Hi,

BCL216 did you lost the 17 lbs doing BFC? I am a member of his e-mail club and I see in September that he is going to be releasing a new book called BFC:Fast Track. From what I read on a blog it seems to be similar to Paleo eating, but with a little more meal ideas using everyday foods. I currently follow Paleo, but I really liked what I read about BFC. I need a little more wiggle room and the option to add a whole grain if I need it. So I was just curious. Any feedback would be helpful.

Thanks

Where did you find the gist of the Fast Track? I've been waiting very impatiently for it..... meanwhile I'm starting the BFC today, been doing Atkins since Tuesday.... It'
s been a rough summer..... off track and full of cravings.

:welcome:alfur, we pleased to have you join us. I think you will love BFC, it simple to follow and a plan that you can live with. I am not sure of the new fast track plan. I have not found it yet. I will do some searching and let you know. If you go back to the first couple of post you will see how the BFC plan works. We are here anytime you need us. We look forward to your input and welcome you as a BFC friend.

Hi,

@BCL216 Okay started with the mini 12 day on plan for BFC. I weighed in at 232. I had a cup of decaf tea no sugar, lemon to start and two Jimmy Dean sausages (BFC approved). Got up quite late and needed a quick meal to get out the door. Feel good.

@alfur I find the information on a Blog called George and Me. The writer is following BFC and seems to be in his "inner circle". She has lost a lot of weight. I will post the link again when I find it. She has been BFCing since the first book came out. Also, go to his website and sign up for his e-mail he sends cooking videos and shows products that he uses.

I know what you mean about being off plan. I was following paleo and went off for a day and I am now having wicked "sugar headaches". Detoxing the first time was horrible, now I am going to have to do it again. I have learned my lesson.

Hi Ladies, I just order the BFC Fast Track that comes out Sept.13th on amazon. I hope it is different from what I already have. I am looking forward to reading it. Started my twelve day count down to the beach, I am doing ok so far. Now if I can get through the rest of the day without messing up.

Imannott 08-20-2011 02:14 PM

Hi BCL216,

I was going to pre-order but I wanted to get it on the nook and I don't think he has a version for that. I was going to wait until it came out and go to Walmart or Target. I was thinking I could get it cheaper than at Amazon. But, I can't wait for it to come out.

BCL216 08-20-2011 08:44 PM

yes it does, on amazon. check it out.

So glad to have you join us. I lost the 17lbs. on BFC from late Feb.2011 to present. I have to be honest, I too like Carol bouncing between the same 5lbs. I need to really stick with the plan. When I do, I usually lose 4 to 9lbs in a week. So I will prove this to myself so I can reach my goal of 10lbs by Sept.1. The next 2 weeks I will be very on point with BFC. If I do this I can stay the course. HEY, lets do this srtickly for the next 12 days and see what happens. Are you in? I am pledging to follow the plan and post daily to let everyone know how its going. I will have a new and exciting challenge coming up Sept.1st. I think we will see more takers on this challenge.
Carol you have come a long way and I know we both take a few U-Turns, but we can refocus and recommitt. I am looking forward to being under 200lbs. I have a trip planned for the beach first week in Sept. and it has me worried. I love the beach and more over, I love the food and excitement.;)

When I went below 200 was such a big deal for me. I had been over 200 for about 8 years. It was upsetting to me because I was very close to my husband's weight, and at times I weighed a few pounds more than he did. Here's a funny story. I always left for work before my husband. One day he went down to the laundry room to get clean jeans (I had folded them the night before but didn't bring them up to put them away) He said all day he kept wondering why his jeans felt so baggy in the legs and when he came home he took them off and realized they were mine! LOL That was so embarassing for me, to have him realize that I was the same size as he was, but I did get a chuckle at the thought of my husband walking around work in my jeans! LOL

Carol, great story and I know that feeling. I am very curvy and have very round hips. I am not wide, I have a true Brazilian Butt. I would look great if it wasn't for the belly. I don't even fit in my husband's jeans, he has a flat butt. Well, what is worse is that he has lost about 20-25lbs in the last couple
months; I am heavier than him.:o Ok, now that out there, I am out the door for my walk, I think I will add a mile.;)

Imannott 08-21-2011 03:20 PM

@Carol -- very funny story. My husband always says to me "Are you wearing my Pants" when I put my dockers on.

@BCL216 I checked amazon and its only the kindle version. It won't work on my nook. Just as well I like to have hard copy in hand. I did good yesterday and today. Staying OP! I even exercised this morning -- did Pilates. Not sure if that is a good work as I didn't break a sweat but I kept at it.

BCL216 08-21-2011 04:43 PM

Imannott, I wonder what makes the fast track different than the books previous. I got in a walk(1.5 this am) I hope I can get another before dark. I have done well so far today, but making it through the evening hours are the worse for me. It sounds like you have done well today and hey any exercise is better than none. ;)

Hey ladies I have a question for you, What is the one thing that hinders your efforts staying on the plan? say for example: mine is mindless eating after say 4pm.

Imannott 08-22-2011 09:41 AM

Hi Everybody,

What keeps me from staying on plan is dinner. I find if I don't plan even in my head it is so easy for my husband to talk me into going out for dinner. And once I am at a restaurant, no matter what my head says, I can't order properly. Also, after working all day I feel bad that my kids have to wait for dinner. I'm trying to cook big on the weekends, so I can have food during the week.

That is the main thing that hinders my efforts no matter what plan I'm on...mindless eating. I am not a compulsive eater, but an impulsive eater. The thing that keeps me from stayin on the BFC plan is staying away from the carbs. I used to do it and I kept my weight off for years by limiting carbs. But I can't get my mind back into it again. I think that's because I married my husband since then and he is a big carb eater. I call him "Mr Potato Head." LOL I can limit my carbs well out in a restaurant, but cooking at home, no. He wants a lot of carbs and since I made them, I eat them. It's not doing my blood sugar any good either.

Carol
