I'm in! My goal is to loose 40 lbs by Christmas. Since I have been tracking my weight daily since 8/4/13 I will just plug in my numbers.

I'm down 3.4 lbs since the start but if would have been more had I not gained some back in the last day or so.
I've been having low abdominal pain for days now so I had to go visit my dr today. I have to wait on the results of blood work and x-ray but my urine was fine so it's not my bladder or kidneys. The pain has lessened some today so hopefully what ever it is is clearing up some. I enjoy reading the posts here and I thought I'd tell you all about my pets too.. I have 5 dogs and 2 cats LOL Inside we have: 2 Chihuahuas and 1 chihuahua mini pin mix- The mix is 11 years old..and of the 2 chihuahuas, one is 6 years old and was recently diagnosed (on Thursday)with an enlarged heart, fluid on her lungs and a severe heart murmur. She's doing well on her meds so hopefully we will have her for years to come. The other one will turn 5 in September and she's our Son's dog but had to stay with us when he moved away last year. We also have our 2 female cats inside. Both were strays that we got as kittens, one was left behind by neighbors and the other was born to a wild mommy.. They both are beautiful!! My hubby claims one I claim the other LOL And outside are the boys. A 6 year old blue Pit that was diagnosed this year with hemangiosarcoma (cancer) and we had to have 2 tumors removed so far but no more have grown so we are hoping he's cancer free. We also have an English bulldog. He was left behind by the same neighbors when they moved.. left tied to a tree!! All of our babies are beautiful and very loved. Along with our pets we also feed and enjoy the oodles of wild birds, squirrels and chipmunks that visit our property daily. :) ...Start... I have a jack Russel about 5 years old, super calm lap dog thats my litlle Scooter, 9 month old hyper German shepherd, Daisy. Both were rescues.

FINALLY, some movement on the scale... I was at 322.5 for a couple of weeks so it seems like I am just standing still.... I am hopefull for a little more movement since I was there for what seems like forever!!! :D

I never thought I was a morning person but apparently I am compared to everyone I know lol .. but when I was working full time it was so much harder fitting everything and everyone in. Im sure it will get lots easier as it becomes a regular thing. Tuscany - Thats a nice steady loss for you this week, good on you. Hope you have had a good week? Did you have anything interesting happen this week? Only Believe - WELL DONE!! I think its a great loss for you this week, I had actually lost a little more than my weigh in day when I sneaked a peek a couple of days earlier but ate a little more on the weekend (hence why I was so surprised at the loss) ... it'll get back off eventually so now I dont think about the weight that comes and goes .. just happy with whatever goes lol. Loved reading about your animals, sounds like a menagerie, and Im sure your babies love you to bits too. So envious for your wildlife .. esp squirrels, we dont have them in NZ, but I saw my first wild one when I was visiting my family in Canada in 2004 .. so stunning the access to such a wide range of wildlife! Cheeriloos - So your dogs are Scooter & Daisy?? So cute .. funny about Scooter .. that is my hunnys nickname lol .. he used to work for the railways (repairing the engines) and after he had his hips replaced for the majority of the time he would have to scoot around on a stool with wheels .. hence scooter :) Most people just call him Scoot now :) Pam - YAY!! Happy dancing for you .. see .. told you they would move again when they were ready :) Good to see you not giving up or allowing it to hold you back on your journey :) Well done :) Was thinking when I read Heathers post about something that makes me feel a little guilty .. TIME .. I dont know about you but its that whole "everything to everyone" mentality that I think does women (and some men) a disservice. When I was working full time the days never seemed long enough .. by the time I fit in everything I had to do, I usually had no time for people. So that increased my guilt that I was letting people down or leaving them out of my life, so I would work harder trying to get everything done so I could finish something quicker to be able to spend time with family/friends .. then I would feel guilty about rushing the job ... vicious circle .. and one that encouraged the chocolate binges too many times. So while things are a little tighter now I am only working as a casual on call person, I am a lot more at peace, less stressed and have more time available to fit in whatever I choose for my day ... whether its recording a new song .. or going for a coffee with my daughter and grandkids. Money may make the world go round, but it doesnt make the heart or soul thrive and grow, so as long as I have enough for our needs .. with the odd treat (which to me at the moment is time) ... then its a good thing. So what do YOU feel guilt about?? Is it the naughty treat you had? Missed opportunities?? How do you deal with it?? What have you done to change it into something positive? Oh .. dont forget to post your measurements too!! |
