIT! OK, so something good is happening. This may be the point of the ah-hah moment when you realize that hiding the scale is a good move. I like it tho bc I also use it to track bf% movement. Hmm, 2 days to decide what July 1 brings!

NO! Don't pull the hair out! But if you do, please send it to me to cover my thinning spots.

Way to go on the pants. I supposedly lost like 3 inches in my hips over the last 6 weeks. Maybe I'll go try my pants on. Crossing my fingers

krjpy- Yes I am for sure # two these last few weeks, but I am logging. I have to admit that the badge log was pretty motivating and the booty challenge is too, but I think we all just aren't watching as closely as we were in the beginning. Thank you for that little kick in the *** that my blue team is watching, and that we are here to support eachother. BTW - your progress and commitment is awesome!

WOW, Anjuli! 835 min of exercise last week!!!!!! That's nearly 14 hours!!!

LOL about the dog food. For simplicities sake it'd be cool! I did a VLCD once. Very controlled. Some thing from a box over and over. It worked. I lost over 100 pounds in 5 months. I was a ***** the entire time though.

Fran - I think suddenly doing that intensity of workouts can impact your weight loss temporarily.

I think the heat here has made me gain. I hope that the 244 I saw this morning was a total fluke. HAS to be. I have not gained wieght this week.

ding ding ding! That's definitely true for me! I started out this challenge exercising like I hadn't exercised in years, and now my schedule just doesn't allow it. I'm no longer getting up at 4:30am to exercise becuase I am just plain tired. And, I don't care what anybody says, doing more exercise just makes me more tired, not more energized I can't afford to be more tired than I already am all day at work, so right now, for me, I need sleep. Fortunately , I've still been losing weight without the exercise, but I know I will have to add it back in again in the (near) future--if not just for the weight loss, then for the diabetes and blood pressure.

I'm #2 also I have been doing some exercising, but I stopped C25K because I was full of excuses for why I couldn't do it and there always seemed to be some reason I couldn't get to workout. I think I'm going to try to get up super early and do my workouts before everyone gets up. I really hate getting up early, but if I do then there are no excuses because everyone else is asleep. If that is what I have to do to make time for myself then that is what I have to do. Thanks for giving the gentle reminder Kelly I actually really needed it!

Put the scissors down! Glad the pants fit! Just goes to show that we shouldn't always count on the scale.

Well I have done much better this week getting back on track. I'm down .5 which is great considering I only started being back OP in the middle of last week. I'm getting used to the calorie counting thing and as of tomorrow I'm going to get up early to exercise (cause I want to be like Kelly! )

QOTD:With the 4th of July coming up . . . what are you going to do to stay OP? Anyone have any tips or advice?

I have not one but two family picnics back to back (one Friday and one Saturday!) and let me tell you there won't be much "healthy" OP food, but I'm going to try to make the best of it.

I am trying to learn that celebrations do not have to revolve around food. I don't care what is being served -- I'm not going for the food. I'm going to see the people, to chat, to enjoy their company, and NOT to eat. PERIOD.

morning everyone

Things are pretty much the same this week work and home wise. I did lose this week so I'm little happy about it. I guess all that exercise paid off. I've realized that a good strenuous consistent workout was what was missing from my routine. I've been eating OP and working out consistently since last week. And that's a first for me. I don't like to exercise to be honest but last week I've been feeling really good after I worked out. A feeling of general well being So I want to continue doing it. DH and I worked last night on my workout schedule and I have to work on following it no matter what.

Fran, that's awesome!! that's the best reward for all your hard work past week.

Nori, I surprised myself I am not much of an exercise person. I've been tracking on the booty challenge log and chats how some of you have been consistently working out every single day (no matter what), losing lbs & inches and I've been feeling frustrated cuz I wasn't. I knew there was no secret to it but just my lazy a** in the way. I guess all of you just inspired me and motivated me to do something about it Last week I worked out morning and evening, played tennis and then at work I went for my walk during my break. I doubt I'll be able to reproduce these numbers again but I do want to keep trying for it

I'm trying new things this week! I finally found some tofu shiritake noodles (after reading about them FOREVER in my HungryGirl emails!), so I will be trying those at some point.

Also, I'm quite veggie-challenged, so I decided to try a new one: eggplant. From what I can tell, many people who DO like veggies don't like eggplant, so we'll see how that goes. I bought a regular big one and a "baby eggplant" that is just plain cute, and the sign says it lacks the bitter flavor of the bigger ones. We shall see...I'm going to attempt an eggplant lasaga with the big one, and cubed eggplant in tomato sauce with the little one.

Finally, I bought turnips to try a recipe for turnip fries (as opposed to regular french fries). Of course, I will bake instead of fry, but I'm hoping they'll be good.

oooh, good call...we haven't had a QOTD in a while!

Jeff and I are going to his cousins' on Friday for the 4th, and we may be going to his mother's on the 5th, so my plan is to bring something I know I can eat! Even if there is nothing else healthy, I will know there will be SOMEthing for me to munch on! I'll probably do deviled eggs--I know Jeff loves them, too.

Good morning, Bluesers.

I'm sorry to report that I totally messed up my weekend. I haven't gained, but I only lost a tiny little bit. I guess I don't want to lose the weight badly enough as I seem to find every excuse manageable to eat whatever whenever. My committment just isn't very strong. My 15th wedding anniversary is in December. I'd love to buy a little black dress and look amazing in it, but I don't know. I'm very discouraged with myself right now.
