Hello!

I'm Lianna, and I just broke into the 150s (again) and am moving on over from the 160s thread. My ticker and stuff say 162 (I update those on Mondays), but I've been at 159 for three days in a row, so I'm calling it.

I'm mostly a calorie counter, and my first weight goal is to get down to 149. My lowest weight in the past couple years was 142 (which was AWESOME), and I'd like to surpass that at some point this year.

Gosh, I love these threads - the support is always really great. I'm so glad to be here!!! :D

151.5 lbs :carrot: Still dehydrated, but hopefully that will pass soon. I also had a pretty decent jog yesterday. I've definitely lost some stamina this last month due to long hours or slacking off, but I was able to remember why I enjoyed it so much.

Nadya Good luck! And yeah, I get it. We just had a cold snap and it can be discouraging.
rainydays  Patience is hard, but that's a great attitude to have, and I'm going to try to emulate it.
SparkleBE Good luck :D

158.6 today....slowly but surely. Headed to the beach for the next few days....I will try to behave!!

Nadya 03-31-2012 10:54 AM

Weighed in at ~156.8! The scale kinda jumped around between it and 157 so I just say 157 instead. I'm glad it held, I was worried there would be a spike since I accidentally dropped 3 pounds in one week and still don't know how. =/

LiannaKole 03-31-2012 11:54 AM

Say 157.4 today!!! I'm so excited! Now, I won't be shocked (maybe wee bit disappointed) to see an uptick in weight tomorrow, 'cause that's how my body rolls now.

But it's a new low weight pretty much, and that's awesome!

It looks like everyone else is going down, too! Congrats, all!

torito 03-31-2012 11:57 AM

everyone seems to be doing awesome! Keep up the good work
After a extremely slow week last week, I've had a great one this week seeing 147.9 this morning! The lowest I've ever been in my adult life. yay!

I finally made it intothe 140s! The scale has been showing between 149.4 and 149.6 for the past few days. I'm excited to be within 10 lbs of my goal! :)

151 today :carrot: Sooo close to 150, I need to keep being patient, but I don't wanna :p

RebaRamBam Way to go!

Congrats, it looks like everybody has been doing amazing lately!!!!

I've been at 151.9 for a few days. I'm really hoping to break into the 140's soooon. I know that being in the 140s feels so different, mentally at least, so I can't wait. Hopefully it'll happen sometime next week.

LiannaKole 04-02-2012 01:09 AM

Bah. I knew it. My weight bounced back up. It cycles and crap, but hey, the overall trend is down, so yay!

Okay, here's a question for anyone who has advice: how the heck do I eat on plan on a three week road trip? Half is on the road, half is in hotels, etc. VERY limited refrigeration and food prep abilities.

I eat a lot of fruits and veggies, and those are hard to keep fresh on trips like that.

philana 04-02-2012 05:37 AM

Lianna: that must be so hard! I think you just have to set a few groundrules for yourself. Moderation is key. So if you see no way of getting in the healthy foods you want just try and be moderate on the not so healthy options. Go for meat nstead of carbs. Google yourself silly for the best options at different fastfood places.

If you could bring a cooling bag thing you could bring some stringcheese. It barely goes bad out of the fridge so would be fine in a cool storage place. You can bring as much walnuts as you can carry. Cucumber stays pretty well when placed in a shady place. Red bell peppers are yummy and can be stored. Theres canned hummus you could use as a dip. Canned tuna, crackers and lowfat mayo for tuna crackers. Cashews. Raisins. Oats and some milk you buy in a gasstation. If you can find a supermarket every 3 to 4 days you could stock up on these things.

I think if you plan it well you can save lot's of money from eating out less and save calories by eating your own food. Obviously it might take a lot of fun out of the trip if oyu have to worry about what you can and can't eat but maybe just give yourself one meal a day to have whatever you want and stick to what you come up with the rest of the time?

As I type this I realise it might be a cultural thing, us Dutch people are known to be 'frugal' and when families here go around europe in their cars with the kids in the backseat most of the food they eat will be from their own stock and maybe every now and then from a roadside restraurant. When I was in Texas as I was amazed by how 'normal' it is to eat out a lot. It's really not a regular thing for people here.

Anyhow. I got carried away with this post. LOL. Hope you have fun!

I am at 141, which is better dan 142 where I was a few days ago but when when when am I gonna hit 140 again like I did a while back? ANNOYING!

LiannaKole 04-02-2012 10:12 AM

philana: Thanks! Those are some good tips. And I will actually not be eating out much, which helps some. It DOES save a ton of money, which is the point of it. :)

My main issue is that there will be a LOT of crappy snacks and meal options among all the people who are coming (we're kind of pooling our food - makes it way easier to travel with). And I'll need healthy options quickly available because there'll be a lot of times when I'm tired and want to just reach for the easiest option. And carrots sticks get old after a while. But you gave me some good starting points. I've been Googling the heck out of this thing, too, but not many people have plans for 3 weeks. Lol!

flashfacts 04-04-2012 09:33 AM

OMG, this morning I had a nice surprise on the scale! 150 lbs!!! I've now officially lost 100 lbs and hit my original goal weight :D I almost can't believe it. I still want to lose a least 5 more pounds, but wow. Haha, I've been dancing around all morning. Tonight when I have some time I plan on making a mini (?) goal post with pictures.

LiannaKole philana had some great suggestions. I'd probably buy a bag of apples and some other fruit that keeps well and aren't messy like pears and banana. I also love Larabars, and they make a great treat (unfortunately they can be kinda pricey.) Have fun on your trip.
