Well I knocked out a big chunk of my remaining exercise goal yesterday. We had a golf out for work. No, I am definitely NOT a golfer but I tried my best anyway. Out of the 4.5 hours we were on the course, I am counting 2 hours as exercise. Did lots of walking and ball shagging! ;)

GROUP TOTAL 13,307 + 120 = 13,427

Wow, I've been logging lots of work hours this week (the term is almost done) and exercise has suffered a bit. But I did 20 mins of weight lifting tonight followed by a lot of heavy housecleaning, of which I'm counting less than a 3rd (20 min)... for a total of 40 minutes.

group total ~ 13,427 + 40 = 13,467 minutes
I think our previous high was almost 16,000 minutes -- are we going to top it it this month???

I did thirty minutes of walking today.

Something's going on with my body - don't know if it was the week off, lack of sleep or what, but yesterday I could barely finish my 30 minutes on the elliptical and couldn't even think about continuing on to the treadmill - I was so tired. Strange . . . I guess I will try and give myself some rest and TLC this weekend and hopefully things will be back to normal next week. My total is now 1172.

The group total is now 13,497 + 30 = 13,527

I didn't set a minute goal this month, but I'm up to about 700, OK, 695 minutes for the month. Not too shabby considering I only really started a week ago. Today's 90 + 13,527 =

Well, no exercise for yesterday because of the Literacy conference ALL day and I was too tired to do any in the evening. I have to put in Friday's though, which was 40 mins on the treadmill and 20 mins of laps of the oval with the kids.

I had to make a little adjustment to my personal goal because I worked out that I didn't add my first 20 min session of aerobics with the kids a few weeks back. It may only be 20 mins, but I don't want to miss it.

I'm not going to make my goal, but I still think I'm doing pretty well seeing as I followed doctor's orders and reduced my exercise times.

Personal Goal... 460 - 80 = 380 mins left of May's goal of 1800

Group Total... 13,767 + 60 = 13,827

In addition to the usual barn activity (which I don't count) I did stalls for an hour. It's not especially aerobic, but it 's lots of arm exercise which I'll probably be feeling tomorrow, so I'm going to count 20 minutes of it. Ya know, it's the sort of thing I didn't used to be able to do for more than a few minutes at a time, and even then with pain, before I started this journey.

20 + 13, 827 = 13,847

Saturday I didn't exercise at all. All I did was maybe lift up some heavy blinds we got and put them into our trunk, lol. I hope to exercise some more before May ends.

Didn't get the usual hour walk in with hubby as it started to rain just as we headed off, so I did 60 mins on the treadmill instead. Not as fast as I would usually do, but still walked 8km (4.8 miles), which isn't too bad.

Personal Goal... 380 - 60 = 320 mins left of May's goal of 1800

Group Total... 13,847 + 60 = 13,907

I've done about 2 hours of yard from yesterday and this morning. I am going to count 30 minutes of it as exercise because there were points where I was breathing hard, sweating, and I could feel my muscles really working. That means I made my goal for May. :carrot:

Last night I did 75 minutes of walking, strength training and some good stretching. That brings my total to 1267. I will try to hit my monthly goal of 1300 today.

We've been out of town, eating a bit more than usual, on vacation, but got a good bit of walking in! 84 min of "aerobic" minutes total... Then today I did a treadmill session and back/ab exercises... another 60 min

I'll try to get a June thread started soon!

It was a FREEZING and wet day yesterday, so I didn't walk to work, but I did do 20 mins of aerobics with the kids, plus 40 mins on the treadmill. I am looking forward to the wound on my back being totally healed so that I can jog again. I find it easier to jog at 10km/h (6mph) or more intervals, than to walk at 9km/h (5.4mph) intervals. The doctor put some tape over the wound after she took the stitches out, to keep it from pulling as it is in a muscle. She said that the tape would just come off itself and then I would be fine to get back into jogging and using weights. Well, so far the tape looks like it is stuck forever! I have no idea how long it will take to come off.

Personal Goal... 320 - 60 = 260 mins left of May's goal of 1800

Group Total... 14,346 + 60 = 14,406

Well, so much for hitting goal yesterday. I only did my required 10 minutes when we got home after the movies. I meant to do something before we went out, but I didn't. So my total is now 1277 and I will definitely hit my goal today.

Been outside most of the day, sweating, carrying loads back and forth, and whatnot, but I'm only going to count about 30 minutes of that. Then, did 20 mins water aerobics and such in the pool.

Hi wyllenn,

I saw your post over on the newbies thread and I'd like to sign up for June. Where do we go to do that? I'm still trying to learn my way around here. :)

Exercise is my biggest downfall, so I'll take any help I can to motivate me to move my butt! This is a great place to start. I'm going to start small for June (it's my first try and all). I figure 10 minutes a day won't scare me away, I should be able to handle that! So, put me down for 300 minutes then.

I spent 45 minutes on the treadmill, hill level 5, 2.7 mph to start and then 2.5 halfway through. That brings my total to 1322.

The group total is now 15,236 + 45 = 15,281

Tuesday I did 40 mins on the treadmill and walked to and from school, which is 20 mins altogether. Today, Wednesday, I did 30 mins on the exercise bike and 30 mins of laps of the oval with the kids. It was our Lapathon day, so I got some extra time in. I walked 20 laps (only short ones for the younger grades of 200 metres) which came to 4km (2.4miles). It was a cool, but very clear afternoon, and that made for a lovely walk for everyone.

Personal Goal... 260 - 120 = 140 mins left of May's goal of 1800.

I didn't make my goal, but I am pretty pleased to be this close, especially seeing as I had to cut RIGHT back on doctor's orders. I have to think carefully about what to set for June's goal.

Group Total... 15,281 + 120 = 15,401

We are certainly catching up on our highest total now. I have finished my month, but hopefully there will be lots of you posting for your last day.:carrot:

I did 45 minutes today!! 40 cardio (10 eliptical, 30 tread) and then 5 minutes of crunches!! ouch!

Wow, we're ending strong (and maybe not done yet?) I got in 30 minutes and honestly, it was because it was the last day of the month and I wanted to make my goal! I'm a whole 6 minutes over!!!

Walked my dog for 30 minutes. I am at 650 and my goal was 600. I am also increased my exercise 225 minutes over my April amount! :carrot: I am very happy with myself.

Tonight at the gym I did 30 minutes on the elliptical and 30 on the treadmill. That finalizes my May total at 1382, 82 minutes above last months total of 1300.

The group total is now 15,776 + 60 = 15,836.

I think we just might make it past our highest month ever of March's 15,917 - only 82 minutes to beat the record. Hmmmm . . . what is up with the number 82 for me tonight?

I got a new bike over the weekend and tonight was our first chance to check it out! We biked around the neighborhood -- I don't know for how long, but am only counting 10 minutes... still... only 72 to top March's record now...

Well, been out and about but

30 mins walking on Sun
30 mins swimming Monday
65 mins - water aerobics and river walking on Tues
40 mins swimming - Wednesday
165 mins + 816 = 981

About 40 mins short of my goal, but since I worked through a week of exercise, that's not so bad.

Group total 15876 + 165 = 16,041

Wow!
