I'm a Dancing With The Stars nerd, so I am having to record TBL anymore, which is a good thing. I can ff thru all the commercials & repeated crap they do after every commercial. I think I like it better this way. ;)

Hi Team!
I think I've been away a week. I've missed you all. This last week has been crazy all the way around. Last Wednesday was my daughter's birthday. I sang in The Messiah that night. It was wonderful, but by the time I got home that evening, my voice was gone. On Thursday, I waited for my voice to come back, but it didn't so I missed singing again Thursday night. My birthday was on Friday, but I had so much congestion and felt so yucky that I didn't even go out with my husband. My voice still hasn't come back, so I couldn't sing at church on Easter Sunday. I was able to speak in church though. My family all came over for Easter dinner on Sunday evening. Between Easter and the three birthdays my family celebrated this week, I'm afraid my eating hasn't been 100%. Today, I hosted History Club for my homeschool group. It was fun, but also a lot of work since I was in charge of 3 hours of activities for 18 kids. I haven't been sleeping well because I keep coughing all night long even after taking cough medicine. I'm sorry I've been so sick during this challenge. It's really made it hard to lose weight. I hope you'll all forgive me for my bad showing. |
:woohoo: Great job this week team! Muse - AWESOME!!!! You are doing GREAT!
I know we are going to finish strong! I'm off to post my day's results on the REDWINS challenge :D |

I am so sorry you haven't been feeling well. I do understand what not feeling well for a very long time does to a person. You sure sound like you are a busy person too. Sorry your voice didn't come back for you to sing in church. |
Jen, I am right there with you on being sick during this challenge. I've been sick 2x since we started but both times have wiped me out for over a week, nearly 2. I hope things turn around for you and you are healthy for the remainder of the year ;)

Awesome job RED TEAM!!! Keep up the great work everyone!
My favorite Marty quote from tonights boot camp: "We can finish this out strong! Let's push through this!" :cheer:Let's go RED team!!:cheer: Wow Muse, you are doing wonderful! look at that weight come off of you! I'm jealous!! You are an inspiration! Keep up the great work! |
So as you can see from my last post, I did make it to Boot Camp tonight! The last boot camp before Amy & Marty go off to get hitched. No boot camp for me for a week and a half. They both kicked our butts HARD tonight. Wow! I seriously had to pull my car over because I felt like I was about to :barf:
I am so excited, I am starting to see a difference! My watch is so loose on my wrist, my rings are sliding off. I CAN FEEL MY COLLAR BONES!! I haven't seen my collar bones since my wedding almost 5 years ago when I weighed 215! They aren't sticking out yet profusely, but can definitely feel them! :cb::cb: I got on the scale this evening...I hardly ever do that because I usually weigh about 5 pounds more than I do the following morning, my weight had stayed steady throughout the day which means I should have a loss tomorrow morning! :cb::cb: This logging my calories again I think is definitely going to work for me! |
Hi Everybody,
Awesome win team!! I can't believe there are only two weeks left. Although my weight loss has not been huge, I am so glad I have lost what I have. :carrot:Hopefully in two weeks I can take a bit more off. Last week I did better eating but Easter dinner was a problem, especially the leftovers. Anyway the best stuff is gone and I am going to try to be really good now. Exercise has been great. I pretty much go to the Y everyday. Today was weight training with the lunge/squat queen. It is not nearly as difficult as it was a month ago. Our weather is really getting warm here which means running outdoors and grilling dinner. Yeah! I seem to have more control of my eating when the weather is nice. Andi-congrats on the great results from your exercise. |
Rennie the show is on Tuesday nights at 7pm on NBC.

Diva...its about darn time you poked your head in here!!!
Jen....there you are!! I'm so sorry you've been so sick, I really hope you heal soon! Sorry we missed your birthday but HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY!!! Andi...oh collarbones!!! I love when those pop out because it really means you are losing!! Congrats on all your amazing success!! Keep it up girlie! Terapet...and every week its gonna get easier and easier!! Keep up the great work!!! |
Sheesh I almost forgot to pat myself on the back! I rocked it today!! I worked out for the entire BL show. I did weights, hula hooped and did my elliptical for 45 minutes. Now I'm exhausted and ready for bed. I'm a little worried though because I've had 5 - 28oz bottles of water so I'm gonna be up all night long visiting the potty!!! Unless I go comatose from so much exercise then maybe I'll need rubber sheets tonight LOL! Better warn dh! LOL...okay yes I'm delirious and talking gibberish, time for bed!

Oh my gosh after all that exercise I bet it is rubber sheet time lol Andi So glad you are seeing a difference, you have been working hard. Terapet You are doing good. Sometimes getting off track a bit happens. Get back on the trail and you are going to see results. Lunges, those do get easier. Wish I could do more of them but they kill my knees. |

I just tried today and I can squat to 90 degree and HOLDDDDdddd it! Yeow! Progress is grand! :) |
Speaking of lunges - do you guys do them forward or backward? And is one harder than the other? I have always found them to be difficult. I also have the first Biggest Loser DVD and couldn't ever do all of them. I have been doing the Get Ripped DVD with Jari Love and the lunges on that DVD are to step back with one leg, then bend your knee down (lunge) to the floor, come up and then step forward. They are definitely challenging to the muscles but seem easier for me to do. How does everyone else do their lunges?
