Good day, all! Wonderfully uncharacteristically warm here, so was able to sleep with the windows up last night for a major change. For one night. Will cool off again tonight. See that in the week forecast we'll be back into the 40s for highs again. Oh well, enjoy today, right?

We went for another good walk last night - though it followed a big fight, so there was about three sentences said on the whole walk. I hold a grudge and planned on holding it all day today, too, but then thought, wth and just called him to clear the air a while ago. Think we got things resolved. His daughter is back again this weekend (and for the next few), so it would be uncomfortable to have her with our moods last night. Still not over it, but he always asks, "are we okay?" and i have to say, yes, because in the grand scheme, we are. Little things can't become big things.

Sorry for the boring, downer post. I'm just still a bit cranky. We're aiming to walk tonight and then do a longer one tomorrow - walk to the park and get our annual pass, and walk inside for a while and then back. Figure about 6-7 miles, so not a major one, but a good bit of exercise. Unless it rains.

Hello, all.

Crazy busy yesterday, didn't have time to post. Down a pound this morning, but still not back to exercising. I'm feeling better today, so I will work on getting some exercise in this weekend. My jeans were feeling loose, so I got out a smaller pair--back to a bit too snug, but it's a reminder to me. Watch those calories, get that exercise in!

Annie-Yeah on the new capris.

Ashley--sorry to hear about your woes with the gub'ment.

Have a great weekend everyone.

Im feeling better today. I got on the TM for 30 min of steady state and feel pretty good. I had to get the box fan out and propped it against the wall to blow directly on me. whew, that felt good.

Phoenix, Welcome glad to have you join us.

Annie, good job on the size 10's

Np, good job on all the walks.

Didn't get to go hiking today, hubby is sick. He has a head cold & is shaky & weak. My daughter has a cold too, I'm the only one that didn't get it. I'm trying to get plenty of sleep & eat all good food, hopefully i won't catch it. I took a walk myself for 40min. It was too nice out to stay in, for the next week it's gonna be chilly. I got my front yard work done while it's nice out. I'm tierd now, but still have to go to the market. I'm so hungry for junk, I guess all that fresh air & 3 hrs. of work did it. I'm gonna try really hard not to buy any junk!

Hubby's Dad has an additonal surgery yesterday on the veins in his neck, but then had another stroke today while still at the hospital. We don't think its very bad but are on our way to see him and the rest of the family.

Oh, no, PP - sounds like he's really having a rough go of it here. Our thoughts are with you. Hang in there.

We went for a 7-8 mile hike today - such a gorgeous day. I didn't want to spend it inside at all. Slowly adding in the miles.

Grilling chicken/pineapple for dinner. ahhh ... I'm getting teased with these temps. Back to low 40s this week. Enjoy today, right?!

Went for a 41min. walk in the fresh air, hubby is feeling better so he went along. I felt so good today, I wanted to keep walking. Ate way too much yesterday( 4300 cal.), so today I'm not hungry. I skipped lunch, still not hungry. I'll have to force something down for dinner, i hate that. I am up 2lbs. but did alot of yard work & walking yesterday. Today after my walk, had to go shopping at two different stores, so that's more walking. Hopefully the weight will come off quick!

Spent the day beginning the cat-proofing of my flower beds with fiance. We'll finish tomorrow. Lots of good exercise but my upper back/neck is sore. Then we went to eat at Olive Garden. I ate so much that I thought I was going to literally throw up. I think it was the bread sticks. I only ate two and a small bite of another, but I've pretty much cut out bread with meals and it really filled me up. I probably only ate 1/3 of my pasta....couldn't even eat all of the shrimp in it. I don't feel so miserable now. I'll remember that next time there is bread involved.

Still having the ear trouble, dizzy for alot of the day today.

PP-Hope you have good news from visiting your father.

Got out this noontime and we did a trail walk - waiting for hubby's daughter to get ready (she got in the shower when we were putting on our coats to head out - not sure why she showered before sweating on the walk), I took the dog out for a one-mile walk then headed back home and we did another 4 or so ...

Made pancakes for breakfast this morning, along with broiled bananas (split lengthwise with a bit of brown sugar on them) ... very good. Tonight will be angel hair pasta al aglio e olio. I'm just going to experiment with trying to make it myself and see how it comes out. I have sundried tomatoes to put in there, too, for something different.

Trying to get myself more organized for the workday mornings with getting stuff ready in the evenings. Stupidly, I get hubby's lunch ready and skip getting MINE done. So tonight I'm prepping both and my walking clothes and hope to walk at lunch. I'll join you, Ashley!

Happy Sunday, all!

Nice sunny day here, we went to the St. Patrick's Day parade. The weather was perfect, for once I wasn't sitting there freezing my butt off. Even got a little sunburn on my face. My calories were good today, went for a 36min. walk before we went to the parade. Got some more walking in when we went, we had to park about 4 blocks away, so an extra mile all together. Craving junk food again today, but there isn't any here, thankfully.

Good morning, and welcome to Monday.

Ate well Saturday, but went a little overboard on Sunday. Not too bad, but then I stayed up too late and so didn't get up early for exercise this morning. I need to get my exercise act together. Weight is down a bit more. I want to lose another eight pounds in the next five weeks--I want to start my new job feeling trim.

PP--glad to hear FIL is feeling better.

Annie--I hope the ear is doing better.

Have a good day everyone, Monday notwithstanding.

Kitteh - You are doing FANTASTIC!! You seem to have this whole thing figured out and are making such great progress! Good goal!

I guess my next goal might be (MIGHT BE? how wishy washy is that?) for two weeks ... I'd like to fit into a smaller pair of jeans by then - right now they're too tight ... but I'm hitting the women's Final Four and want to be able to wear those jeans to the games and sit for hours and not feel bound up tight. I think if I can keep up the serious walking, I might be okay. Tried them on this weekend and while they zip/button, they're obscenely tight.

Warm morning here - 63 - strange, in a way. Gray and supposed to rain, though. Plan on walking at lunch - strolling the canal in my work clothes/flats - and then walking with the dog tonight.

Anyone else have goals they're working toward in the next few weeks?

Just a quickie today. NP: My goal for the next few weeks is just to beat this ear infection and my spinal issues. I have felt so good the last year and I don't want to feel this way any longer. It's scary and I don't like it one bit. Going back to see the doctor this afternoon. I bet he is going to want me to go to an ENT. Whatever it takes, I'll be willing to get it done.

Annie- hope your feeling better soon, you'll be back to feeling great in no time. Don't let it get you down!

It's a gloomy, rainy day here in Pa. I didn't want to walk in the rain, so I went on the bike for 25min. My weight is coming down, but not fast enough. I was feeling discouraged & went over my calorie limit already today. I'll skip lunch & just eat 3oz. of Tilapia for dinner. I'll end up at 1730 if I behave myself for the rest of the day.
