Good morning. Slept through two alarms so this is a drive by. I have great news. Scale finally moved for me but I went drastic to all protein yesterday.

Jumped from 149.6 to 148.4. That's huge for me. Eats were:
2 strips thick bacon, 2 fried eggs, 4 oz pork shoulder steak at 10:30
8 ounces ribeye at 6:00

Will eat all protein until Friday. Zach comes home late Thursday. Sue, I think you asked when he last saw me. I went to Europe for our annual vacation last fall. Weight is the same. I've been up and down 5 pounds for the last 15 months.

Sarah I did 75 days of W30 last year. Followed AIP except I drank decaf coffee because it doesnt cause me problems. I also didn't eat beef for those 75. I dropped 5 pounds doing those 75 days. I was eating some fruit and sweet potatoes so only lost 5.

Let's make this a good day.

Calee, that's great that you did 75 days of W30! Wow, I admire you!

Any recipes or food tips you can offer I'd really appreciate.

Is there a reason you didn't eat beef?

I'm reading a lot about AIP and most people do add quite a bit of carbs. I'm trying to stay close to the same but that's proving mighty difficult - my carbs have basically doubled these past few days, I'm allowing some berries but I don't want to open the door to too much fruit or pretty much any starch. I was really not hungry yesterday and ended up with a very low calorie day, but then struggled to sleep (I've read that can happen on deep ketosis) so I need to keep an eye on that...

It's a lot of restrictions I guess but the upside is that it makes food become just fuel, pure and simple, not an interesting taste sensation. That's a good thing. Plus I suspect when I am done with this experiment I won't find "regular" low carb/primal to be very restrictive at all (actually, I already have found low carb really easy to live with, it's been my main WOE since 2009). To my surprise the hardest thing to get past these last few days hasn't been the coffee, nuts or dairy - it's the SPICE I miss, I miss hot pepper, peppercorns, etc.. And I keep reading report after report of people saying their biggest trigger is nightshades. Gosh I hope that's not true for me...

Hi Ames - I like 172 but I'm not in love with it!! Lol.... We are struggling to get anywhere but here!!! Planning to take the time to enjoy the moment!!

Reporting in at 172....current pants are very loose but new pants are a bit too snug for my liking!!

NSV: True confession: I'm cheap and like a bargain!! This is time of year for $3 sweatshirts at Walmart. Last year at this time I felt successful because I could finally buy a 16W down from a 24W, last night I got a plain regular large!! Not extra large just a large. It was amazing and very very motivating!! I'm teary today because I took the time to reflect on my journey...it's not always easy but it is totally worth it. Please keep up your own good work!!!! YOU are worth it!!!

Calee... good one your down down! Yay.. soon the crooked number 7 will be showing up!

Ames.. Oh I just walk (fast tho.. about 3.5 miles an hour speed).. I just have always (since I was 6) had a hard time running.. But maybe I might Jog.. LOL as long as my Arse does not scrape the asphalt! LOL

Lulu.. oh you brought a smile and a wonderful scene in my head. Your NSV is such a PERFECT example of how far you have come and your commitment has worked (is working still). A Large... instead of a 24 a Large! That is like being on top of the mountain and looking down at single digit peoples clothes as you are heading right that way! Looking back is such a great motivator! (Just like photos) So HAPPY for you!

Lulu, so excited about your Large!!

Sarah, I blood tested sensitive to beef, eggs, oranges so added them to my off eating list on W30. The 75 days went quite quickly. I would have continued but wanted to intro foods two weeks before leaving for Europe. I ate a lot of salads, roasted veggies and japanese sweet potatoes.

Sue, I found 6 ounces this morning that I lost yesterday. Let's just keep going!

Ugh, my found 6 ounces isn't budging. Maybe it's the 4 ounces of ham that I'm eating for breakfast this week. Yesterday was 910 calories, 15 carbs, still back up to 149. It's a high quality problem to have on this weight loss journey.

Have a great day everyone!

I saw 1.7.0 on the scale when I got home last night but 172 this morning....aaaah the teaser before the real move on the scale!!! So it is just a matter of time....my mini goal is 167 for March 17th but really 160anything will be a major success!! In the mirror I noticed my body is changing again...below my navel on the right and left of my stomach the fat is starting to melt away so it kind of looks like two indents...it's weird like when my fat shelf on my butt started to melt away....so I still have a major pocket of fat above my navel and of course lots of loose skin!!! HA!! As baby girl would say..."first world problem" as if....Best wishes for an on-plan day!!!

LULU you SAW that number!!! That is awesome! Its coming for the AM weighing in (What are you doing during the night in you sleep???drinking shakes?? LOL and Love that NSV of seeing indents instead of bubble ups on your body! HO HO HO that is Mahhhhhvelous! I too remember when I had lost my butt shelf (when I started doing squats last fall) it was so nice for me to have the back of my skirt being just as long as the front and not hiked up a 12 inches shorter than the front! LOL I still marvel at the feeling of my skirt on the back of my calf and not above my knee in the back LOL

GO LULU GO!!!

Happy Friday!!! 172 again today and after 99 days...TOM....starting my countdown to menopause all over again!!....Dear Mother Nature, really?!?!?, Sincerely, Lulu NH

Best wishes for an on-plan day....guess that explains why I wanted to eat everything in site last week.......fighting another head cold...waiting to see if I feel good enough to work out...

NSV: I took baby girl to a school play last night and one of her friends pulled her aside and said...."I don't know how to tell you this...." Baby girl said..."don't worry whatever it is we can work it out.." Friend says.. "Your mom looks great!!" ...BTW I was wearing jeans on one of my $3 Walmart sweatshirts!!! It was a great NSV because 15 yo girls are tough critics!! HA!!! (Totally not the ending to the story I was expecting...)

Ames - congrats on the downdowndown....can't wait to join you!!
