Good Morning Ladies
Does anyone have any really good meatless recipes - made with real food? I am going to be eating cleaner, and not alot of meat, unless I know with absolute certainty that it has been ethically raised and killed.
Sorry for the terrible grammar - I haven't been sleeping - our little pekingese has developed disc disease and has a paralysed back end - we are trying everything we can to help her come back - she hates the restricted environment and cries pitifully - just wants to be held...
More later - and thanks for the the food tips if anyone has any

Hey all.....yes I am still Fibless and one once a day dose for almost 2 weeks. I feel good oh so good huhuh! Charlie was housemaid Ethell's baby by the slimmy Canadian with the dumb mustache and nasty father. Found I could have watched the rest of the season on Prime but choose to do it this way along with the rest of the USA. Thought the money story was kinda hookey, but the lead into Sybil's problems was grabbing. How come Gram-mama has gotten so with it. My DGM had that toaster and it smoked like that and looked like it would electrocute you any second. Who ever invented the metal cover is a hero.

Am lossing my mind. I decided yesterday to buy enough groceries for rest of the week without my list. I forget all the important stuff...like cheese stix, fudgepops, peanut butter and Prunes(thanks Bobbi) Stopped for gas and it had gone up 20 cents since I forgot to get it Friday....20!

Karen...SB is so forgiving and even if you started level 2 early listen to your body and if you have no cravings have your shake and enjoy. Do it in small steps, don't have 2-3 shakes. Maybe add blue berries instead. I tried chocoa mix to yogurt last night and it was pretty good...need to tweek it about since my plain yogurt was pretty sour. thanks!

Glad that you are feeling so good Karen, And thanks for the tips on SouthBeach! I really haven't "started" Phase 2--just had the one shake yesterday morning. Today I can't believe that I got up and got moving and forgot to eat breakfast!! I take the thyroid med. and have to wait 1/2 hour before eating... so did that and jumped in the shower and got ready for church, grabbed a cup of coffee out the door and didn't realize I hadn't eaten until we got to the Lonestar Steakhouse for lunch! DUH!! BUT I was good-- I ordered the Sierra Chicken, which is grilled chicken breast, and a salad and steamed veggies. I only ate one of the chicken halves(they brought 2) and ate all my salad and veggies except didn't touch the carrots. AND I DIDN"T TOUCH THE BREAD!! YAY!!I got home and put it in myfitness pal and if I would have eaten both pieces of chicken it would have been a total of 666 calories....I know I don't like that number but I didn't eat the other one so guess I'm oK!! LOL!! Brought the other chicken half home and will probably let Tim have it tonight and I'll have my veggie soup. I think I will keep up they way I have been going and have the regular Southbeach way---until I crave that shake again!! But at least I know it won't do a bunch of damage!

Donna, sounds like you had a pretty productive saturday! Thanks for the compliment on my weight loss...pretty excited about it. My sister is about a pound behind me but she has had to eat out a few more times than me. But doing good too.

Gayle, Have you asked them to just set you up a room there with a TV, refigerator and all just for you?? DON'T DO IT----They probably would!! LOL!! Remember though to take care of you!

Teagranny--- sorry to hear about your little furbaby. Have you thought about getting (or making) her one of those puppy wheel chairs? I see them more and more these days and the furbabies seem to get used to it pretty quick and then they have some freedom to move around. Ginger and Sissy send to her.

Well, I spent the last 1 1/2 hours syncing and updating my iphone and thought I would touch base here before I get busy and do something!

Have a good rest of your Sunday!

Hi Goldies! Looks as though everyone is pretty much back to pre-holiday eating etc.
I, on the other hand have had a terrible 2 days with food etc. The good old Prednisone has kicked in with the sleeplessness and constant hunger. I've eaten everything in sight! I bet I've had 5000 calories today! well, ... maybe not, but an awful lot! I had a lot yesterday too and I was up 3 lbs this morning! geesh! I think the inflammation is pretty well taken care of so I'm going to stop the Prednisone and just use my inhaler and take the rest of the antibiotic. I do feel better, but am coughing a bit yet.

Tomorrow I'm going to force myself to get back on the track I was on.

I'm going to bed early tonight cuz I need to get up early and shower and get out of here before the guys get here.

Everyone have a good night. More later, .....

Good morning Goldie's
We had a good weekend at the camp. Food plan was not so good. I'm back on tract this morning and today I will start the dreaded exercise. I woke Saturday morning to a chest cold. I have a croaky voice and a lot of phlem that's gagging me. You think I couldn't eat like this. Ha. That's not happening. Sick or not I'm jumping back on. I have to. My pants are getting tight. I'm also craving the carbs because I'm eating too much carbs.

Bobbi~ to answer your question about what I'm eating. It's sweets. I'm out of control. The diet I'm following is called dukan diet. It's a high protein low carb low sugar low fat diet. I've lost a lot of weight doing it but the holidays and hunting and camping has sabotaged my plan. I've lost all willpower.

Carbie~everyone is back on tract except me. But I'll get it going. Steroids are very good for colds but the side effects are not so good.

Karen31~ I so admire your courage. It's very hard to have control when eating out.

Karenfl~ glad to hear you not in afib.

Tea~ sorry to hear your Lil friend is hurting. Sorry I have no recipe for meatless ones. I'm a meat eater. I would never survive that diet. Lol

I've ran out of time to do more personals. Hello to all I forgot
Hugs
Cajun.

Be back later, I have to get the 1st & 2nd Season Downton Abbey DVD packed up and mailed this morning, we looking at a house showing at 10:30 and we have to clean up our house for a family looking at it tomorrow.
Rosey....yes, I remember now you were one of the gals that posted your menu. I will start posting mine too, it really helps. I won't be posting yesterday's menu, like you I didn't count Super Bowl Sunday's calories. I'll just show you what I ate in some smilies.
. I will be semi-fasting all day today.
Later.....

Good Morning, All…

TeaGranny – so nice to see you! So sorry about your pup! I hope the little one gets better! Insofar as meatless recipes, God gave us Google just so you could search for recipes. I just did, and there are lots of meatless recipes out there for your perusal! Good luck!

KarenFL – I’m so glad you’re doing so well! I hope this continues! And did you enjoy DA last night? Things are starting to calm down, maybe….

CK – did you get a new phone? I’m constantly amazed and agog at your techno-knowledge. I’d be breaking out in a cold sweat if I tried to re-sync ANYTHING.

Carbie – you’ll be back on track. That’s the thing: we all know what we need to do and have to do to succeed; it’s just a matter of DOING it. I had a “free” weekend, and now I’m back on track for this week. Maybe that’s not a bad idea, to be “good” during the week and “normal” during the weekend?

Cajun – feel better!

Bobbi – I was a little confused. Are you looking AT a house today or do you have showings on your house both today and tomorrow?

I’m feeling a little like caca again. That wee cold I had last week has reappeared, I think. My cohort has all the symptoms of flu. This isn’t the way I wanted to have time off! Blech…

Everyone, have a good Monday! Be well!

I'm back.............
Donna...we looked at a house this morning, one we looked at before. We can get a really good deal on it because it was a foreclosure and the bank owns it. It's been on the market for about a year. It needs all new windows, all the icky carpets will be pulled out and replaced with hardwood floors and the kitchen will be gutted it we buy it.
Tomorrow we have a couple coming out to look at ours.

Cajun...I can see how people get addicted to sweets, have you tried making your own desserts with Stevia?

Nice to see your back Tea Granny.

Rosey...I have a soft spot for Mr. Cranky Pants, only because he brings you flowers. P.S. Show us the wall hanging when you finish it.

Carbie...I'm up 3 pounds too but not worried about it. One day of indulging isn't permanent. I think it might be a lot of salt retention.

K3...thanks for the advice of a grow light, I put one on it at once and will see if that's going to help. Prunes? Good Girl! Just keep drinking that water.

KarenMo...Cross your fingers tomorrow when the realtor brings out his clients to look at our home.

Carol Sue..I mix my applesauce, yogurt and cinnamon in the bowl first. Then pour my Fiber One packet on top and eat it that way. No, I don't stir it together. (I hate soggy cereal) It tasted like upside down apple pie..
Quote:
Do you eat your breakfast packet dry? Or do you mix it into your yogurt.
I think your little dog might like the crunchiness of the corn flakes and that's why he stays away from the cream of wheat.

Gayle...I can't remember if I answered your question about the hullless popcorn? I'm too busy to look back on my earlier posts. Don't buy it, not only expensive but they pop up really small. My all time favorite is 'Kernel Seasonings' popcorn. We used to be able to buy it around here but the store discontinued it. So many people buy the microwave packets and don't bother to pop it themselves. I finally sent for a whole box of it, I think the box had 12 packages in it. It's the best and pops up big kernels.

Now I have to go polish some of the oak door in our house, Charlies loves rolling in the snow...then wags his tail when coming in the house. All are doors get washed with his plume tail.

Donna, No I didn't get a new phone but they came out with a new operating system update for it. I was scared to do it after doing it to my old phone when we were in Colorado last September and KIILLED IT, but finally after having it available for over a month I got brave and did it yesterday! WHEW! No problems this time. But I made sure it was done in time that if I had trouble I could go to the AT&T store right away!! LOL!! Confidence??

Bobbi-- wishing you good luck on your showing. It will be such a relief once something is definite. Hey! There is a house available up the street from where we live!!

Ok sorry I didn't get to everyone but trying to get some stuff taken care of while Tim is at the dentist.. Once he gets back, we want to take Ginger and Sissy to Petsmart to get their nails trimmed.. I'm chicken to do it myself.

Have a good day!

Rosey - You do well at keeping your calories low, too. I don't dare post what I eat. LOL I start out the day really good, then DH comes along and prepares something really carby and yummy for lunch and I indulge. It's all downhill from there. I really need to stop that!

Can anyone tell me anything about Guacamole? I never had it, but I've been hearing that the fat in avacodos is good fat and you really need it so I bought one to try out. I looked online and read some recipes for it and then I mashed the avacado and added some chopped onion, chopped tomato, lime juice and then added a little bit of salsa for more tomatoes and a little bit of heat. I put in on some of my fiber crackers. Didn't impress me a lot. Then I remembered I had bought a packet of Guacamole mix. It's to be mixed with mashed avacado. I read the ingredients and there was a lot of unpronounceable things in it and I figured I was better just using my own ingredients.

Donna - I hope you can finally get rid of your cold. My cold symptoms keep re-appearing too, but their always milder each time so I'm hoping to be rid of it by next week.

Karen31 - I don't do well with phones. I am currently using a Tracfone. It keeps saying that it's on speaker and I can't figure out how to get it off. I have read the book and looked through the tools and I can't figure it out. I think I will have to ask my daughter next time she's over. She has a Tracfone, too.

Good morning Goldie's
Yesterday was a very good day. I brought out my mini trampoline and jogged on it and did some floor exercise. It's a start. This morning I threw out the last piece of cake that I snacked on this weekend. It tormented me all day yesterday but I was determined not to touch it. I've come too far to gains weight back. I can get the rest off. Which is about 40 lbs.
Dh and I are taking a vacation to the smokey mountains in October to see the fall colors. I'm hoping to be able to hike some trails. Hopefully I will be at goal by then. It's about 5 lbs a month.
I'm still down with this cold. Everyone in this house is getting it. I'm going to Lysol everything today. Maybe that will help.

Have no more time. Y'all have a good day!!

Hugs

Good Morning, can't linger today with people looking at the house this afternoon.
KarenMo...Okay, show me! Isn't Missouri known as the SHOW ME STATE? I'd love to live up the street from you, I would take advantage of all your exercise equipment, right?
Quote:

Donna, thanks for the crockpot link--it is now in my favorites!

Bobbi, remember I sold all the exercise stuff when we moved over here?? I just didn't have room for 2 treadmills, a Gazelle and a rucumbant bike here. But I thought since I have the videos and the wii, I would still be OK and they don't take up a lot of room. Remember in the other house I had a basement and had pretty much set up a good little circuit over there...I like this house better just wish we could have brought the basement and the pool with us!! LOL!!

Finally made it back down to my ticker weight!! YAY!!
