I still want to lose a least 5 more pounds, but wow. Haha, I've been dancing around all morning. Tonight when I have some time I plan on making a mini (?) goal post with pictures.
.

CONGRATS!! Obviously there's nothing mini about reaching that goal! Haha. How amazing. I am so happy for you! :D

On a less happy note, I am getting frustrated. Maybe I shouldn't weigh myself for a few days. But I know I'll be super tempted anyhow so nothing to be done about that. My weight is really not moving. And it's just water or something, must be. But it's odd. I have low sodium intake because I eat almost no processed foods. The only 2 waterretention reasons can be TOM (almost over) or strength training - but my reasoning is that eventually there can't be extra waterweight anymore, so the scale should go down right? hihi.

So yeh. 141.5. Again. Still. Again. After a week and a half on plan perfectly and 3,5 weeks of exercising and eating good most of the time.

philana What's the weather like there? We just started hitting spring for real here, and I think it caused me to get dehydrated. My lips got a bit chapped and my skin is unusually dry. It's come off by now, but a few weeks ago I know I was holding on to some extra water despite keeping my fluid level pretty consistent. It might be the strength training as well though, but I don't have much experience with it. This must be frustrating.

philana 04-04-2012 10:22 AM

flashfacts: hmm, we are going into spring here too, but I finally found good body-lotion so I have no clue if I might be dehydrated. I'm also addicted to lipbalm so no clue there either. My skin is just weird year through. lol. Thanks for thinking on it with me, I'll just have to be patient. If it's still like this at the end of the month I'll start looking into changing things.

LiannaKole 04-04-2012 03:36 PM

My weight finally budged again. I'm 158.4 today. I never used to bounce up and down when I lost - but it's been doing that for months now. Well, as long as the pattern is downward.

For a non-weight-related topic, I'm trying to decide if I want to go vegan. Well, I DO want to go vegan, but I'm feeling like it's a hassle. I'm gathering lots of info, though. My issue is that I hate how animals are treated - if they were treated awesome, I'd eat them, no problem. I'm thinking about trying it gradually.

Anyone here a vegan or was a vegan at any point?

-------

philana: Yep, it can definitely be frustrating. In the past when my weight stalled, I'd do a day with just 2 big, mostly healthy meals. For some reason that jogged the scale again. But hang in there! It has to go down some time if you're on a deficit.

flashfacts: Thanks for the travel tips! And omg, CONGRATS on reaching your goal!!! That's SO EXCITING! I got kinda giddy just reading about it! - I cannot wait until I reach my goal. And 100 lbs is completely amazing!

philana 04-04-2012 04:20 PM

Lianna: I've been vegetarian a gazillion times. Never vegan. I really love cheese. Hihi.Is it really a matter of principle for your? Because otherwise I see no reason to go completely vegan. For me it's a matter of eating sustainable and animal 'friendly' foods. So I look at eco-labels and such.

Just burned 700 calories in the gym. And am enjoying eating a bit more.

LiannaKole 04-04-2012 05:13 PM

philana: Sounds like a good workout! I actually really love my gym time. <3

Considering veganism isn't really a principle thing for me. I'm just horrified at how the animals are treated (even the fish!), and it bothers my conscience. If all the animals were taken care of and slaughtered humanely, I'd have no problem (i.e. I don't think it's wrong to eat animals - I think it's wrong to abuse them). I'm not even against using them for, like, medical testing (but I don't like it when the testing centers abuse them).

Where I live, there are few, if any, sustainable/friendly animal foods. And the ones that are here are hugely expensive. My food budget is low (college student), so I can't afford it. Thus, veganism would be cheaper.

I'm thinking about trying out a few changes slowly. Like not replacing my eggs, yogurt, cheese, etc. once I run out, and maybe only eating animal products when I'm eating out with people.

Flashfacts: CONGRATS!! 100 pounds is beyond amazing! :D I'm like you in that I think I would like to lose about 5 lbs after I reach my goal weight. We'll see though. Congrats again!!

Philana: that's really frustrating to be stuck like that. You're doing awesome things though so I'm sure the scale will catch up eventually!

Liannakole: my weight has been doing crazy things recently. I used to be extremely consistent but ever since I hit a healthy bmi things have changed. I miss the old days for sure!

As for me.. my "official" Tuesday weigh in was 148.4 so I'm officially in the 140s now! :) and then today... I weighed 147.0! I was shocked! I'm probably at one of my low points and will be up again some tomorrow but it was still exciting because I was expecting to have a really small loss this week since I just had a large 3 pound woosh this past week. I'm very excited to be so close to goal but then what will I do?? Haha

Em123 04-04-2012 07:13 PM

Just wanted to check in by saying I'm 3lb away from my first mini-goal of reaching 150lb!! Eek. :D Weighed in at 153lb this morning! Really exciting, hope I can maintain it or lose more for next week's weigh-in. :D

Flashfacts I cannot believe you've lose 100lb, that is freaking epic and awesome. Congratulations for losing so much!

I hope everyone is doing well I haven't posted here in a while!

LiannaKole 04-05-2012 07:07 PM

Em123: CONGRATS! :D I love hitting mini goals! It's awesome! Yay you!

---
My weight inched down a little again today. That's always nice. I expect it's bounce back up, but hey.

I cannot WAIT to hit 149 (again)! I felt so much more comfortable there (and even more so at a lower weight). Right now I feel...meh.

So, I've been eating mostly vegan the past couple of days just to give it a trial run. Not bad so far. It's not a huge deviation from how I ate before, though. I don't think I'll go totally vegan (like when I eat out I might get meat/etc., or eat a can of tuna every once in a while).

rainydays 04-06-2012 12:25 AM

torito, congrats on your lowest adult weight! So exciting!
Sparkle, thanks! You're doing so well! And you're right about these darn 150s, they're annoying :/
flash, congrats again on 100 pounds! It's such an amazing feeling, huh?
Gold, where are you? We've got a party to throw! ;)

I've been having a lot of stressful going on...more details when I'm not posting from my phone, but suffice it to say, I've been having health issues and anxiety. No fun. Hoping to feel well enough to get to the gym in the morning, and REALLY hoping to see a loss finally!

philana 04-06-2012 06:00 AM

movement! 140.2!

I was here 3 weeks ago and strangely enough I went up while I've been at a deficit worth atleast a 2lbs loss! Oh well.

GoingForGold82 04-06-2012 08:11 AM

Hey All! I know I've been away, but I checked up on you guys a couple times and am so PROUD of your losses. I think there is something with the weather change (at least in the Northeast) that is making weight loss sssssslloooooooooooooooooooooooooowwwwwwww down :-P

I have been hanging out at 158 - LOADS of stress, and I'm just hanging on until I make it through finals in early June. I really have so much stress on all fronts, so losing weight kinda took a back seat :-( (but maintaining didn't!).

Rainy - hang in there girl!
Flash - I'll be back this weekend with your party!!! 100 lbs - WOW!!

Nadya 04-06-2012 05:00 PM

I weighed myself today and the scale is showing 155. That's another 2 pound loss since last week and yet I'm still afraid my weight is gonna shoot back up into the 160's. I'm not 100% sure why I'm losing so much but my trainer said that maybe my metabolism is speeding up. I dunno, I haven't been counting my calories all that closely and I haven't been working out hardly at all, I've been way too stressed and busy lately. But here's to hoping I keep going and nothing weird is going on!

rainydays 04-07-2012 11:09 AM

STILL frickin maintaining! Happy that I'm staying stable within healthy BMI limits, but I just want to see the 140s. Grrr.

torito 04-07-2012 04:54 PM

Flashfacts – way to go!! 100lbs is soo awesome!! It's definitely party time! :balloons: :celebrate:
Trisaratops – congrats! I’m sure you’ll be in the 140s in no time
LiannaKole – the downward trend is all that matters so keep it up. Eating on plan for 3 weeks on the road would be tough, but bring as many snacks as you can, when you have to eat out try and figure out calorie counts as much as you can, or just go for the healthiest options they have. But since you said you wont be eating out that much, just bring A LOT of healthy snacks. Theres tons of veggies that you can pre cut up that will last (not just carrot sticks), and high protein like string cheese. Lots of protein/fiber bars.
I have never gone vegan, and I do feel badly about how animals are treated but I guess I’m selfish that I like meat too much to really do anything about it. I just couldn’t physically be able to do it, but I commend anyone that can
Reba – welcome to the 140s!!
Em123 – congrats on the minigoal!
Raindays – I’m sorry to hear you’re not feeling that well. Going to the gym can sometimes make me feel better. And try and be happy that you’re maintaing even though you’re not going down. It’s better than going up!
Philana – you’re so close to the 130s. Wow! Glad to see you finally got some movement
GoingForGold – congrats on maintaining during a stressful time – I know how difficult that can be
Nadya – As long as you’re not losing excessive amounts too quickly, I’d be happy with the loss

As for me – I bounced up a little bit today to 146.6 but I’m not too worried about it. I’m excited to cross the 145 mark into a healthy BMI
