mauvaisroux 09-02-2003 07:48 AM

Nice pic Soozie :) and your daughter is adorable

sflake 09-02-2003 08:04 AM

Hi Everyone

Soozie~ What a beautiful family you have :) you must be so proud.

OK Halloween Challenge official start weight = 229 :yikes:

ellis 09-02-2003 08:11 AM

Oh lordy... is it weigh in time? I've gained 2 pounds. 179. I'm planning on losing them today. LOOK OUT!!

soozie 09-02-2003 08:22 AM

thanks girls
sflake, love your twain quote.

sflake 09-02-2003 08:28 AM

right back at ya sooz when we had toll roads here we used to always pay for the person behind us. It's sad but random kindness often freaks people out.

soozie 09-02-2003 08:40 AM

Yeah flake, I know.
here's a nicer pic of us...I'm going to delete the other one, just to not hog up space...I'll repost that one with my after in October...I chose that one because I thought it was the yuckiest and displayed the girls, not DP and DD...I mean THE girls...the best...so, here's one I like better...
Love,Soozie

squeaker 09-02-2003 09:43 AM

You girls are adorable! :)

ellis 09-02-2003 10:08 AM

Oh Soozie... that's gorgeous! Yes, it IS a better pic. ;) I love the way your DP is trying not to get TOO close to Goofy.

dentrassi 09-02-2003 10:58 AM

Soozie-Yes, the second picture is better of you, but the first one is sweet too. With the three of you snuggled up and smiling I see a very happy family. Remember, you are your OWN worst critic!! When I look at my OWN "bad" pictures I try to remember that they represent a time in my life. My FIL is a photographer, and after DS16 was born he DIDN'T take my picture because I looked so bad (recovering from surgery.) The problem is, that if you went only by HIS pictures it would look like DS appeared with no mother!! he thought he was doing me a favor because my MIL is so freaky about bad pictures, but instead it made me disappear from a period of family history that, personally, I think I was rather involved with!!!!!

dentrassi 09-02-2003 11:43 AM

Okay, like Soozie was saying earlier.....I have a tendency towards defiance and not wanting to meet goals etc. So I am going to just say that my Halloween goal is to stick to program and lose some weight by Halloween. Funny, I keep my promises to other people, but not to myself.

soozie 09-02-2003 01:25 PM

Okay...I broke down and weighed in after all...
179, up 2.5 pounds...
ready to knock that number back down girls!
Soozie

sflake 09-02-2003 01:25 PM

Den~ I'm with ya with on promises and other stuff. Seems like I take way better care of others than I do myself...But that's gonna change :)

Soozie~ I think we are way tougher on ourselves then on others. I think that they are both nice pictures. You all look sooo happy! Now if it was I was in the picture I wouldn't like it at all. When I try to find a picture I like of myself I have to go back so far it's nothing like me now.

Ruthxxx 09-02-2003 01:52 PM

Lovely pics, Sooze. Having two mommies has to be the best thing in the world for little girls!

mauvaisroux 09-02-2003 08:07 PM

Arrrg! I had a really bad craving for ice cream today and had a Klondike bar with bits of Skor chocolate bar in it! :yikes:

ellis 09-02-2003 08:11 PM

Only one? :D

mauvaisroux 09-03-2003 07:29 AM

Yeah, at least I showed a little restraint

squeaker 09-03-2003 08:08 AM

Anytime you don't manage to eat the whole bag, box, pint, etc. it should be considered a victory. Or at least I think so when I show at least some control. ;)

ellis 09-03-2003 08:21 AM

My sentiments, EXACTLY, Squeak! :D

twodogmom 09-03-2003 08:23 AM

I agree with squeaker. I bought some sf popsicles last night after work, and I'm NOT going to tell you how many I ate! :o

Soozie, you have such a nice family, you all look very happy (and your daughter is adorable)! Good for you! I love seeing pictures of people that I "talk" to on message boards.....however, you'll notice that I'm the last person to ever post a picture of myself. Wait until I reach my goal, then I'll show my face!

Lidian 09-03-2003 08:12 PM

Soozie, what a lovely picture - you are all beautiful!

Lidian

ellis 09-03-2003 09:22 PM

Twodog, it's not your FACE that we're interested in. heh heh.

dentrassi 09-04-2003 12:49 AM

Ellis-PLEASE DON'T USE THIS FORUM TO PICK UP CHICKS!!!!!

twodogmom 09-04-2003 07:27 AM

ellis, I'll show you mine if you show me yours!

ellis 09-04-2003 07:32 AM

Oooooh, good one, Den!

dentrassi 09-04-2003 10:41 AM

snicker :D

ellis 09-04-2003 01:09 PM

My WHAT, Twodog!? What a nasty mind you have. ;)

mauvaisroux 09-04-2003 02:31 PM

 We really do need a pimpslap smiley!

Aquareggie 09-05-2003 05:31 PM

Hi everyone --

Fridays are my weigh-in day and I still haven't lost. Just wanted to check in here to maintain accountability. Talk to you all soon.

AR

mauvaisroux 09-05-2003 10:30 PM

Hey Aquareggie!

I agree with you on the accountability factor :) I haven't been doing that well either. Although I did go to Red Lobster and skipped the stuffed this and cream sauce covered that and stuck with1/2 a calamari appetizer and a plate of mussels in white wine broth and I skipped dessert even though they looked so yummy
:T - so I think I did pretty good tonight :D

Aquareggie 09-07-2003 09:45 AM

Yes you did! :clap emoticon:

You know, after we lose all this weight, we still have to deal with stuff like Red Lobster. So it probably helps in the long run to lose the weight slowly and still eat normally, rather than "diet."

Hmmm. I had a good eating day yesterday. And was physically tired from work. Does that count as exercise?

Rowan Bailey 09-07-2003 11:19 AM

If being tired from work counted as exercise...I'd be Twiggy!!! Good One!!!! :)

aphil 09-08-2003 09:44 AM

Hey everyone!
I am joining this challenge a bit late, but I am here....
my current stats:175 pounds
my Halloween goal:170 pounds

other goals:
gain more muscle definition in my abdominals, arms, and legs!

stay on a steady work schedule of sewing costumes for my Halloween rush...I am known to procrastinate a bit and then not sleep for a week working all night. :^:

Stay in my habit of regular exercise while my dance teacher is out on maternity leave-so I will be doing weight training, Pilates, yoga, AND my bellydancing at home!

Spend more "quality" time with my children each day-even if it is only 15 or 20 minutes-doing something like taking a small walk together, or playing a short board game, or coloring together.
Aphil

sflake 09-08-2003 11:00 AM

still at 229. Hurt my leg over the weekend and can't put weight on it so I hopping around like a lunatic, so with no exercise I imagine I will be at 229 for a while oh well such is life :)

ellis 09-08-2003 11:44 AM

Sflake, I'm so sorry you've hurt yourself. :( You can STILL sit in a chair and do crunches and things. ;)
Hope it's better soon, hon. :grouphug:

dentrassi 09-08-2003 12:10 PM

SFLAKE-BUMMER! Hope your leg is feeling better soon.

sflake 09-08-2003 03:46 PM

Thanks, I think it's just a pulled muscle, oh I'm such a baby! Hopefully a little rest will cure me. :)

mauvaisroux 09-08-2003 09:11 PM

Blarrgh!
Just got home from WW. I gained 2lbs in the last two weeks. Wah:(

ellis 09-09-2003 06:49 AM

Back down to 177.
Mauvais, obviously you ate FAR more than I did at Dim Sum. :snooty:
Must have been all that sticky rice. :s:

mauvaisroux 09-09-2003 07:18 AM
