Amy8888 - I bloat when I'm sick. I've found that any time my muscles are sore due to exercise or illness, that I will "gain" weight.

Beach - When I got under 200, my weight immediately went haywire and starting bouncing everywhere. It took 2 weeks before I was confident that my weight would stay under 200. Now I'm "stuck" at 190; anytime I'm ready to break into a new decade, my body rebels

I'm trying to encourage my kiddos to eat healthier. It's hard to do when they eat so much earlier than me and DH - it's simpler to just make something quick. I've found that marinating chicken breasts and freezing them makes it easy to make quick baked "chicken strips" for them. Of course now they're complaining about chicken all the time. Doesn't help that the only food I've found that they all universally like is blueberries - I've been having some Willy Wonka-ish nightmares about them all blowing up like blueberries

So many are so close! Good luck all.

Oh, for the love of Pete!! I think I may have finally had my "whoosh". Today, we got 185.6.

Of course, I had the SAME number a month ago...before I decided to stick and hold at 187-188.

Grr...I'll just keep swimming over here...

I'm so close to the 170's, I can taste it....181 this morning. Of course, I've been at/around 183 for about a month now. Let's see if I can hold the downward (albeit slow) trend.

185 would be a big victory for me, I havent been 185 in about 7 years, if I can get back there, I know I can get to any weight I want to be.

Kuchick, I think that I have noticed a trend of my weight being higher after a weight training day. Weird that you would mention that. I work out in the early morning (1-3 ish) and then weight myself as soon as I get up. (noon-ish) The days I did weights (esp legs) the scale seems to hate me. I wonder if science will back that up?

OMG! You guys are making incredible progress!! YAY!!

My scale wobbled this morning on 188 - then came to its senses. LOL! Still, it's been a while since I have seen those numbers!

I am down another 3 this week. YIPPEE!!! Not sure why, but I'll take it. It just kept dropping by .5lb each day for the last few. Every morning I thought, "Well, it will rebound tomorrow but it was nice to see the number today." Nope, it went lower. I am puzzled. I am fitting into more old clothes, though, so it's not just my scale.

I went to a wedding this past Saturday and had a lot of trouble finding something to wear. None of my old dresses fit anymore. I ended up wearing a skirt and shirt, but it was a nice problem to have!

Almost there! I saw 185 Friday morning , 185 Saturday morning , 186 today . Too much gardening over the weekend has made my muscles sore today. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for tomorrow though!

Beach - congratulations on the loss and fitting into smaller clothes!

Melo - Yet again - sore muscles=weight gain....

Congratulations MortonPixie!

Yeah, Kuchick!!

I seem to have this thread slide. And I'm so close! LOL! Well, today I'm not...but according to my ticker I was once!

I was bored earlier so I ran through a two page calculation of what my BMR should be given my current exercise. Um....5500 calories! It said to subtract 500 calories from that to lose weight. Seriously? I hate to see what I'd look like if I indulged in 5000 calories a day! I'm not getting very far on 1200!
