Well, ate more than half of my order, but still saved a good bit of the lunch for tomorrow, so that's a small success I could have finished it. A few years ago I seemed to drop a bit of weight quickly by stopping eating when I was no longer hungry, but not really full. Trying to get that mentality again.

Hope the second half of the work day zips along. Will take the dog for a walk tonight if it's not raining. Stupid dog ate my purse last night when we didn't take her with us to the store. She doesn't get to go on rides often - not like it's a routine - AND she'd just snuck the rest of our two cats' dinners, so I didn't feed her extra - she had kibble. Chewed part of my traveling (smaller) purse right up as it was hanging over the top of the dining room chairback. Trashed it. GRR. I was MAD and then the rest of the night all she did was try to buddy up to me. I'd say, don't come to me - get your attention from someone else.

Annie - let us know how you like the dress when it comes!! I was thinking of ordering something for my folks' anniversary this summer but the way I'm going now, ech. I have a few things that would look nice already for that - things that are dressy and I don't get to wear - that would be GREAT to finally fit into! ha ha... But I like your way of thinking!!

penguin -hope you're able to stave that cold off!! Scary with the branch but good thing no damage -whew!

NP - i'm sorry your dog ate your purse - kind of like my dog ate my homework...When my cat Indy was teething.. he chewed up a heel of one of my favorite stillettos... bad kitty... (it was an excuse to buy a new pair of shoes...)

Annie - do let us know about the dress.

NP and Archychick - you guys aren't the only ones that want to figure out a way to move to Italy and live.... i LOVE that country! Rome Florence and Positano - still need to see Milan, Venice and the northern country.

Another type-by posting. Busy, and have a short lunch.

Down another half pound, so now I'm back where I was five days ago! Good exercise this morning, lots of energy. I hope to lose that pesky pound by Monday, so I can have my chocolate bar.

Annie--sorry to hear about the funk. You'll pull through, and think how strong you are being about staying on track.

NP--That'll teach you to leave goggie behind.

Archychick--welcome.

PPP--feel better soon.

That's it for now, must get going.

Can I drop off our dog with you, penguin, for the romp in the park? And forget to pick her up? ha!

Annie - hope you're able to get in some good times with your fiance this weekend - and maybe some of the frustration will alleviate. Good luck at the dentist - know that has to be hanging over your head, as well!

We're to have rain all afternoon/evening/night/all day tomorrow. SHOULD get some spring cleaning started. At least some spring organizing and clearing out!

I did 30min on the TM and 30min of LB from a new DVD, most of which turned out to be sitting or laying down. whew.

NP, we like to make the joke that we will drop April off at the park, come back and pick her up later. I need to get into my sewing/yarn room and do something with the piles of stuff.

Ok, today I hit my Bellyfit class and then skipped my connecting bus for the 1/2 hr walk home. Feeling great and happy to have all of you to come home to!

ange: Were in China were you? I would love to see more. We did a quick week in Hong Kong in 2009 on our way to Thailand and I got hooked.

national: Oh, were you born in Naples? I met and had an argument about film with Lina Wertmueler in '88. I loved Sofia Loren in her Napoliatano films. I am laughing about Naples. My ex-fiance was from there and although it is beautiful, I spent my entire night (couldn't stay at his parents' home as his mother hated me) under the bed of my hotel room being serenaded by gunfire from the bar below. lol Nice places you visited! Well, by the time I left after 5 years I was done with it. I did work in a restaurant as a waitress and in the kitchen, so there and working along side my friends' moms in their kitchens I did learn to cook good food healthfully. What's your fave Italian dish?

I am more interested in SE Asia or Hong Kong now (that's where my hubby and I are having the same conversation that you and yours are!). Really, it is possible, just need to figure out what your niche is. I'm getting an MA in TESOL (like an ESL teacher) and going commando with it in addition to my tiny tax practice. We hope to go back in a couple of years once my husband has a job again.

Annie: *hugs Sending you happy vibes ------------->

patch: Thanks in re: the avatar. I figured the goddess of compassion is a good one! Sending healthy vibes to you -------------->

Hi all!

Woke up with stomach problems, not the same as I had from the sodium issue. I ate processed junk food yesterday( it never agrees with me), now I'm paying dearly. I took 6 Multi symptom Rolaids, now it's better. Gained 2 lbs , didn't stay on plan cause I ate anything I thought would feel good in my stomach. Ended up at 2266 calories, not good. Ate some Couscous w/ broccoli & carrots in it & a clementine for dinner, it was good. I made it two days ago, so I could just heat it up for dinner with some lean protein. I'm gonna make more so I have it on hand for another day. Still rode the bike for 31min. I'm sure I'll see a weight gain again tomorrow, but I had to take care of by stomach. Back on plan tomorrow!

hi archy - i was a few hours drive away from a place called Jinan in Shandong provence (about an hour flight south of Beijing). I work in mining though, and i was at an alumina plant. It's all pretty industrial round there so i couldn't honestly recommend anyone go!! Having said that i love my job for the very reason that i end up going to places that people would never normally visit!

Blehhhh - just noticed it's absolutely chucking it down outside, and i've got 3 loads of washing out there.......

NP - I so get the eating till not hungry but not full mentality. I feel so good when I do that. I have had such a bad week. I was on a really good roll a short time ago and I don't really know what derails me so much. Have to get back at it.

Not feeling to well tonight. Fluish kinda hope i am not getting something. Ate some roasted potatoes I put garlic in and it has left a bad taste in my mouth which is gross. I am so glad it is the weekend i feels like forever since last Saturday.
Not sure who commented here about my sons debit but he got his card back and is just using it everywhere again. Hope he learned somthing but I dunno. I still transfer money to my account for him so he has gas money before payday and some money to buy groceries. Whatever works I guess and seeing as he is living with me it ensures he doesn't have to borrow money for gas befoe his next pay.
I did not get the other job in my department and quite frankly i am relieved. I was so stressed the day before I found out I was hoping I did not get it. I am happy where I am but i just hope it goes permanent as it is not currently as our department is undergoing a review.
Hopig you all have a good weekend!

Hi all, hope your having a great weekend!

Feeling better today, going to the farmer's market for fruit & veggies. The past 3 days have been so hard for me with junk food. I even ate some today, so I'm going to try my best not to buy any baked goods at the market. All the crap food is gone here, so I won't be tempted anymore. My weight went down 3 ounces, I don't know why. I've been eating junk after my breakfast for 3 days straight. Rode the bike for 30min. Hoping to get back on plan starting now!

Did my TM interval. I can tell I'm getting better, I don't pant as much during the peaks and recoveries, LOL.

Its been raining all day again, but the temps have dropped, so its a little chilly out there.

Help! Argh - i'm JUST wanting to nosh on this and that today. Didn't get up and go to ww this morning - last night hubby REALLY REALLY wanted pizza for dinner. This is the first time EVER, I swear. I was like, Are you trying to derail me because I"m weighing in tomorrow? He's like HUH? I don't think so but we drove downtown to a favorite one that has a GREAT salad. Figured a big salad and a slice won't kill me. It was mobbed and it was after 9 p.m. by then, so left and decided to look for something else on the way home - ended up at a place we both had spotted and wanted to try. One thing - there are NO hole in the wall italian joints here - 101 mexican food ones, but nothing but chain italian spots for the most part. Anyway, we stopped and were the only ones in there hmmmm... ends up it was delish pizza - we got a medium pizza margherita. I went with two slices as it was pretty darned thin - yay. I weighed at home when I finally rolled out of bed and was up a solid pound, so ... figured that it wasn't a bad idea to wait until tomorrow to hit the meeting. But now I'm wanting this and that and the other thing. Just poured a second cup of hot tea and hopefully that'll take the edge off me wanting to graze. Had four pieces of candy corn (found a bag that I'd hidden and unfortunately it tastes just fine - i know, toss it) ... half of an apple leftover from my breakfast, 10 baked chips after my lunch and a toasted whole wheat round with jam. Still within the 300 cal area, so not too crazy, but I keep looking through th ekitchen for something else.

Trying to keep it low sodium and low volume tonight ... I'll just have to take the bullet at the meeting anyway tomorrow and see what it registers... ugh.

Archychick - wasn't born in naples but lived there as had military dad - we lived there and in Spain ... then when I came back to the US at 16 it was a shock! Electric everything (doors, elevators all over, etc.) ha ha... I LOVED your line about the gunfire from the bar below. I'm not surprised!! Crazy, hotheaded, loud, but oh, so friendly folks.

Our washer just overflowed and I didn't notice it - overflowed with (so far) four big basins on the bottom of the shop vac full of water - still a lot more to sop up but my back was aching and said I'd take a break. Hubby just left for work. He got me all set but I sent him off to take a nap - all of 25 minutes, before he needed to leave to work tonight. What a colossal mess. Now i need to use the washer to wash all the rugs that got messed up!!

Hope I don't pop on here too much this evening... trying to stay busy. Reading a good book, so hopefully that'll keep my hands from straying into pantry items.

Good day today. Hit bellydance class for an hour and then popped on over to buy a couple of well-needed blouses to round out my wardrobe. Not spending alot of $, just enough to replace worn things. In a month I expect to be shopping in my closet and this time pitching my fat clothes as I fit into those that are slimmer. I figure that I'm not going to want to be naked, so I had better stay thin. lol

Going out to a birthday party at a Mexican restaurant. I have planned my day around this and figure on going over my daily calories by a couple hundred, so that I don't derail too far. Not worried about the food, just the Margarita I plan to have (might as well not even eat as that will be most of my daily calories! lol). Will have fun...consciously.

national: I hope I'm not too late! Don't graze! When I feel like that, tea just doesn't do it for me. However, a nice hot cup of broth will. Beef broth usually staves off the 'fat wanting' pangs for me.

Well, after sipping a bit of tea and reading more in my book, and sucking up more water from the soaked carpet with the shop vac, I baked up a small potato and munched on that before heading to Target and the market ... Got a lot of oddball stuff that we needed and now need to finish unpacking - my least favorite part HOPING that I don't derail with the Hummus Chips (archer farms) that i bought - I LOVE LOVE LOVE them. Usually take a serving and count it (I write that like it's a novel idea) , but I think about eating that snack a lot ... sheesh - ha!

Was raining earlier and now snowing. UGH - it's March, for goodness sake. Ange, can you channel me some of your HEAT? I'm so over the winter this year. Need to go sniff my Coppertone and Hawaiin Tropic tonight. Get me in "summer mode" ... oh well, will light a nice fire anyway ...

Got some REALLY great deals at the market, though. Now to figure out how to creatively stock the freezer with these deals
