Well! That's the meanest thing I've EVER heard you say, Mauvais! Den and Squeak are trying desperately to respectfully mourn the loss of a Ramone, and you're making cheap cracks.

Great news re: the financing, Hannah!

Mette, what a cozy time you had with your niece.

I'm doing great, thank you, Squeak! (well, apart from Mother)
Yes, some gay men can be very flirtatious with women. Talk about teasing! One of my friends once said to me, "If I'd known you in high school, I would have either hated you, or fallen in love with you."

Ellis-Glad to hear you are doing so well.

Mauvais-How is the house hunting going?

I have already been out to a doctor appt for DS14, then Sylvan Learning Center for same kid. Next I have to sit with him for 3 hours on Main street while he begs for money from the passersby. (Orchestra) I HOPE DH GETS HOME EARLY ENOUGH TO TAKE OVER. I HATE sitting in public and I HATE being around a bunch of people. Just the thought of it is making me hungry...and we will be sitting in front of a coney island!!

ellis- the Ramones did songs for the soundtrack of Rock n' Roll High School - I can hardly diss a band when I own some of their music now can I Hey they were fun, me and my friends listened to them when we were in high school

Den and Squeak - sorry, didn't mean to offend either of you

We bought a house and take possession on October 14 - I will be living in the same area as ellis, in fact our house is right around the corner and our back yards face onto each other! Just kind of turned out that way - thank goodness we get along, well except for the fact that HER strawberry plants are growing over onto MY property - I told her that if there are strawberries on side of the property line then they are MINE! Then she told me to trim the branches off my tree because they were encroaching on HER property

We are going to make a hole in the fence so we won't have to walk as far to visit

Mauvais-No offense taken! It is SO cool that your back yards are attached!!!!! (ANYTHING that grows onto your property is YOURS, even if it is "encouraged.") I hope you two won't be going out for Dim Sum TOO often!!

Ellis-Are you going to take coffee over in the morning? Or make her walk over to get it? Actually, with your kitchen remodeling plans maybe Mauvais should make YOU coffee!!

Now you just need to get Ruthxxx to move!!! I'll come to visit all of you after getting DS settled in Guelph!!!

Yes, Den. I am going to get up at 6:30 in the morning, make coffee, put on my prettiest apron, and trudge through the backyards.
Don't you hate those fund raiser thingys?

Mauvais, I'll have to introduce you to the cats in the neighbourhood. There's one... a mangy old black thing with (I think) a broken tail. I don't know if he belongs to anyone... he looks terrible... but I'm very fond of him. He sleeps in my back yard, and sometimes on the verandah.

I'll cook if Squeak does the dishes and the housework!!! (Sorry Squeak...age before beauty!!!)

DH, the kids, and I went to the Renaissance Festival over the weekend...WHAT A BLAST!! I've been wanting to go for YEARS (decades?) and we could never quite pull the bucks together. DH and the kids loved it too. DS17 was even talking like he'd like to go dressed up, which is usually more MY speed than his!! DS14 was probably one of the loudest people at the jousting tournament, which is always a sign that HE is having a good time. Now I want to go again next year.

Hope the rest of you had a WONDERFUL weekend too!!

I've always wanted to go to one of those too Den but I think the nearest one is a 3 or 4 hour drive away but I am determined to go one day. Sounds like you all had a lot of fun

Hi everyone!
Nice to be able to chat with you all again! My computer was on the fritz since June and have not been able to get on the internet. I missed you all so much. Ellis, Mauvais, Den, Squeaker, so nice to see you are all still hanging in there, and I am looking forward to getting to know all you newbies.
I am doing well, emotionally, however, I have put some weight back on but(t) am here to take it off. Started back to Curves tonight. I was away for 3 weeks and gained 2 pounds back. Oh well, I am going to stick to the Christmas challenge of 10 pounds.
Leaving for Florida on October 17th to the 24th, but I think I will do okay, because we will be walking a lot and I may evn find a Curves there.
Chat again soon. Love you all, take care.
Virginia

Squeak-That's okay, 'cause if you let the cat hair build up enough it helps keep your feet warm in the morning....(YUCK!!!)

Mauvais-YUP! We had a BLAST. I'm lucky, because ours is only an hour away. Next time I'll get there BEFORE it opens though, so we don't have to park so far away!!

Virginia-HI!! Glad to hear things are going well for you. I haven't been on program, but I'm still here for the friendship!! Also hoping that the "losing energy" rubs off on me!!!

Ellis-HI!! Will you bring me some coffee while you're out? I'm barely awake this morning!!
