@fromthebox: My dorm room in college was so much better than what the students get here. But oh well. It's not so bad -- I'm close to all the sessions and the weather has been wonky. Oh yes, it's also a lot cheaper than getting a hotel room for five nights.

The gym I currently go to is open 24 hours. I always wonder who goes at 3am, but I suppose someone must. Perhaps people who work overnights or swing and like to keep their day/night schedule stable?

Great work JLNichols - just getting to the second, third day of no binges (I'm assuming you are binging on sugar) is the hardest part for me.

Yesterday I hit a long-time-no-see low of 58.9 kg (129.9 lb), but then pizza buffet happened. I'm not 58.9 kg this morning, but I assure you I will be that and LOWER by the end of the week.

Just wanted to stop by and say hey to you all (for those that remember me haha...)

My life is insanely busy now that I'm working full time, I have no idea how the rest of you all manage to post on here as well! I miss you all, but I just can't post regularly like I used to...

I'm finally down to 60kg, but I know it's slow going because I haven't been as strict as I was before - but it's not a gain, and I'm still losing and feeling good, so I think it's ok.

I'm back into my art again as well, which makes me happy - I love my new studio space and I'm feeling inspired again

Rainbow: Good hearing from you! YAY for being down to 60 kg!

DAY THREE no binges. Krampus: Yes! Binging on sugar & carbs! It helps that TOM is over with though lol.
Can't wait until Friday gets here to see where I'm at on the scale. I completely removed my battery and put it up so I couldn't be tempted to step on at random times. Plus it's giving me motivation to stay on track.
I haven't been able to get a lot of exercising in so I imagine my weightloss will probably be slowing down a lot but hopefully if I continue with calorie counting it won't come to a STOP.

As for my social life goes..it sucks. All I do is WORK, WORK & WORK! Granit the job is seasonal-fulltime I just hope they don't greatly reduce my hours or lay me off when the season is over with..still got a while to go before that happens though.

PS---Bought a swimsuit for our "big vacation" the 2nd week of June hoping that I look fantastic in it when the 2nd week of June rolls around..not only that hoping its warm because the past 2 days it's beein the 50's..and I don't see much swimming if it doesn't warm up around my area!

JL Nichols-- So proud of ya for bouncing back! The daily weigh thing can really backfire sometimes, so your plan sounds solid. New swimsuits are great motivation!

Krampus-- OoO you're so brave for wanting a tattoo. I am way too indecisive. Anyway, we can overcome these weekend food minefields, dammit!

Ferumbras-- Wow, it sounds like you're doing great sticking to your plan! Looking forward to getting home from your conference?

Rainbow
-- We miss you, and are glad to hear you're still doing well.

fromthebox
-- You look sooskiinnnnyyyyy!! Congratulations You're motivating me for sure!!

Very much looking forward to flying home tomorrow. I miss my DH. It's been a little difficult staying on plan, especially because months ago I bought meal tickets for breakfast, lunch, and dinner here at the conference. Yet for lunch today, I had once piece of roast turkey breast. That's it (their salad bar got really boring and untasty after a few days). So on the one hand, I feel silly not eating more (like the mashed potatoes, cheese and broccoli soup, brownies, cookies, soft serve...) that I've already paid for. But I look at it like this: yes, I may have paid, but think of how much I'll end up paying for the decision to indulge in those sweets. I'll hate myself for it. Better to just eat my protein and recognize that tomorrow I will be finally away from temptation (not counting the airports).

Oh, and since everyone's talking about it, I too am thinking of getting a second tattoo. But I'm going to save it for when I complete my dissertation, as something of a reward to myself.

@JL: Well done on the no-binging!

hey everyone, im not dead yet but sometimes i feel like it! job is still high stress, high anxiety, and ive begun to have migraines. Usually i get them once every 4 years or something but ive had 2 in 3 weeks now, so today when i got one i took the day off and went to my dr to get some drugs. Usually i get the headache and throw up, but now im getting the visual symptoms first and then the headache and nausea. Weird. But I have drugs now so hopefully i will be able to function as a more normal human being

I'm back on plan with eating, exercise is a bit harder because it keeps getting interrupted by migraines and things, but im getting there. Last weekend I went to a glass bead making workshop and it was SO AWESOME. I think i found a new hobby Theyre in the kiln at the moment but when i pick them up ill post pictures (if they turn out any good xD ). I'm all like "omg, want my own glass making studio, omg omg soo awesome face"

I see we have more new people since i was last here, so welcome

ferumbras- i know the feeling! I try to think of that money as an investment in my health. Airports are tricky for me too, but i think you will do fine

JL- congrats on being binge free! I hope it gets warmer for you too! Its getting colder here so that sun's gotta be going somewhere north

rainbow- hi!! congrats on new studio and being near 60kg

krampus- congrats on hitting a low! I knwo you will be back there soon

Well i better stop before i make this migraine anyworse. Plus side- the "max' part of the "paramax" seems to be working as i no longer want to throw up everywhere. Yay!

@Iconised: I'm so sorry to hear you have migraines. I get them too, and they're a real . On another note, what actually goes in to making glass beads? Glass blowing I understand and have seen (okay, understand is an exaggeration), but I'm far less certain on the bead end of things.

ferumbras- its like, you get a stick and you heat it up, then you get a rod of glass, hold the stick under the flame, put the glass through the flame and as it melts sort of smear it around the stick until you have a blob, then heat it and turn it until it becomes round or donut shaped. Then you can add layers and dots and patterns etc using different colours of molten glass. They have some photos here http://www.borntobead.co.nz/student-...m=1&gallery=44 it was awesome
Migraines are strange aye! Like, for me the headache is not the worst headache in the world but i just cant cope with it for some reason? Maybe because the other symptoms make it worse, i dunno

inconised~ when you said bead class, i pictured woman sitting in a circle stringing beads...but this looks way more fun!

just curious, do any of you consider exercise walking outside? around a lake or park? or does it have to be heart pumping, sweat inducing to be considered a workout? its so nice out, i rather go push my daughter around the park, then to sweat to some dvd....but i wonder if thats enough? am starting to second guess my plan...

Aggie ~ I usually go to the gym for my workouts, but there are times that it's either too nice out or something gets in my way and I don't have time for the gym. When that happens, I take a walk around my neighborhood. I mapped it the other day and it's about 3 miles. I definitely count that as exercise.

Plus, you'll be pushing your daughter which gives you some more resistance. It will definitely help!!!

Hey guys,
Totally discouraged this morning. Have been exercising like a fiend and staying on play food wise (with the exception of the weekend, but that's nothing new) and the scale is not moving. Ugh.

Still going to do my run today before work.... I won't give up.

I might mope a little, though.

Hope you're all having a good Monday so far,
-FPSJ

Sharp lower back pain is back with a vengeance, dammit. I tried yoga via Youtube videos yesterday morning and did some crunches, and I think the crunches have added up and just thrown out my back. It even interferes with walking; I had to cut a run short yesterday because of the pain. Annoying, but at least I have food completely under control. It's like being on autopilot, eating clean/on plan. 59.1 kg/130.3 lbs today. I feel pretty great aside from my back.

10 weeks til I move back to the U.S. So much to do. AHHH

aggie I consider "exercise" anything that is vigorous enough where I can't sing well while doing it. So if you're walking, walk fast enough where you can't sing and walk at the same time...but really, anything that's not sitting and staring at a glowing box is pretty decent in this modern lifestyle.

FPSJ The scale will eventually move. Keep the moping to a minimum if you can - you're making good choices and not binging!

JLNichols Wow, she didn't recognize you?! Awesome! Good work on staying binge free too.

Icon Really sucks about the migraines. Glad to hear you're back on track with food, exercise will follow. And doing only one is better than doing neither for sure!

Ferumbras Oh boy, one piece of turkey breast! Sounds like you'll have way better choices once you get home.

rainbowstripe Nice to hear from you! I work full time but I have NOTHING to do at work, so I just sit posting on 3FC all day. It sounds like you're doing great balancewise, and I'm happy you are back into art.
