Eleny, just noticed that you are from Arizona. (not much gets past me!) I live on the western side of Colorado and we are experiencing monsoon, too. So very humid. We all have "swamp coolers" here, which work great when it is dry, but not so good when the humidity starts. So, lots of crankiness going on. So, Susan, I am so unmotivated to exercise!!! But, I've been trying to get out early. I have to make a better effort next week!

Kris, I have to get used to seeing your ticker. Yes, it is kg, not lbs. Kind of freaks me out when I see it, thinking that you don't have much to lose! ha! Glad to hear that things are starting out good for you.

Just wondering where everyone else is? Still busy with summer? Kim, Jo, Laura? I know Cammie is on vacation. Hope everyone is doing ok!

It's been a tough couple of weeks. My MIL is sick, she's had a series of small strokes, so we're not sure what will happen. She's only 68, but hasn't taken care of herself. She's thin, but her eating habits are awful and her exercise is non-existent. We have to wait to see what will happen with her, but we have a lot of decisions to make in the near future. It makes me realize that I need to take better care of myself. I don't want my kids to have to take care of me at 68. I want to be healthy and active for a long time. So, my problem is weight... I have to lose it.... so I need to remember to stay focused. So far, I haven't had any health issues from my weight, but I don't want to push my luck.

Besides... I want to wear cuter clothes!! ha! Vanity is good, too.

Here, we are snuggled between the Great Lakes. It's nice in the winter because we don't usually freeze solid but ... in summer, humidity is a given.

Susan~ Yeah there where you are is much more humid. What temps do you get?

Well I weighed in again this morning and it still reads 190! That makes me very happy! It has taken 7 months to get to here, that is why I started WW, to try and lose faster. :-)

Would anyone be against starting a daily chat with a different name? I think that a lot look at this as a 47 yr olds thread, I know I did at first. just a thought.

Good job, Eleny on 190. How exciting. I was pleased this morning to be back down 1.5kg/3pounds from last weeks jump-although I suspected the jump was water weight not fat gain. It does take more work to follow this healthy way of living, it certainly does feel better.

Eleny, congrats on 190!
I think it would be a good idea too, to start a chat thread. What do the rest of you think?
There's another chat thread listed under in 40 somethings another odd topic line. Maybe if we could combine the two groups?

As long as someone tells me where we're going ... I'll be there! Don't want to lose track of you guys.
And where else can I complain about how punk I've felt for a few days and then I had some spotting this morning for the first time since April! Explains eveything ... and you gals understand!

How fun for you Susan! NOT!!
I'm going to check with the other thread and see if they want to combine. If so, I'll try to start a new thread.

Diane where is the other thread at?

Just give me directions. Don't want to lose any of the regulars.

Where is Kim and Jo? Haven't seen them post in a while?

Clydegirl: It is in the 40 somethings, titled something like "43 and starting the 3 day/hour diet". Can't remember for sure. I haven't started chat thread yet because I wanted to see what you guys thought first. I think what I would do is go back through this thread and send PM's to those who are MIA right now.

I'm not sure where everyone is right now. Maybe just a busy summer. I really miss hearing from all! I hope that with school starting, maybe more will come back to the thread. I know that I've been slacking big time on the weight loss side of things... maybe they are too. But I hope that isn't keeping anyone away from posting. If anyone understands the difficulty of all of this, it would be us!

Ok, I just posted a new chat thread. I would give you a link, but I can't figure out how to do that. It is just called "40-something chat thread". Very creative, don't you think?

I'm at work right now, so I'm going to wait until I go home, but I'm going to go back through the thread and make sure that those who haven't posted lately get a PM about it.

I found the new thread. Good idea!
I'm OK Eleny. That's all there was, just that bit of spotting. Even my legs aren't aching any more.
