This is how myths start.

Running does not give you killer abs.

Running does burn a lot of calories.

Lose enough fat and you'll reveal your ab muscles.

Everyone holds their fat a little different. For example - my abs will be the last muscle I see because I hold my fat directly over my abs like many men. My wife abs show at a much higher bodyfat percentage because she holds her fat in her thighs and buttocks like many women do.

Not exactly. If you're doing work outs for your abs, you could be building a six pack, but it won't show if it's buried under fat. Cardio, like running, removes the fat to reveal whatever abs you have.
