Quick post, I'm late getting started on lunch.

Lost some of my weekend weight gain--hope the rest will disappear tomorrow. Good exercise yesterday and today.

Annie--sorry to hear about the ear infection and the dental problems. I've had labyrinthitis--not fun.

Gotta go--need to get lunch eaten and get back to work.

Hello! Came in to work this morning but still don't feel well; figured I'd do a half day at least and can always leave at lunch if not doing well ... stopped at ww center this morning and weighed in - down a whopping 0.4 pounds, but anything is better than a gain, I say now. Will try to hit the saturday meeting, so i can hear the topic and take some motivation from there.

Quiet thread - did I scare folks away with multiple posts while I was sick? Not contagious! ha ha

Last night I was feeling crummy and went to take a bath and thought, "I need a piece of chocolate ... ahhhh" so went into my drawer where I HIDE it from my hubby (at his request) and the whitman's 4-piece sampler box from christmas was in there. I had left one piece and went to snag it. Empty Box. WHAT the heck? I KNOW he took it because I know what I ate and I would never ever leave the box empty as that drives me bonkers. (as does a half inch of a beverage left in a bottle in the fridge, etc.) Anyway, I called him and basically called him a chocolate thief in a dramatic message - keep in mind I was crabby anyway. Lucky guy was working nights and sleeping days. Anyway, he busted out laughing when we talked and said he'd taken in weeks ago and was going to replace it and forgot. This morning he comes home with a BIG box of homemade chocolates from a chocolatier in the next town over. And vows to not touch any of them. ha ha. I'm able to portion out chocolate, but not something like fresh bread, so these shouldn't be toooo much of a temptation. We'll see.

Morning, I wish every day was like yesterday, I was at total peace with food, yay. Didn’t even think about it till I was hungry, my portions were awesome and I did not have this knawing brain thought to eat and just enjoy it and start tomorrow. This is VICTORY , yay. Now to just repeat it today and tomorrow and so on. Went to Costco and found they carry a new line of Turkey Brachwurst (don’t know how to spell that). 120 Calories and 6 grams of fat and they are soooo good! I love stuff like this but almost never eat it due to fat content which equals easy weight gain. And I am such a protein person, it is almost always what I want to eat. Hubby bought some cheddarwurst that he likes 260 calories and 22 grams of fat, gross he is usually pretty good at changing to what I am eating though. I even found a burger pattie that is 140 cals and 7 grams of fat for when you just would love a burger, sorry for going on about meat to the non meat eaters here. If there are any non meat eaters and you have some suggestions on foods high in protein please share. FL I thought you were vegan? I probably only eat beef once a week twice tops and have added a lot of spinach for iron purposes.

NP – I had to chuckle at your chocolate story! And any loss is way better then a gain any day!

Son got very ill last night and did not go to work, I can’t get sick right now and I took Monday off for a long weekend as we don’t have a stat from Feb. till easter and that is a long way to go with no long weekend. I don’t want to be sick for it.

Warm enough to walk at lunch today, yay.

We had a busy weekend. Hubby had a dr's appointment and got meds for his cold/flu/sinus stuff. He says the Nyquil works better however. We bought a new mattress, and gave the old one to his sister. We know its spring because its always raining.

Hey everyone. Sorry I haven't been posting as much lately. Just so frustrated with things around here. My ears are back to being stopped up and hard to hear with roaring in my ears again. Still having issues with my dental plate, will be going back to dentist Sat. for the crowns/bridge. Just want everything to be back to normal. I'm tired of not feeling like myself.

I've snuck in a few off-plan items lately...Girl Scout cookies, etc. I WILL stick with this, though. I really want to see the 140s this month. Don't want to maintain here as I am still in the overweight category according to BMI.

NP-Don't you just love those "never-called-in-sick-for-30-yrs." people. Hope you are feeling better. Maybe the chocolate did the trick?

Ashley-Hope you are getting the food all figured out. I sometimes sneak in leaner meats (ground turkey, etc.) and no one even notices.

FLady-Glad you were able to get out and enjoy the sunshine!!

Hi Kitteh!!

PP-A new mattress sounds divine! Enjoy!

Hope you all have a good day. I may lay down for a while when I get home, then watch my TV shows tonight. Maybe I just need more rest.

Hello, everyone.

Woot! Woot! I hit -20 this morning.

I am soooo ready to eat that dark chocolate bar I've been saving, but I'm going to hold off until Friday. I want to make sure this isn't a fluke or the scale lying to me. I'm thinking I'll melt down a few squares and drizzle it over some fresh strawberries. Yummmmm.

Exercised twice yesterday, and plan to get a second session it today (have to make up for not exercising tomorrow due to schedule issues).

It's been quiet on the board lately. I agree a new mattress sounds heavenly; and being at peace with food is wonderful. I hope everyone who's feeling under the weather gets well soon.

Hectic day today. Better eat and get back to work.

Kitteh-Congrats!! So happy for you!!

I just unsubscribed from WebMD's newsletter on my e-mail. They sent me a recipe from their "healthy" section for an ice cream that had 250 cal. and 20 grams of fat per serving. It was made with olive oil and heavy cream....WTH?? They p-ed me off and I unsubscribed. Rant over.

national- I could never have all that chocolate around, I'd eat it all. But that was so nice of your husband to do.

Ashley- I was glad to hear that you were at peace with food yesterday. It feels good doesn't it? No, I'm not vegan, but I always say it wouldn't be hard for me to be one. I eat very little meat(chicken twice a week), I use seafood as a protein source more.

Annie- thanks, it was nice. I hope your feeling better, is labyrinthitis something like vertigo? I had vertigo in my 20's, it made me sick from the constant dizziness, but i had no roaring in my ears.

Today is a cloudy & cold day, we are getting alot of rain tomorrow. There are flood warnings issued. Woke up a little sore, last night I was painting our sunroom ceiling, it is slanted & goes up kinda high at one point. Looking up and moving my arms in weird directions to paint for 3 hrs. made me stiff. Got better after I was up a while, I decided to take a break from exercise anyway. I never skip a day, this is the first time in a year, oh well. For the past week I've been feeling sluggish. Stomach issues are getting me down & I just don't have the energy I used to. I must be getting enough sodium, I have no stomach cramps. I have to change what I'm eating again so I can feel normal. I replaced some of the extra fruit i was eating & added more whole grains & veggies to my diet. It added sodium, but I feel like crap. Now I'm cutting back on whole grains, adding my fruit back & cutting back on veggies. I know this sounds like a bad decision, but I have to get rid of this stomach problem. Veggies & chicken are causing the problem, more fruit & greek yogurt for lunch made me feel so great. When i stopped eating it, I noticed the difference. I gave it a week and it failed, I'll find another way to add natural sodium. Luckily I can still eat asparagus, brussel sprouts & a small amount of carrots without any trouble. Sometimes this is overwhelming to me, figuring out what I can eat & what doesn't agree with me & am I getting all the nutrients I need. I feel better if I just don't eat sometimes.

Lost half a pound. Is this supposed to be this slow? I'm lucky if I lose the weight for summer at this point. Still, I like the number I saw
Next mini goal is 120.

Hi everyone. I am so dizzy this morning. And my ears are still congested-feeling with roaring sound. Not sure what else can be done, but if it is still this bad tomorrow, I will call the doctor.

Almost talked myself out of exercise this morning, but went ahead and did 4 miles. I wasn't too dizzy at that point. Just after I got to work, it really hit. I have a wrap in the fridge for lunch....it is a work of art! Spent so much time making it this morning, I was almost late for work.

Scale showed 151.5 this morning. Hoping to see a lower number tomorrow, but will be happy with no gain. The way I have been eating, plus steroids, had me thinking I would not be happy when I stepped on the scale. I'll see how it looks in the morning.

Fruitlady-Vertigo is one of the symptoms of the inner ear infection (labyrinthitis), along with ringing or roaring of the ears and temporary hearing loss. At least there has been no real pain involved, except for a good headache.

Hi Shu, and welcome!! Looking at your weight S/C/G, I see you have less than 10 pounds to lose. It may come off slower at your size. What plan are you following? Are you exercising? Join in, we have a great group here.

Yay, Kitteh! Great job!! Yes, savor that dark chocolate!

Came in today but still feeling exceptionally lousy. I don't remember a cold making me this miserable in the past 10 years or so. Having trouble breathing and hope that clears up soon. At least the weekend is close by and I can continue recuperating then! Sorry for the whine.

Annie - I hope you're back to 100% here soon - what did they say about the ears, will it take a course of the antibiotics to have it cleared up or how long? Good luck with the dental plate, too - you're struggling along with things that you can't really put them out of your mind with those type of things. They'll be bugging you all day long.

gray, chilly rainy day. Supposed to snow later, but I think just flurries, nothing accumulating at ALL anymore, i think. I HOPE!

Not sure if we get his daughter for Fri night and Saturday... he goes back to work on sunday at 5 a.m., so he'd have to take her then. I am not really into having "company" while feeling so crummy, so we'll see if it's brought up.

NP-You snuck in while I was posting!! No, antibiotics won't help this infection......it is viral. Ugh. Like I said above, not sure what else can be done.

Hope the weekend finds you feeling better. Just rest and keep up the fluids.

Wow, lots of crummy illnesses going around, hope all are feeling better soon! It is really crummy to not be ourselves. Sending hugs to all!

FL – One would think with all the healthy stuff you eat it would help you feel good sorry for your tummy woes. I have heard of greek yogurt lately how does it differ from other yogurts. Most yogurt is so high in sugar I don’t buy it, high sugua items even if they are healthy like that can be triggers for me even when I am doing good. Although I like source its sugar is 5 grams.

Had a good day food wise yesterday although not the same peace as the day before. Struggled to stay on plan at dinner but did it yay! Was hungry when I went to bed was gonna have few mouthfuls of cereal but no milk so went to bed hungry, woke up several times finally went and had a piece of whole grain toast and felt better. Bought some strawberries on the way to work (love them) and a banana and will eat them before I go work out at lunch. While we were at the store this morning the bakery had accidently marked a very large black forest cake at 15 cents. So hubby and I bought it :P We have bible study tonight so I figured it would be a good cheap snack and company for dinner tomorrow so is more than enough for both evenings. I am not a big fan of it so it will be easy not to eat but really does anyone need that much cake? Just could not pass up the 15 cent deal! Should have been $15. Had it been a good buttercream frosted cake I would have been in trouble an not bought it as that is my favorite.
Only -11 today can’t tell you what a relief that is. Moral is down for so many specially my daughter with small kids and can’t take them outside to the park. Hope everyone has a good day!
