Haley - Dont be too sad about coming to Ohio. It gets a bad rap, but it's pretty cool. We have GREAT metroparks around Akron, lots of things to do, and some *awesome* heath food stores.

Side notes for me:

237 today. I'm doing a little dance! Staying steady. Working out. Way to go me. I'm on track to reach my 230 by 8/20. Gonna run tonight, keep my calories in check today. YES!!

And THANK GOD tomorrow is Friday. But, tragically, I have to have dinner with my DH's parents. Big sigh.

Okay so BF got me a crock pot this past weekend so yesterday I made Thai Peanut Pork! It was amazing. So I'm posting a picture of it. I served it over Quinoa. It was a bit high point/cal-wise, but still manageable. Oh, and I've got the BF hooked. He was so impressed with my "cooking" it was adorable.

Weigh-in tonight...think good thoughts for me! Rent (the musical) tomorrow at the Hollywood Bowl, I'm so excited!
Have a great Thursday everyone! Friday is in sight!

TOMORROW IS FRIDAY!

I have to stop weighing myself everyday. It's not good, I obsess over it, and I get pissed off when it doesn't say what I want it to. On the up side, I'm back down to 164 (which is where I started) I guess it was just water weight. blahhh.
I don't know if I mentioned this (pretty much everyday), but it is soo effing hot here. I want to get back into running, but I HATE the treadmill. I think I'll force myself tonight. I am really in need of a new iPod, that would definitely help matters. Anyway, I hope you girls have a great Thursday!

Yessss, on the heat! I can't make myself run on the treadmill and I try to wait until after sundown, but by then I'm either in the middle of other things or wound down too much to get out and jog.

Hehe, Friday Eve, I like it, Amanda. I like it.

Becky - I was all excited about dress pictures...and then my work computer blocked it. Way to go on the Taebo, and hopefully that coffee helps

Icon - YAY Dell!!! I have to call them. My keyboard does odd things. Feral can attest to this.

Ade - I LOOOOOOOVE Rent. Its one of my favorites. Have you ever seen it?

Okay. So I had a little argument with myself this morning about whether or not I should go to the gym - then I weighed myself. Apparently I've gained 3 lbs since Monday. Not sure where they came from, as I've been exercising and eating well, so I got really irritated and went to the gym. I was down a little bit afterward, but not enough to quench my annoyance. Its fine, it'll go down, its just fake. I'm staying positive, as I munch on my crackers and spicy hummus

I did another hour of tae bo just a little bit ago. Now I need to make some lunch for me and the kiddos. Then off to work in a couple of hours woohoo

Good morning everyone.

I still have some MAJOR stressors going on in my life and it seems like they keep piling up. I couldn't resist weighing myself this morning so I jumped on the scale with my clothes on and those pounds I saw that scared me so bad were gone. Naturally I had to take off my clothes and weigh myself again to see if it's true and it looks like I gained a pound, but that's ok, I'm still on track, working out every day and counting my calories. As long as I keep doing those things I know I won't fall too far off the weight loss wagon.

I am so excited tomorrow is Friday I can't even tell you guys. All I want is one day to sleep in.

I have a random question.

How do you count how many dress sizes you've lost? Do you just subtract the number (size 14 to size 10 = 4 sizes lost) or is it started at 14, went to 12, went to 10 so I lost 2 dress sizes?

So I bought a bottle of the Emerald Almonds with the portion control bar on the side. Which I love, because portion control is my downfall. However, they were kind of pricey. So my friend, came up with the idea to just keep the bottle and refill with less pricey almonds/nuts when I am finished with this bottle. She's such a genius!

Just wanted to share!

Casey - I will be a large bag of baking nuts (because they are raw and unsalted) and then split them into the snack size bags as soon as I get home from the store. That way I just grab a bag and throw it in my lunch box. Plus the baking nuts are much cheaper than those in the smaller cans.

Just a note for you - I don't know what diet you are on, but South Beach doesn't really require portion control (nuts and sugar free items are the exception.) As long as you are eating the correct foods, you dont really have to limit how much.

...but you probably want to keep practicing portion control, because eventually you'll have to maintain and that's one of the keys to maintenance...

I definitely have to practice portion control no matter what. I am an over eater, and I have to keep a constant check on it. Even if it is healthy food.
