I am so proud of all the ones who are losing weight!! Its such a great feeling.
I had also wondered about how the holidays would go. I am planning on eating just a few special meals during the season. Of course thankgiving dinner but I am really going to watch my portions.I am also going to try and control myself during christmas. We have fingerfoods on christmas eve..and then 2 big meals on christmas day..so for now my plan is to plan ahead and eat a little bit of my favorites at each meal. Not a full meal each place. For Me planning ahead is the key!!
hugs to all

Hey all...

I'm frustrated with my body these days. My TOM has been very irregular since the start of my weight loss and now I don't know if this is the one I thought I missed this month or is it late or is this the next month's TOM? I feel like a truck hit me lol....don't we all feel that way when it is during that time? lol...anyhow, I just get so frustrated with the irregular schedule as I don't know if I'm coming or going.

Other than that and oversleeping today, things are good. Doing my toning exercise today and that I can't wait for.

oh oh oh! I weighed myself on my regular day (even though I just started that TOM yesterday) and I'm still down two pounds from 5 days ago (27 lbs in 27 days!) so I suspect there was an even larger drop. I'll find out in a week

Anne, so nice to hear from you! Sounds like you are one busy lady. The smoked turkey sounds yummy and I bet the roast will turn out just as well. Good luck on all your tests and also congrats on approaching the second 100 lbs mark. You definitely need a great reward for all the hard work you've done.

Debi, I sure hope they can relieve your pain. It would be so scary to go to the dentist knowing what happened to your sil. It would have me thinking twice about it too. I need to go to the dentist too, but I have the same fears as you. I'm not all that much into pain either. Yes, weddings can be so stressful and intimidating at times. You want to make sure you do everything the right way and make sure everyone has a good time and the bride and groom get what they want. Just take some time for yourself too, your the mother of the bride and you need to be pampered as well. (after reading your latest post) Sorry they couldn't do much for you right now and that sucks about the colon troubles. Hopefully the meds will remedy all that soon and you can get back to normal. It sounds like you need a hug so here ya go

Julia, it's so hard when the hours slow down for the hubbys. Mine is the same. People aren't even buying beads right now either, so money is tight. How come no kids to watch? My friend that has a daycare, alot of the children she watchs are low income and the parents get government assistance to help pay for the daycare which helps because then it's pretty steady coming in. Maybe check into that.
Have fun at the pumpkin patch! I bet it would be tons of fun with all the kids running around checking out the pumpkins. Take lots of pics!!

Toni, have fun with Annie. I hope to go meet her next year when the snow is gone and we can make it thru the pass. Enjoy your retreat.

Firedust, I feel your pain.

Annie, yes, you're right. I can do this. It's another new day to get myself going. Have fun meeting up with Toni.

Jen YAY for you on sticking with the C25K. I tried it the other night and almost fell off of the treadmill because I ramped up the speed to fast. I'll give it another try though. It would be wonderful to be able to run again.

bigmomma, wow! Thats great on the 3.4 lbs gone!! Keep up the great work.

cfmama, on the 25 lbs gone!

As for me, I haven't been doing much of anything. My husbands snoring is just too much and I can't get any sleep. I'm averaging about 4 to 5 hours a night, night after night. I usually end up going to the other bedroom and freezing because the heater doesn't work in there too well, and then I start to thinking about things and just give up and get up. He's at the doc right now seeing if there is something that can be done. I told him to tell the doc if he can't help him, I'll be in next week for sleeping pills. HA!! Water is good, exercise, not, and food is okie dokie, but not where I want to be.
well, better get a move on
Debbie

Afternoon all,

Julia: Your pictures are beautiful! You look so lovely.

Debi: Sorry that your tooth is infected. I hope the antibiotics help a lot.

Carol: I will try like crazy to remember to take my camera. lol.

Jeniansmom: Thanks for the nice compliments. Great job staying on track.

Momma: Woo hoo to another -3.4 pounds gone! Way to go.

CF: I am so happy for you with all your days on track. You are rockin it girl.

Jacquie: Hugs to you.

Debbie: I hope that the Dr. can help your hubby with snoring thereby helping you. Hugs. A good nights sleep will make the whole world seem like a much better place.

I just got back from Costco. I needed some boneless, skinless chicken breasts and DH needed some creamer for his coffee. I also bought the doggies a box of Milk Bones. lol.

I am going to take it easy today I think. I feel like I have a flu bug or something that I am fighting off.

Blessings all,
Annie

Hi guys,

Well, vacation is over, but the binging doesn't seem to be. Argh.

Vacation...it was "ok". DH got sick (flu-like...yuk) and once he felt better, I got it. So that was a drag. I got stung by a bee. We got locked out of our hotel room for a few hours (while DH was sick). We ate no local food since we were sick. We finally felt a little better once it was time for me to go to the conference. We did try to sneak in some fun, although it would have been way more fun not being sick. And I realized...I may truly enjoy being away from work, but I don't really like to be away from home.

I ate very poorly on vacation, and it has continued since vacation as well. I am back up to 336 (from 327). Very disappointed in myself. I feel like I won't hit the "no longer morbidly obese" mark (311) by the end of the year. My bday is late in January, and I would love a 299 for my bday as a gift. But, it won't happen eating like crap and not exercising. There is a big halloween party Saturday night, and I feel like I am going to do poorly. I really need to try some damage control, and kick it up Sunday.

I know we cannot speak about politics on this website, so I guess all I will say is that I find politics discouraging. Be honest. Be forthright. Believe we will be ok. Why is that so hard? Argh.

I guess that's it from me. I feel disengaged. Food was easy, now it's not. Time to open a can of whoop a$$.

Take care and be well,
Angie

Angie - nice to see you - glad you are home! I am such a homebody too.

My trainer did a full body workout with us tonight - I think tomorrow I may be immobile - wow.

Exercise is good, food is good, water is good. It's chilly tonight and DH is out of town so there may be a coupla furbabies keeping me warm.

Move your bodies, drink your water and SMILE.

Hugs to all,
Carol

Debbie - Ugh! My Boyfriend (well, perhaps now FORMER boyfriend) has a big snoring problem - whenever we are together I end up on the couch. He has sleep apnea so also kicks! I feel your pain!

Dogpal - hope you are feeling better and don't get the bug!

Realist - welcome back from you vacation. I am sure you will be able to get back on track soon. It can be very hard to get back on track after a brief lapse, but I am sure you will!

I missed catching up with everyone yesterday so now I am a little lost. I did get good news about the car – the wicked smell of gasoline was just from a broken clamp. 55 dollars later and it’s as good as new! I am SO happy. Plus the scale is down to 344 today, so a 4 pound loss for this week which is awesome! TOM usually always throws me off track, but I stuck with it! Good luck to everyone with their weigh-ins.

Morning ladies...

Sorry I have been MIA. Things have been a bit crazy around here. Since my son now has a job, that is one more schedule we have to keep up with.

Been trying to get into the Halloween spirit! It is one of my fav holidays...but not feeling it this year. Maybe cause the kids are older now. (sigh)

Tuesday I go see a GYNO for my irregualr..horrible periods. We will see what he says. I know the regular dr said I might be able to do the oblation..but not sure about that. Has anyone here had that done???

On tuesday I also see the lady for a consult for weightloss through my dr office. I hope its not too expensive..but then isnt everything?

You ladies have a great day..and smile...It's FRIDAY!!!!!!!!!!!

azcyn - I need to do this as well. I know though that with our bodies changing as they are that the TOM tends to be a bit irregular with the weigh loss process.

Sluggish morning, wasn't able to sleep much last night, but still a good morning

hugs to all

Morning all,

Angie: Hugs. Welcome back. Sorry your feeling blue right now. Hang in there sweetie.

Carol: Hope those furbabies kept you snuggly warm.

Firedust: I am feeling much better today. I did end up taking it easy yesterday and it seemed to help. Congrats on -4 more! I'm so glad that your car wasn't as expensive as you first thought.

My weigh in was today and I am the same 232 pounds. So, Can't change the ticker.

I need to go back to work because I have been working through a staffing service and Netflix offered me a permanent part time position so I have to take back the filled out forms that she asked me to do. lol.

Blessings all,
Annie

Hi I hope you don't mind if I join in as I am not in the 300lb plus category any more although up until 18 months ago I was when I decided enough was enough.

I will tell you a bit about myself I am a 44 year old lady when did I get that old who comes from the UK. So forgive me if I have to ask what certain words are or abbreviations. Though I have picked up quite a bit over the months I have been on the site as people are so kind Up until 9 years ago I was a psychiatric staff nurse on a forensic ward ( this was a locked unit whom looked after men and women who had committed serious crimes and where found to be mentally ill ) then in 1999 my life turned upside down when I was dx with MS. For me it was not the dx that upset me the most but having to give up my beloved nursing. I had decided that I wanted long ago that is my career and did not want any children but only to care for others. Though somebody upstairs decided my path in life was a different one.

Fast forward 8 years and I eventually had this moment in my life when I though if I didn't do something I was going to end up in a wheelchair. My mobility was ebbing away from fast and the possibility of a wheelchair was great. Then watching a television programme about a hospital who take people who are overweight and help them on the correct path of health eating and exercise. Though one gentleman to go to hospital had to be cut from his home as the doors where too small for him and he couldn't support his body weight. Oh no that could be me in a few years time if I did not stop what I was doing to myself.

So 18 months ago I started exercising and healthy eating. So here I am today some 122lbs lighter. My mobility has improved vastly but I am wobbly at times on my legs. I am so glad that I decided to turn my life around pity I did not do it earlier but I was too busy winning gold medals at sticking my head in the sand and pretending I was this thin 150lb goddess My DH looks after me and helps me with anything I need doing or I need assistance with. He has given up so much for me and without him the dx of MS would have been so much more of a blow. So that is me in a nutshell all be it a big one

So I am looking forward to getting to know you all a little better over the coming weeks and months.
