really don't care to go through that experience again either.
We'll see what happens tomorrow morning but I'm really starting to think I'm not.
I recently switched from Depo Provera (which I was on for about a year and a half) to the Mirena IUD. It's a 5-year contraceptive with SUPER low-dose of hormones. They work locally, so they're not supposed to have the same impact in the blood stream that the injectable/oral contraceptives have. I know that I feel much less psychotic with the Mirena, for sure! If you don't want to do hormones at all, there's also a Copper T IUD that lasts for 10 years! I think IUDs are great contraceptive options, they're just as effective as the Pill or Depo but without the hassle of remembering to take a pill or get shots 4 times a year.Originally Posted by chellez

Anyway, I thought I'd throw that option out there for you. I don't think I'd ever be comfortable with the PO method...it's scary!

who made the Dalkon shield have really screwed up the perception of what is acutally NOW a safe option.

Condoms were never a realistic option - just didn't happen in my long term relationships with any kind of consistency.

I was totally taken by surprise and haven't been able to stop smiling since it happened. Another good way to start a Monday for sure.
