Question Anyone interested in starting a 9 or 12 week challenge?

So here's my dilemma....

I was just asked to be a bridesmaid for my best friends wedding in September. I have already been trying to get back on the weight loss bandwagon but since I got this news I have even more motivation! If any of you would be interested in starting a 2-3 month challenge with me I would love it! I know it would be alot easier for me to have some others to talk about it with so maybe we can also be challenge "buddies." Let me know what you think!

That would be nice! We are nearly the same weight, I am at 255.6 today. What is your 12 week goal weight? I think mine is about 230.

I'd love to join this challenge. I also have a wedding to attend mid-September! In 12 weeks I'd like to be at 235.

So what are you guys doing to lose weight? Any specific diets? I am just calorie counting and eating mainly whole foods. I am losing weight slower now whereas I was losing about 10 pds/month before. So this would be really good for me to have as accountability!

can i play too?

i have no clue what to put as a goal, though - can i do "less"?

(although 30lbs in 12wks should be very doable)

Awesome! @mirax-i am doing a 2 week vegetarian diet basically to force myself to try new things and hopefully maintain those good habits, then back to "normal" low Carb and calorie counting. I have to wear walking boots on both legs so I am hoping not being able to walk/swim won't set me back too far. I am going to go to the gym and try to learn new upper body exercises while my lower is out if commission. What is your plan?

Tiff- That sounds great! I think a vegetarian diet is great to try out. I would love to be vegetarian but I can't give up my chicken and fish. I don't eat any other meat, though. I have been calorie counting and haven't really had to watch carbs or fat, I am trying to watch the sugar though.

Upper body exercises sound good. I am sure you can do very well without walking or swimming! Keep up the good work

I'm in too! Both of my sisters are getting married soon, one in July the other in September... it will be a busy summer! I would like to be at goal (150) by the July wedding and if that turns out to not be my maintenance weight I'll shoot for 140-145 by the September date.

My plan is to work out 5-6 days a week which includes running 15-20ish miles/week and weight training (Insanity videos). My food plan is to stick to 1500 calories a day with lots of "clean foods" and as little sugar and processed foods as possible.

Let's do this

I'm calorie counting, and that worked to lose the first 30 pounds, but I've been stuck for a bit. I think I might have to try something different, but I'm not sure I could do a veggie diet like Tiff Tiffneedschange: are you a vegetarian or just trying the diet because you needed a changeup? how hard is it? Do you eat certain amount of calories and just don't eat meat?
