There's way too much breast talk going on here, Soozie. :D (what do they do with the extra? Could you sell it?)

Teufelchen, how did the wedding go? Did you restrain yourself? ;)
Happy Thanksgiving to you, too... enjoy your turkey.

Den, tell your DH to stop sabotaging you. I don't know what you could threaten him with... I'd normally suggest a Bobbit, but I know that wouldn't suit YOU!

Rowan... you, Den, Ruth and I are back on track TOMORROW! :drill:

Aqua, congrats on the 1/2 pound! Are you still cheery? :)

Hello Amy and Rachie and Ruthie and Squeak and everyone!

I need a chef. To make me exquisite meals and snacks. While I'm working out at the gym.

soozie 10-13-2003 09:38 AM

Ellis...you mean you still haven't hired a chef...my goodness...has the interviewing process been that difficult...I know its hard to find someone of integrity and quality but now, now ,my dear...you have to get on with it...
hire someone and let your chauffeur take you to the gym more often...
love, Soozie

soozie 10-13-2003 09:42 AM

About the extra boobage...well, first they weight it and report to the insurance company how much they removed...then, I'm not certain, but I did sign a release that gave them permission to use it for medical education or research or to dispose of it...yuck city...

also in the release I signed that they could photograph or video tape the procedure for educational purposes since its a big teaching hospital...so, if you see me on extreme makeovers you'll know why...

shoequeen69 10-13-2003 02:40 PM

Yeah!

RachieD 10-14-2003 08:46 AM

-Hi All-
Just checking in, I am down 3lb. so far...definitly happy about that! Surprised though, i've been BUSY BUSY with work and school, havent had time to think about eatting healthy...o`well, I'll just have to work on it. : )

*Soozie Good Luck Tomorrow..sending good vibes your way*

soozie 10-14-2003 08:58 AM

Ellis, Wild, Flake, and Rachie,
Thanks for all of your well wishes...tomorrow is the big day...or the moderately evenly proportioned day I should say...;)

Say a few prayers for me...that all goes well health wise...we'll leave the boobs up to the surgeon...just the lifeforce to the higher power...don't think she wants direct involvement with the details of my cleavage...but, I hope she'll look down and help me heal so I can be available asap for my sweet daughter...
who asked today...

Mom, are you getting breast reductioned tomorrow?

okay, she didn't get that word from me...she added, are you scared, sad, or glad?
I said, just glad sweety...don't want her to fret.

thanks again loves,
talk to you soon...
Soozie

squeaker 10-14-2003 09:00 AM

Good luck tomorrow Soozie! :grouphug:

soozie 10-14-2003 09:12 AM

Thanks Squeaky!
I'll be in touch to let you know how I'm doing...
think perky!
love, Soozie

shoequeen69 10-14-2003 09:54 AM

Good Luck Soozie! :crossed: I meant to comment earlier on your post. I can totally relate to your chocolate problem. At least your DP realized that it was hard for you and put it away. Its not that my sweetie isn't supportive, but I think he likes me fat and he's keeping me this way :nono: hahaha He's trying more lately, but his family is not helping. They keep bringing sweets and cooking fatty foods. I'm just trying my best to stay away. :T I also wanted to add that you sound like such an awesome, upbeat lady. All the posts on here lift me up, thats why I check in the a.m. I hope everything comes off ok - hehehe:lol:

mauvaisroux 10-14-2003 11:05 AM

Good luck tomorrow Soozie! :lucky:

dentrassi 10-14-2003 12:20 PM

Good luck tomorrow Soozie!! Sending perky boob vibes your way!!!

Teufelchen 10-15-2003 12:22 PM

Hi everyone

Hope you all had a great weekend. ;)

Ellis - I did all right at the wedding but since Monday was a holiday our Weight Watchers was closed. HOWEVER, I did buy a new pair of pants (in itself a miracle) in a size 14!!!! :cb:

I am trying something new to help with the weight loss. It`s called Yerba Maté. When I get home (I`m at school right now) I will be able to provide more details.

Ciao for now all!

Aquareggie 10-15-2003 05:00 PM

Ooo, sounds mysterious, T!

OK, Soozie, I'm thinking about you right now... you are getting sleepy... I am going to count from 10 to 1... when I say, "1," you will wake up and be... perky. :p

Everything's so-so here. Had two vegan days, then two non-vegan days (which weren't healthy days!). On again, off again. Better than the slump I was in a week ago, though. Today is vegan day and it's going pretty well. One day at a time, right?

AR

Rowan Bailey 10-16-2003 10:26 AM

Teufelchen
Yerba Mate is a great balancing tea. It is very healthy for you. I don't know how it ties into weight loss, but it does support good health. Let us know if it makes a difference..I didn't notice that, but other things that made me feel better...maybe I will go drag that out and make some!!

I have stalled, I am not going to hit my goal for Halloween, but I am still focused on what I am doing, and have some room for me to work at my own pace here. Although I am thinking of doing phase 1 (SBD) again, that was very motivating.

Glad to see everyone is doing so well, it is inspiring!!

rb

Aquareggie 10-16-2003 10:45 AM

Hey RB, good for you for keeping at it even if you think you won't make the H-goal.

Had a vegan day yesterday. :D

Wishing you all well,
AR

Aquareggie 10-17-2003 07:50 AM

So this week I did 4 days vegan and 3 days veggie. Monday and Tuesday I ate junk food. Thought that would throw me for the week, but it didn't. The two vegan days after that saved me. I'm down half a pound.

Hmm, four pounds in two weeks to make the Halloween goal... probably not, but I'm still gonna try. :)

soozie 10-19-2003 08:16 PM

Hi girls...
I'm back. Feeling pretty well considering what they did to me!

and Aqua...your hypnosis worked...I now have perky "C"s...really! :wizard:

wow, what a difference...people keep saying that they can see my face, or my neck , or my shoulders, or how much smaller I look in general. I'm wrapped tightly in a wide ace bandage right now so they're pushed down even more than they will be but, wow, they sit really high! Can't wait to heal and start buying sexy bras! and all of my t shirts are four inches longer than they were.

the surgeon removed almost five pounds of tissue...yeah, that's right, all along it was just tissue stuffed in those bras...sorry, couldn't resist...

that five includes chub removed from my sides so my sides are actually flat under my arms...no extra boobage spilling over there...and I threw a bunch of gnarly, stretched out, over worn, over washed, bras in the trash today...saved some nicer ones for the give away pile.

I see the surgeon on Tuesday and then can remove this bandage and take a shower...please, I can't wait, I've been washing my armpits with baby wipes...

I'm having very minimal pain...more like discomfort. and I am happy.
It will be so nice to exercise with these little cuties. I'm really renewed in my motivation to lose weight and get my body healthy.

nothing like having your pendulous boobs banished and two spritely ones attached to the front of your chest to get you excited about exercise and inspired to shrink the gut...it is a bit pronounced now (the belly) but, only for the moment. can't wait to do crunches and work those abs...now that they're out of the shadows...even without a bra on... :cloud9:

I took more before pictures just before surgery and after I see the surgeon on Tuesday I'll take some afters in the same outfit as the befores...sorry, I didn't do nudes...but, you'll get the whole picture, believe me...and now that I do own a digital camera it won't be a problem to post them on my website and you'll all get to ogle, stare, and ooh and ahh at my new bosom...
love,
Lil Boobie Soozie

soozie 10-19-2003 08:56 PM

Oh and even though they removed five pounds of flesh I did not show a loss right away...I was up a bit...all of the swelling and all of the fluid they pumped in during surgery and during the next 24 hours when they kept me on IV fluids and were encouraging me to drink alot...so, I weighed 176 this morning...a pound less than my last weigh-in here and a half of a pound less than my lowest in a long, long, time...

So, even though Halloween is only 12 days away I'm going to stick with my last goal of 169 by the 31st...maybe some of this weight is still fluid retention...but, even if I don't get to 169 at this point every pound down is taking me into territory that I haven't seen for awhile and that's exciting...okay, I'll try to shut up now...

Love,
the New Barbie version of Soozie
(you know, the one with the smaller hoo-haas...)

highest 196+
current weight 176
goal for 10-31 169
long term goal 136-146?

mauvaisroux 10-20-2003 07:53 AM

Glad your surgery went well Soozie-you sound really happy with the results :)

shoequeen69 10-20-2003 04:03 PM

Thats so great Sooz! Glad you're back! Good luck at the doc tomorrow!

I'm ready to start the week off right. Well maybe we won't count today. :s: I went to Shreveport over the weekend and ate like you would not believe. It was sooooo good. But that was it. A final fling. I went for my lunch walk today after skipping all exercise last week. So I hope I can keep it up the rest of the week. I probably won't make my Halloween goal. But I'm really going to try to lose something, anything, by then. Good luck this week everyone! Oh, and if you're wonderin' - I didn't win nuttin' at the casinos  but i really had a good time :spin:

soozie 10-20-2003 07:50 PM

Hey Amy, I meant to tell you she's all talk, my DP that is, she DID NOT HIDE the Halloween candy and I've helped myself to more of it. My sister and my niece came to visit me yesterday and I almost sent it all home with them but, then I didn't want to make DP to angry...though, if she does something like that again...buys alot of chocolate, I will give it away.
love, soozie
gotta get ready, going for acupuncture and man, do I need it.

dentrassi 10-20-2003 08:25 PM

SOOZIE!!!!! YAY!!!!!!!!! Perky Cs!!!!!!! Glad to see you here....and NOT hanging around!!!! Your excitement is contagious! I found myself thinking, "I want to do that too!" while reading your post!!!

Aquareggie 10-21-2003 07:59 AM

Yay! Soozie's back! :D Say good by to the W and hello to the oo.

mauvaisroux 10-21-2003 09:53 AM

Phooey- went to ww last night and discovered that I gained 1.5lb since thanksgiving weekend! :p

I am trying to get back OP this week and back to exercising more.

shoequeen69 10-21-2003 10:21 AM

It's ok mauvaisroux. I don't know what Thanksgiving is like in Canada but I'll be lucky if I only gain 1.5 pounds! hehe Good luck this week! :)

ellis 10-21-2003 10:30 AM

Yeah, Mauvais. Just thank God we're not Americans. Amy, you girls probably pack on at least five pounds during YOUR Thanksgiving, don't you? ;)

mauvaisroux 10-21-2003 12:07 PM

Thanks Amy!

Yeah Ellis, it must be really tough to have Thanksgiving with Christmas right behind it. At least we have about 2 months to recover from our Thanksgiving feast before we have the Christmas eating whirl! :)

I am getting much better at the Christmas thing though. I used to start munching on chocolates and goodies from December 1st through New years Day but for the last 3 years I have started the week before Christmas and regulated the treats to one per day instead of eating whatever is available.

shoequeen69 10-22-2003 10:22 AM

hahaha Thanks Ellis. Yup, we sure do go all out over here. Turkey, dressing, mashed potatos, pumpkin pie with whipped cream:ink:-and then we take a nap! :) And wake up and do it all over again! And Christmas is worse! Turkey, ham, mashed potatoes, gravy, 3 kinds of pies and so much more! Thats kinda why I wanted to get some weight off before then so I could just enjoy myself and feel ok about it. I bought some good veggies to eat at work this week so I hope I can do better. Keep up the good work!

Teufelchen 10-23-2003 10:26 PM

Hi all

Geez - this is the first time in a while that I've had time to post. WHAAAAA!!

First of all - Soozie - congrats on the perky boobs. I'm sure they must be inspirational. I've NEVER had perky boobs, no matter what size I was. *LOL*

I started talking about Yerba Mate. You can drink it as a tea but when I went to the health food store the clerk there suggested using it in pill form (along with other ingredietns like green tea, cayenne pepper, etc.). The yerba mate is supposed to help curb your appetite and give you energy. I think the energy thing might be working, althought I have also been exercising which always helps. But the hunger thing - NOT! Still hungry! But I'm not giving up on it yet.

Went to WW this week and stayed the same. That in itself is a success in my books.

My goal was to lose 4 pounds by Halloween. I don't that's going to happen but I plan on loosing SOMETHING!!

Anyway, gotta go to bed....so.....tired.

Bye everyone!:grouphug:

Aquareggie 10-24-2003 07:40 AM

Teufelchen -- Yeah, maintaining IS a success. So many people lose for a while, but then gain it all back. Good for you. :D

I maintained too. Had three vegan days this week. But screwed up with two junk food vegetarian days Tue and Wed. Ah well. I'll do better next time.

Not gonna lose 4 pounds in one week, but still glad I did the challenge. :)

AR

sflake 10-24-2003 08:37 AM

I am so close....3 pounds away from my goal, fingers crossed.

:bravo: to the losers & maintainers!

mauvaisroux 10-24-2003 09:35 AM

Good going on the maintenance chickies:cp:

Sflake-good luck with those 3 lbs:lucky:

soozie 10-24-2003 11:01 AM

hi girls,
I usually do my official weigh-in on Monday so I'll post my official weight then but, I did jump on the scale today...and I'm at
173.5!!!!
wow, haven't seen that number for awhile...years...
I still feel like I'm retaining some post-op fluid but that is getting better, my belly is going back to it's normally puffiness instead of the huge balloon state that it was in for the past week.

So, hey, maybe I'll really make my Halloween goal of 169...4.5 pounds in one week is a bit too much but if I'm still hanging on to some post-op bloat and that comes off...and I lose one or two real lbs of chub...well, I 'll be really really happy even if I weigh 172 or 173 next week...and if my numbers keep slowing moving in the downward direction.

Love you,
Soozie

Rowan Bailey 10-24-2003 11:24 AM

I only reached half of my goal...that sucks. I did however keep on track, and am starting to work with a pilates trainer later today, so I don't feel the time is wasted......

soozie 10-24-2003 12:41 PM

Go Ro Go Ro.....

Rowan Bailey 10-25-2003 12:58 PM

Thanks Soozie!
I did the pilates yesterday and I am sore all over, it feels good. I am slowing losing the weight that I gained back from the original ten (was going between 8-10).

I am feeling better today, more positive then I have in a while....My new goal is that I have a complete OP week and do some exercise, I will call myself complete and then make my next goal.

I don't usually do things like this, and the accountability was great, even though I didn't do my original commitment, it was a great process for me to have.

I just love this board!!!
