I have been reading on some of the other BL threads, specifically the one about a sneak peek into the next challenge, and noticed a few comments about all of the drama this challenge. I really haven't noticed any drama in our group and I just wanted to let you all know that I really appreciate all of you. While I understand that in any large group there will always be differences of opinion, I appreciate that we have all been very respectful of each other. Thanks RED TEAM! I love ya!

Laura – Where are you? We miss you!

Diva – I like Dancing with the Stars too but haven’t been watching this season yet. These shows that are more than an hour or on for several days a week really kill me. I just can’t seem to watch all the parts of them. I’m a recovering couch potato and have been trying to narrow down the “must sees.” So far, DWTS hasn’t made the cut. I may need to catch up in a few weeks.

Jen – we missed you too. I’m sorry you’ve been under the weather. As someone said earlier, you do sound very busy!

Andi – you mean you weren’t invited to the wedding? ;) I wonder if she'll do lunges down the isle? If you’re like me, you’re going to really miss the boot camps next week. I can’t stand when just one Zumba class gets canceled. I’m just now beginning to notice that my rings are getting looser and I’m starting to feel my collar bones, too. Yea collar bones! :carrot:

Terapet – I’m so glad that the lunges and squats are getting easier! I’m noticing a similar phenomenon and it’s great!

Hun – Way to go on rocking it last night! I really would love to workout during the show but I just can’t seem to get there. I get off the 2nd job just before the show starts and I tend to be cooking/cleaning up through most of it. Last night I cleaned and cut up veggies for salads for the week and that seemed to take a while and my main course came out of the oven during the final 20 minutes of the show.

Hi Rennie, Counting, GirlyGirl, Muse, and the rest of the RED Team!
Have a wonderful day!

Hi Ladies,

I agree with Rennie, I haven't noticed any drama at all, and i'm thankful that the red team seems to be doing well and really getting along fine. I'm looking forward to our summer BL challenge. Teenie Bikini here I come!

DS won his championship game last night. I was so proud. It was a great and very exciting game! Now it's baseball and soccer season. UGH!!! Busy, Busy, Busy!

Yesterday I completed my 88th day OP. I am sooo close to day 100 and I was thinking of a reward to give myself. I think I"m going to get my nose pierced. I've always wanted it, just a tiny diamond stud, So I think that's what I'll do for myself!

I hope everyone is doing good and that the Red Team kicks some booty this week! XOXO

I had a co-worker from my second job ask me about my Zumba class last night. I think she's going to join me. She also asked about when my upcoming vacation will be (June). I told her that I was excited, but I wasn't quite to bathing suit size yet. She then told me that she had noticed that I had lost some weight! The first one to comment (that isn't actively involved in my weight loss). :cb: Also, I stayed POP yesterday which hasn't happened in a while. Yea me!

It's been warmer here this week and I've been trying to find some of my short sleeved clothes to wear (currently in tubs in the middle of my bedroom for me to trip over). I found a cute little shirt that I have only worn a couple of times because it was a little snug and a little sweater to wear over it. The shirt is a little loose now! :woohoo:

melissa73 03-26-2008 10:42 AM

Rennie: Isn't that funny about the clothes? I was so excited to wear some cute capri's in a week or 2, so I took my clothes out and they are all too big. I gave them to a teacher friend of mine and now I have to get new ones! It's great their too big, but they were so cute and now i have to go spend money. LOL.

ksk571 03-26-2008 10:55 AM

I actually have several tubs of small clothes too. There's one size (the one I'm in currently) that I skipped going up and had to get a few essentials in this size. The only problem with my tubs of small clothes is that some of them won't be in style by the time I get back into them again. From time to time, I get in a mood to go through them and get rid of some each time that I don't think I'll wear again. I did that this weekend instead of going through the clothes that should actually fit me this year. :dizzy: Either way, I'm pretty sure I'm going to be buying some new stuff as I lose. I can't help it. Shopping is an addiction - and I've got it BAD! ;)

TERAPET 03-26-2008 10:57 AM

ksk-We do most of our lunges in class as you described. Occassionally we do step forward but not often. Recently the instructors have had us do a type of lunge where you cross one leg behind the opposite leg. Thankfully not too many of those. I agree with you about missing Zumba classes. They are way too much fun to miss.

Melissa73-I feel your pain about having to spend money but buying new, smaller clothes makes it a lot easier. Way to go!

melissa73 03-26-2008 11:12 AM

Terapet: I'm thankful I don't have to do lunges in my cardio kickboxing class. We do alot of squats, but no lunges. They hurt my knees!

Rennie: I read an older post from you. I've only had the opportunity to try out one of my turbo jam cardio party workouts, I loved it so i'm sure I'll like several of the other ones as well! I just don't always have the space to workout inside. But when I need to, I have a great collection of DVD's to choose from! I was interested in it from the informercial as well. I love the girl, she is very high energy and has rock hard abs. Very motivating! AND the music they use is great too!

TERAPET 03-26-2008 12:33 PM

ksk-I thought maybe I should refine my earlier response about the lunges. We don't usually do one lunge at a time. The leg goes behind as you described but we usually then will do many repetitions in that position before stepping forward again. It seems like forever but I guess maybe 24? I don't know if that helps with the knees or not. I know that position is very important. You should not be rocking back and forth on that back foot and the knee of your leg in front should be directly over the ankle (I think). Then repeat with the other leg. However the cross wise lunges are definitely one at a time.

KSK - I haven't been doing them lately but when I do it's usually with Jari Love too. She goes both directions so I just follow. When I couldn't do them all back then I would just go down as far as I could.

Good morning lovely red team!! I'm feeling fantastic this morning!

Rennie...lol, well no need for the rubber sheets but I was up alot!

EWWWW lunges!!!!

Karen...how do I do my lunges?? I DONT! LOL! Bob is the lunge/squat king. I see kids doing them at the gym all around the track carrying weights...must be nice to have such strong knees..they just kill mine!

Hun.e.B 03-26-2008 01:08 PM

Melissa73...way to go to your son!!! I have no doubt in my mind that you will make that 100 day goal! I cannot believe its 88 already..time flies!! You are amazing I hope you know that!!

Idealmuse 03-26-2008 01:09 PM

1....2....3..... Lunges You suck! :)

Pre-TOM is here and I'm up 2 already @&(# hope it goes away by next week!

Idealmuse 03-26-2008 01:11 PM

melissa73 - I'm a HUGE TurboJam fan. I lost a whole bunch of my weight about 50lbs when I was between 280-230 doing turbojam every other day alternating with some other DVD. Love love love it! I only stopped because of the running... and biking... and swimming. No time for Jamming!
