Well, I have not posted since my post here on Monday but I have been working out! I did skip my weight traning this week - Tuesday, depression; Thursday I woke up with a BAD shoulder and there was no way I was going to put myself through weight training. So, I stretched a lot and did my bike instead. My totals: WED - 60 bike THURSDAY - 35 bike SAT - 70 bike SAT - 90 dance class That's 225 minutes that I have not posted yet. Group Total = 5847 + 225 = 6072 Tomorrow morning I am biking in the morning, then I'm going hiking in the afternoon. I'm thrilled. |
Today my husband and me took my son to the Mall and walked our feet off! We walked 120 minutes at a slow pace...besides doing some shopping. My feet are sore because I wore sandals.
So our new total is:Group Total = 6072 + 120 = 6192!!!! |
Walked the dog 45 minutes this morning.

Did the American Cancer Society's Relay for Life starting around 2 something this morning. According to my pedometer, I had 101 minutes of aerobic activity (at least 10 min at a time) -- though 84 minutes of that was continuous!
We are cruising! And welcome back extrinsic rapture! So, group total ~ 6237 + 101 = 6338 minutes! |

Did 15 minutes on Friday (cardio). Today, I did 10 mins of the buns & thighs workout...I was DRENCHED...lol. Then, I did 10 minutes of the arms & shoulders. You wouldn't think 20 minutes would be THAT hard...but the dvd I've got really kicks your butt! :) hehe. If it's not raining, I'd like to go walking later, but we'll just have to see how the weather is when the time comes. I've started to do facial exercises, too...while I'm watching TV or sitting here at the computer, so that maybe it'll help the double chin go down quicker. Not going to count those minutes, cuz that's not strenuous...hehe.

Well, the weather isn't too pleasant today, and I'm not keen on walking in the rain, so I don't think I'll be walking to and from school, or walking laps with the kids. So I can probably post my mins for today already, as that could be it for the day. I'm resting from afternoon exercising, (as per doctor's orders) except for the walk home from work.
Sunday - 60 min walk with hubby. Poor guy! I truly didn't plan on walking that fast, but I am just so used to it now that I don't realise when I am speeding up. He fell behind after a while and said he couldn't keep up the pace, so I slowed down. Near the end he seemed to be limping a little and said his hip was sore. Seeing as we had pretty much finished an hour already, we just 'strolled' for the last 5 or 10 mins. I felt SO bad. I obviously pushed him too much, but I didn't mean to. Monday - 30 mins on treadmill (13 mins walking at 4.8mph and 17 mins jogging at between 5.4mph and 6.3mph) Personal Goal... 930 - 90 = 840 mins left of May's goal of 1800 Group Total... 6433 + 90 = 6523 :carrot: The weekend is looking pretty good so far, as far as movin' and groovin' goes.:carrot: Take care,:hug: Zelma |
Well, I did 56 minutes on the bike today. Was going to go hiking but my knee was sore from dance class yesterday and thought better not to push myself.
Group Total: 6523 + 56 = 6579 If I am to make my goal: 1440 minutes of cardio, I need to do 360 minutes per week. As we are finishing the second week in May, I should have done 720 minutes already. At 726 minutes done so far, I'm right on target. Gotta love budgeting minutes! ROFL My weight training, on the other hand, is suffering. I should have done 120 minutes and so far I've done only 60. My goal for the next two weeks is to do 3 sessions per week instead of two, so that I can catch up. Wish me luck! |
Went for a walk, but only for 10 minutes, as it started to RAIN on us! Came back here, and did another 10 mins of Buns &Thighs! Whew!

Evening Ladies...Well for Mother's Day we went to the pool! YEAH!! All though I was there 2 1/2 hours..playing with my kids and chasing my 5 yr old nephew around..I am only counting the time my hubby took my nephew to the little kids pool and I did 15 min of laps in the pool and 15 cardio workout. I LOVE THE POOL!! Kepps ya cool and I have such a range of motion.

I felt bad about not walking to and from school, so I did 20 mins of aerobics with the kids this morning for Daily Fitness. We had a ball!!! I put on some 60s songs and we were just "movin' and groovin'" to our hearts' content. I even got the suggestion that we do this every time it rains. My poor student teacher is sure I am trying to kill her I think. One of our deputy principals came to join us for a little while, but we were a little too 'active' for her.
I won't be exercising tomorrow because I had a little bit of surgery on my back today and have 8 stitches (details in main thread), and it shouldn't be 'jiggled' for a couple of days. Well my baby is sick (again! Eek!) so I didnt get to exercise . . . until tonight. I am so proud I cant tell you. I was covered in snot, tired from all the baby comforting...but he went to sleep. Hubby went to sleep and I did my aerobics. 30 minutes :) You all make me look lazy doing all you do, but I am just starting. I am way too busy to do exercise on the weekends so I am trying to do 30 minutes a day weekdays. so:

On Friday I just got in my minimum 10 minutes inbetween all the packing and prepping. For the trip, I am using a pedometer. I haven’t been tracking time, but I am going to assume that a mile takes me 25 minutes. So here is what I have walked so far:
Saturday - 2.28 miles Sunday - 3.58 miles Monday - 3.13 miles So total for all that including Friday is 235 minutes, which brings my total to 706. The group total is now 6959 + 235 = 7194 |
monday 55 minutes walking, 5 minutes jog, 20 minutes night walk = 80 minutes

Following doctor's orders, to not exercise for a couple of days due to the stitches, I only walked to and from school yesterday. So that's 20 mins.
I'm not going to change my original goal, because I'd like to see how close I get to it, even though I'm not expecting to meet it this month. There has been a good reason for me not exercising as much and I am happy that I am following 'orders'. I am VERY impressed with how much some of you are working out. I wonder if any of you have kept a record to see how much you've improved. I've got a table in Word, where I have the days of the month and each activity, so I can keep track. I can clearly see that my time has decreased drastically, but as long as I keep entering SOMETHING on a regular basis I am happy with myself. Work has been insane, so I haven't gotten in all the exercise that I wanted, but still:

Wow, we're cruising! I've been so busy at work and exercise is suffering, but I did get to the gym tonight for weight training -- 25 min. I'm a little behind for the month, but I'm not giving up yet.
We've got a lot of new people here and I'm finding it's sometimes hard to see the minutes people are adding to the total. When you add to the group minutes, it would be great if you could show the old minutes, what you're adding and the new minutes. Helps us to catch each others errors, among other things. Thanks! I had to recalculate my excercise minutes for may completely because i added wrong. I MET my May Excercise goal and am up 93 minutes more!!!! YEA ME. I am so proud of sticking to it and we've still got 13 more days left in May!!!!!
