yest cals-1550. exerc-long walk with neighbor. My back is so much better today. I think the walk yesterday made a tremendous difference. I went on another today so I expect by tomorrow I could probably handle a Y class but I may put it off since I am enjoying the walking so much.

Marie-You are doing very well with your new plan. You are an inspiration to me. I did show my future DD the lace dress when I bought it and she seemed a bit reticent about it but did not say why. I thought it was the lace but then her mom showed me the dress with the lace so I can't imagine that was the problem. I don't know. I do not see them all that oftern-you know "they are just soooo busy". I will probably just not think about it for awhile. Maybe I will lose so much weight it won't fit anyway!

Am2-I am jealous of your exercise plans. Lucky girl!

Tera, sounds like you should go with your instincts on your future DIL's response. Dress #1 is gorgeous and cheery. I really liked them both.

Ending the day at 1290 cals. Yay!!! I did a WATP 4 mmile walk before work. Something to wake me up. DH and I signed up for the Chico (CA) Wildflower Bike ride on April 28th. The primary ride is 100 miles with elevation changes. We signed up for the 60 mile flatflower ride. Dipping our toes into organized rides. So I must get fit and stay healthy.

Woot, Marie, congrats on signing up for the organized ride. That sounds so fun & motivating!

Tera, glad your back is better & you are enjoying your long walks!

My exercise was the walks and also did weights (circuit training) in the morning & yoga tonight. Calories ended at 1405.

Had a somewhat emotional day re a situation going on, ended up taking a very long nap & think that will translate ended a better day tomorrow. Good-night, all!

Am2, I hope the desired feeling better tomorrow happens. Naps are so nice. I just love them, especially taking one when the sun is streaming through the window in the afternoon. Clearly get why kitties do that.

I had a good day cal and exercise. Ending the day at 1296 cals (it was 1283 but I just tossed a coffee bean in the every munchie trap so I have to add the 13 cals. I ellipticalled before work. Sunday DH and I plan a long, hilly bike ride so tomorrow I was thinking of a hike with the pups so the quads don't get too much of a workout.

Tera, hope all is well!

Have a great night and tomorrow!

Hi, all! Ended eating day at 1250 yesterday.

Realized I have been confused about dates because when the PC got fixed the date seems to have been put in wrong.

Marie, is a coffee bean 13 calories? Wow!

Tera, yea, hope all is well.

Will be working through the first week in May starting next week, then we will see. Determined to still get the steps in daily & stay on this lower calorie cycle.

Will be back with quick post about the weigh-in.

Holy smokes Am2!!! Way to go. You just bombed away from the 130's. I am so excited for you. Cool that you have a temp job. That's a good thing.

So I stayed under 1300 cals yesterday and it was an even day and it should have been 1400 cals. I was bummed but decided to add the 100 cals to tomorrow since DH and I will be going on a bike ride of 35 miles. We'll see. I will be good. I can DO this. (See Yoda, DO not try). Took the doggies out for a 1.7 mile hike. I swear that 1.7 mile hilly walk is way harder than the 4 mile WATP. Oh well, the WATP is something for doing something. Today is my youngest grandchild's first birthday. His party is in 2 hours. I already mapped out the calories.

Thanks, Marie!

You are doing great.looks like you had a fun hike. I think walking outdoors is definitely harder than the WATPs!

Tera, hope all is well.

Ended eating day at 2105, the high day for this week. Didn't want to go that high but it was healthy stuff, so not complaining.

Woot! Good night, all!

I'm back! The last two days just slipped away. DH had been out of town and when he came home we just got busy. Ha, ha-not that kind of busy if that is what you are thinking! No, lots and lots of yard work. My poor back-I don't know how I am surviving but the back is still gradually getting better. Hopefully I will be back to the Y this week. I was also busy with an interview process. Another great job but I think the age thing may be an issue. She actually asked me what year I graduated from college. That was kinda mean. She couldn't just guess, I was sitting right in front of her. Jeesh. My calories the last two days were not so great-somewhere around 2000. I did get out and walk with the neighbor and of course all the lovely yardwork.

Marie-Wow your bike riding is impressive. I think the furthest I have been is maybe 20 miles and my knees were killing me the next day-and that was flat land. Sounds like a great hobby to share with your husband plus all the fitness benefits and the joy of getting outdoors.

Am2-Congrats on your new weight and the work assignment. Pay is good!

Thanks, Tera. You are right, pay is good! Woot!

Hear ye on the ageism in interviews sometimes, that really s*cks, no other word for it. One of the last politically correct forms of prejudice. It won't always be that way, I really believe that.

Didn't we already go through something like this in 1980?

Well, today feeling really better, was not really great yesterday physically. Up & had a great breakfast & walking & organizing the first work week environment so it doesn't end up with any stress eating.

Calories 1200 yesterday, walking ended up with just short of 16,000 steps, even though I was really under the weather.

Later...

Posting early, sorry for three posts in a row!

California!

No, not going there but had a bit of a mental boost today when the trusty folk at Fitbit awarded moi the 750 lifetime miles badge. Seems I have walked that far since getting the tracker. It is the length of California.

Today hit approximately 16,500 steps but not done yet. Calories (Monday, April 14) are done at 1335 (edited as ate a bit more last night).

Have a good-night, all.

Tera, do protect your back doing the yard work. The other type of busy with DH would have been better.

All of California, Am2??? That is one very long state. Congrats!!!

The 30 mile bike ride was good yesterday. We did choose a path with hills and the organized ride is supposed to by flat. I ended the day at.... drum roll... 1400 cals. I stayed on track. I burned about that. Very cool. Today I will end at 1306 cals and DGS's birthday I stayed under 1300. I'm so pleased. I really love Yoda, the voice of wisdom. I did the 4 mile WATP this morning and walked the whole mall 5 times while pushing a double stroller (heavy) while DIL tried on bras. She only had nursing ones and she stopped nursing a while ago. She needed to bra shop so I pushed the babies. My wrists are sore. Not sore from the bike ride but my poor wrists from the stroller.... have a good night!
