Default The Hunt for a Healthy Easter - weight loss challenge

I'm needing to war my sights on the next challenge now, so how about targeting April 20th as our Hunt for a Healthy (low carb) Easter?

Add your accountability goals, weight goals, whatever keeps your head in the game.

I'll set my starting weight from Feb 15th but we are traveling that day so I wanted to get this already set up.

My major commitments :

- weigh in daily (I already do this)
- keep a daily food log (I've seriously resisted this)

- I'm also *thinking* about going dairy-free until Easter (except butter, and except on our vacation)

I'm hesitant to set a goal weight but I probably will come back and pick a number on Feb 15th when the Valentines challenge is finished. It's been more motivating than I expected to have a number in mind there...

I'm in as well! I had already "recommitted" to another thread on 3FC -- so this will definitely help keep me accountable to them as well. Would LOVE to be able to wear an outfit from a few years ago to church that morning! Goal -- hmm -- will get back to you on that. If I seriously set my mind to clean eating, I tend to lose several pounds ASAP -- then slow down of course. So I'll weigh in tomorrow morning and get official tomorrow. Thanks for starting this!

Weighed this morning -- have managed to pack on 3 pounds since I was last brave enough to step on the scales, so definitely needed this challenge!

Starting weight -- 193
Easter Goal -- 173

Yes, I know it's probably too optimistic -- but gonna try anyway!

My Challenge

SW : 196.6
GW : 186.6

I was really tempted to put a goal of 185 but I won't - I'm trying to be more gentle with my expectations for myself and 10 pounds is already going to be really challenging. I'm not usually a huge fan of time-based weight goals, but I was happy with the extra effort the goal gave me during the last week of the Valentine's challenge (of course I was already pretty close - what I hate is when someone sets a goal of say 15 pounds, loses 13, and then says they "failed" instead of celebrating the marvelous accomplishment of those 13 pounds).

My major commitments :

- weigh in daily (I already do this)
- keep a daily food log (I've seriously resisted this and it is hard for me to commit to, but frankly I think it's what I will need to do to move through this weight decade that has stalled me for years in the past)

- I'm also *thinking* about going dairy-free until Easter (except butter, and except on our vacation) - I'll decide this part after our vacation

I would love to join this challenge. I'm currently doing "team lean" at the Ymca with some co-workers so that is keeping me very motivated, however, it ends March 27th so it will be great to have something else to motivate me!

SW: 240.6
GW: 219.8 (high goals...but anything below 225 will make me happy).

Commitments:
-drink 64 oz of plain water everyday
-no more than 12-16 oz of diet soda a day
-excercise at least 4 times a week
-continue food journaling every day (this helps me sooo much!)

Thought I would stop in and say hey! The scale is still pissing me off and being stubborn so I probably won't do daily weigh ins until I break out of the low 240s. I am also not setting a weight goal right now since I have been yo-yoing for about a month now.

Right now I am committing to trying to fit in exercise 3-5 days a week, and watching my calories just as much as my carbs because I think that is why I am stuck.

2/15 - 242.4

I just accidentally deleted my entire post. I'm adding my Ultimate Weigh Goal just to keep my eye on it. But 145 this challenge will delight me.

Happy Saturday everyone!

Good Morning,

I failed at the V Day Challenge. Yesterday I upped my calories, out of frustration, added in bacon and down a pound this morning. My body doesn't seem to respond to 1100 calories when I exercise 90 minutes. Doesn't make sense but my body never has. I think I will try to eat in the 1200 calorie range and continue with daily exercise.

Good Morning,

I walked for 5 hours in San Franciso yesterday. I was hoping to see some scale movement today as I ended yesterday with 1198 calories. I think my thigh muscles are a bit sore which is surprising since I do heavy weighs on my legs during Pilates reformer 4-5x a week. I feel like I'm retaining fluids. Not near enough fluids yesterday. Today is an exercise rest day. Grocery shopping and going to the theatre.
