mmm. good snacks. i think for me its a toss up between a yogurt parfait and a lager (or more than one). i drink so infrequently that i don't really care about drinking lower cal beers.. just give me what i like. i approach this whole weight loss as a lifetime change, and i'm not going to change to not drink it, so i willingly accept it - i don't even care nor want to know how many cals are in a nice pint of guiness.

I am not making much progress!! I have been at 198.4 for over a week now. I've been riding on the fact that I'd rather sit on this side of 200 than the other, but it's starting to get old!

I've been waffling 191/192 the last 2 days...wow, this is lower than I ever dreamed I'd get!

For some reason, I jumped on the scale this afternoon, and spastic scale said 194.5! That's the lowest I've seen, but I know that it will jump back up tomorrow since my scale likes to torture me But I know it won't be long before I see it again!

my scale teased me with 193 (omg, haven't seen that in a long time). now that i'm thinking about it, could've been the dehydration for two beers the night before (that means drink more, right?) other days before and after its been 194. crazy how just seeing that smaller number motivates. i'm down 15 total and no one has said a word, making me think it's not noticable.. but i can see the change. i ventured into the closet to try on some old clothes bc i noticed my jeans, even after being freshly washed, are falling down. it also isn't helping that the belt has no more smaller holes to go into. i was pleasantly suprised with some items, others i have to work harder to get into. you guys been dipping into the stash to see if anything old can be new again?

Wow, we're almost the exact same size - you're my body twin, but 5 yrs younger My 18W jeans all got so baggy that I quit wearing them. I can wear a 16 in some brands now, but haven't bought any since it's almost spring and I can switch into some of my closet shopping clothes then. The only smaller jeans I have are pre-vanity sized, so I'm still wearing misses 18 in my old jeans. I haven't had anyone notice that I've lost yet either. I figure that considering it's winter, and I'm bundled up a lot, that nobody will notice for awhile. Even worse, when spring rolls around and I shed the extra clothing layers, everyone will just assume I look smaller because I'm not bundled up anymore.

Some people have noticed that I am carrying myself differently - I'm more confident and not as stressed-out. I just say I'm exercising more and leave it at that. Maybe I'll closet shop today. We're finally supposed to get up to 50 degrees here this weekend, I'll have to see if any of my old spring clothes fit again.

I just saw this thread in "New Posts" and realized I would like to join in! For the first time since I dropped out of Weight Watchers a couple years ago I'm headed down to 185. I'm hoping to officially have lost 30 pounds (since re-joining WW) as of tonight's weigh-in! My scale at home tells me I'm about 193. Funny how I cried about being this weight a few points in my life, and now I'm feeling pretty good about it!

Anyway, that puts me very close to 185. This was my weight after I had my first baby, and I stayed there until I got pregnant again 4 months later. So in a sense 185 is my pre-pregnancy weight, and I love it as a mini-goal!

I am stuck at the moment. Actually, I'm not stuck...I'm gaining! And it makes NO sense!

Which only means I'm due for a whoosh, right?! I'm trying to get to 185.

Don't get discouraged...people who see you every day don't seem to notice. When I saw people I hadn't seen in over a year, one of them didn't recognize me...

Eliana - try not to worry. You have PCOS don't you? I do too, and I will have completely unexplainable gains even when I'm doing everything right. It's not a "real" gain, and you'll lose it quickly (I've done it overnight before). I think I have weird hormone swings that make me retain water even when it's not TOM. I know how frustrating it is - just hang in there!

Yes, I hate PCOS! Do you really think that's it? When my cycle got back to normal I guess I thought I was fixed. That and the first 30 lbs came off so easily. I thought I was using PCOS as an excuse.

Amy8888 - I'm not an insane fan type person, so I forgive you. I've had to squash my automatic gag reflex when I see a powercat now because my kids' school mascot is the Wildcats and they use the powercat also. Every time I have to say "Go Wildcats", I die a little inside...just kidding. My SIL is a KSU fan, and we haven't disowned her yet.
