aleksandra- That is such a great accomplishment. Keep it up

Samantha Daisy-No I haven't tried it but keep us posted on the results you get

I went and worked out today after two days off. Needed a mini break. Right before though, I ended up going to the mall with my mom so look around. I saw swimsuits had been put out at macy's and tried on a bikini....with a skirt but still...so i'm going to post my before shot on this board. And this shot is my modivation to get toned up and finish losing this weight

And I finally tried on a size 12 pair of jeans today and they fit PERFECTLY. *dances* One size away from my goal size

Congratulation on the size 12 jeans! I am trying to get down to a size 6 from a size 12-10 (depending on the store). Your weight loss is truly inspiring!

Kudos on posting a bikini picture! You are a brave brave lady but you make me want to follow suit. I have to go to the mall tomorrow so maybe I will see if any of the stores have their bikini's out yet and try one on at least then I will have an idea of how far I have to go.

Lost 3.1 lbs this week...yay!!!

Am finding my way back to exercising regularly only wish I could get my eating on board. Cooking for 1 is not inspiring it's so much easier to eat out especially after a long, busy, & draining 12 hr shift. Any ideas and tips are greatly appreciated.

People keep telling me make food as if I'm feeding many and freeze single portions so you don't have to think as much. When I was actually doing real cooking for myself I would just eat the same thing over and over again making slight variations everyday

Drank a ton of water and green tea yesterday and I think it helped me lose a little water weight. Nothing like seeing the scale drop to keep you motivated!!

Kimmyskelter, where in Jamaica do you live? I'm heading to a resort in Negril. You'll have to keep me updated on the weather!

Wow, whatta weekend. I went with a friend to visit her sister and the three of us dipped down into the states to go shopping. I'm going to Cuba in March and I wanted to hit up some American dollar stores in NY and buy a bunch of medicine, sunglasses, toothbrushes, soap, and deodorant to give away in Cuba to the locals since they have a hard time buying those things.

So... Neither of these ladies is health-focused. In fact, both are somewhat big girls, and they spent our time in the states buying junk food that they don't sell in Canada. When we went out for dinner, they ordered a huge plate of bacon cheese fries and steaks. We went to McDonalds for breakfast, and a Mexican food place the next day.

I have never exercised my will power more intensely than this weekend. I got chili and veg and potatoes instead of steak... I got a yogurt parfait instead of a sausage mcmuffin. I twice told them I wasn't hungry when I was desperate to join in on an eating-fest. That being said, I also ate some fries and some plain nachos. I had a cookie, and regular 7Up with my alcohol cause there was no diet...

I also agreed to go for an 8:30 am run this morning though with her older sister. It was a "learn to run" that she's just started, and I found it very easy, but it was calories out! I couldnt believe however that immediately afterwards, her and her friend took me to McDonalds. I was so confused by the contrast between such a healthy activity with such an unhealthy reward... And when I ordered the yogurt parfait, I got eye-rolling and "ugh, healthy..." comments from them.

Anyhow, I'm proud of myself for making a myriad of both good and bad choices, instead of just letting myself go crazy, and being lazy when the opportunity to workout was presented. Knowing that I'm being weighed in for the Toronto Weight Loss challenge on Tuesday is fairly instrumental in helping me say "No"...

Interested to see how I fared on the scale this weekend. Will weigh in tomorrow am when I haven't just had tonnes of liquid and see where I stand vs Friday's 171.8....

PS, Baker... Hot!!

i do my cooking this way. I usually cook a "basis" for 4 people and then i can make variatons on it. for example: I made a vegetable "basis" with mushrooms last week. I had risotto once, spaghetti with sauce once, baked potatoes once (no from the basis, tho ), used a frozen vegetable soup and when i had time to cok on friday i made stew for 2 days. so i ate homemade stuff all week and cooked only once

132.5, which is up 1.5 from last week. I don't know what is going on. I held steady at 131 alllll week (which was really irritating in and of itself), but then I randomly had this jump up 1.5 since yesterday. And I ran 6 miles and ate great! Waaaaah. Sorry to be so whiney, this is just so frustrating!

Kimmyskelter: There's a link to your PMs all the way up at the top on the right under where it says welcome. That should take you to it, unless it's different for new members.

6 miles? How are your muscles feeling? At all sore? Sounds to me like water retention from sore muscles-- 1.5 overnight is definitely not FAT gain. Probably water and or pre-TOM bloat if you're at the right time of the month.

I'd drink lots of water, stick to plan, and not stress at all. Numbers are finicky-- especially when you weigh daily. Half the time, minor weight fluctuations probably have more to do with bloating or dehydration than genuine fat loss.

maybe you have your pop-ups blocked (i have that). you just have to click on your private message link on the right top of the page.
if you have any difficulties doing so, just write down your weight and i'll fill it in for you!

thanks for the support girls, by the way

Due to recent drama I am temporarily suspending new members to 3FC (those will low post counts) joining the challenge. A new member came into the challenge and complained and when she didn't get her own way sabotaged the spreadsheet. I'm playing it safe for the time being in case she joins the forum again with a new username and tries to do the same thing.

Hang tight for a few weeks when the dust has settled, contribute to the thread chat and I will start inviting new members into the challenge.

Sure I'll just wait for an invite. But I just realized I am in the 20-somethings group. I'm 30 but desperately holding on to 29. Does that count? LOL.
