So today was my official monthly weigh-in at my gym.. Compared to Monday, which is my own home weigh-in day, I lost 1.8 lbs and saw the Onederland but I'm not going to be excited about it and change my ticker till I see it at home because it is different scale, after all. Well, as far as inches, I'm 4 more inches down since the 7th of last month. In total, I'm 12.5 inches down in 2 months! I can kind of tell but not that much...but it surely makes me feel good, though. =)

The weather is SOO nasty here in Detroit area. Very windy and looks like it's going to rain. I don't like rain because I drive about 45 minutes one way to go to work and it's not fun at all, especially when big trucks and SUVs decide to cut me off and splash me from the front... =(

Well, I will come back later to check again.

I always switch it up I walk, go on trampoline or do turbo jam..sometimes all of them the same day. I try not to eat the same things everyday and I have even tried zig zagging my calories. grrrr

well I have my inlaws on there way and I haven't been good with eating today I ate NUTELLA!!! and its like 200 cals per 2 TBSP. I ate teddy grahams as well as my 2 eggs for breakfast and my cucumber wrap for lunch. I am at about 800-900 cals and still have dinner with the in laws. they always take us for icecream after :S and icecream is my weakness and its dq so there is no good choices. also if I say no they tend to get all offended because they are trying to do something nice and they don't understand why once every month I can't go off plan for their treat especially since I think they will do it tonight as my mothers day present...man!!!

I am actually in Vista...I know it is fun to see people from where I am. I also just say San Diego too...No one ever knows about all the little areas in North County. Do you miss this area?

Well, yesterday I worked out 95 mins...23 walking at work between the rain, 35 on the treadmill and the rest with weights and machines at the gym. It felt great! The problem is, when I do that I don't get hom until 8 or 830, then I still have to cook, do homework, eat dinner, etc! Its a crazy life! Anyway, I just wanted to drop and say hi to everyone. I hope everyone is having a great day and managing to accomplish their goals!

Vanilla Orange Bar - 60 cals
Stars and Stripes Starkiss Bar - 80 cals
Heath Dilly Bar - 220 cals
Fudge Bar - 50 cals
DQ Sandwich - 190 cals
Cherry Starkiss - 80 cals

DQ Vanilla Small - 240 (210 without the cone)

I haven't been in a DQ for years, so I don't know what the novelties are like, but I'm thinking the fudge bar at 50 cals might be an acceptable choice. Or the vanilla orange one at 60 (if you're not looking for chocolate). Overall, we shouldn't deny ourselves small treats now and then if you can work them in. For dinner sometimes a small steak (hold the potato) can be a good choice in a nice restaurant.

Good luck and have a nice evening.

Oops - just saw that you were in Barrie, I'm not so sure that the Canadian stores have the novelties. Just looked, there's a page on the Canadian site for the calorie conscious: http://www.dairyqueen.com/ca-en/eats...rie-conscious/

Just checking in, I'm already on a low ebb in enthusiasm and have to work on that. Long day sitting in safety training with all the accompanying morning bagels and cream cheese, mid morning chips, lunch and mid afternoon brownies and sodas all day. Managed to just eat lunch and refuse all the snacks. I've kept low carb and I think in my calories (I need to get a better handle on that) but...there ya go.

I sympathize, IrishFairy -- it really messes with my mind-set to get off track diet-wise or exercise-wise and for some reason I seldom get back on track after just one incident. (Of course, just being around my MIL destroys my mind-set -- we've been married for twenty one years and, two grandchildren later, I'm still not good enough for her baby boy.)

Hope you feel better, Halichick!

Great work on the exercise, blueyedlvrgirl! I've got to get in there myself.

Now I have to go figure out why my check engine light is on.

Good luck!

Howdy, neighbor!
I went to Palomar/CSUSM - I have a B.A. in Human Development. I originally wanted to get into the CALSWEC program which would have paid my way thru a MSW, but am still waffling. A master's isn't as necessary for social work as it used to be.
Number crunching is NOT one of my talents! Good for you!

I went to Orange Glen high school. Not sure what our age difference is, lol.... but it's been awhile since I've been in school. LOL Everytime I go home to visit my parents, I am amazed at how things are changing and growing there.

just wanted to pop in and say hi!!

troo - congratulations for being our biggest loser week 1!! great results!!

i'm doing really good with my workouts (P90X - it's kicking my butt. I'm on week 4 which is a recovery week.)

i'm a calorie counter and while this 'almost' first week of May's calories have been a bit higher than I'd like (1600...I shoot for 1500-1550 average), I'm currently showing a loss for this week. also protein is lower (25%...I shoot for 30%) than i'm shooting for too. so now that i know this, i have to get it in gear.

I do wish that i could keep up with this thread. there are too many other posts at 3fc to read and i have limited time...so sorry i can't be more personal.

have a good week!

p.s. oh, and i got a badge!!! love my badge!!

Hi to everybody!

I posted my WI today, down 2.5 lbs!

Very excited! I owe this in part to the exercise challenges here, they have kept me very motivated to get it in no matter what. This is me busting out from a 6 week stretch of losing and gaining the same 2-3 pounds. Whew!

Keep on keeping on Black Team!
