smisen: that's so exciting about the house!!

sam: congrats on the loss!! that's so great!!!

haley: it totally shouldn't matter whether you drink or not...you're there! that's all that should matter! she should be happy that she has someone that will be looking over here just in case! alcohol or no alcohol, and night out is always fun!!

I got on the scale today and i'm at 146.6. Finally moving back down after a tiny plateau, and TOM comes on sunday so hopefully this will be another "session" where I just drop the pounds. I went to the gym this morning and now i'll be going to study until i have to go to work at 4. What a thrilling life I live! haha. My school's relay for life is tomorrow from 7pm to 7am the next morning, and I'm so excited about it! I know I'll be sleep deprived, but it's worth it! So many members of my family had passed away from cancer so this event is HUGE for me. So far I've raised 170.00 dollars, and I'd love to raise more, but no one wants to donate! People just don't care now a days. At least I get paid tonight so I'll have money for the onsite fundraisers tomorrow. You're also supposed to walk a lot to represent that cancer never rests for those who have it, so I'll be getting a lot of walking in.

Have a great day ladies!

HEY LADIES (I just sang that to the tune of Beastie Boys incase anyone was wondering)

Soooo.... my past year has been horrible. I've refrained from going too much into my life because I feel like when I do people feel sorry for me or feel like I want them to feel sorry for me (if that makes any sense) but in the last year I got laid off, seperated from my husband, and moved back in with mom. Not to mention a crap load of other things.
So now its coming to the point where I can no longer escape my reality and I have to deal with all my issues and man is it tough. Last time I had to do a job interview, or think about dating, or try to meet friends I was thin. I've never been heavy before so dealing with these issues is so hard for me. It's like I'm a whole nother person now and frankly I just am having a really hard time dealing.
So theres my deal. Had a job interview today. I felt so insecure and nervous going in but I think I hid it well enough and I think all went well
Moving on the right track I guess
I am dead set on seeing how much weight I can lose before my birthday! (May 9th) I'll be in Hatteras so its a good place to set a mini goal. I'm shooting for at least 10 pounds.
AND I bought the hungry girl 200 recipes under 200 calorie cookbook. I wasnt doing good on that hardcore diet I was on and found myself cheating so I am going a different route. Hopefully this road takes me to a skinny destination
ALSO I bought the kymara body shaper. LOVE IT. It has really bad reviews from what I read online but I LOVE mine, so I'm not sure what those people are talking about.

Haley- Cute new pic! You can really see weightloss in your face. What band are you going to see on Saturday!?

Kelly - Hang in there sweetie! I think 10lbs, if not more, is definitely achievable for you by May 9. Are you counting calories or points?

Kelly I haven't been through those same circumstances but I went through 2 years of BS and then I moved back home with my parents. The first year back home I spent working on me and it honestly was the best thing I could've asked for. Much harder than I anticipated, but the outcome was much better as well.

Keep your head up!

Kelly, I know exactly how you feel. I too have never really been heavy, and yet life circumstances have left me with plenty to lose. I'm so sorry for everything you are going through. Be strong - you'll get back to exactly where you want to be. Everything in life happens for a reason, and everything is going to turn out fine.

It sounds like you're on the right path. Good luck!

Stella - If you bought it at Trader Joe's you can return it, no questions asked. I think it's one of those things you get used to, like fat free milk and cheese. It's a LOT sweeter than regular peanut butter but I really like it, especially with pretzels and bananas. But then again, I eat every and anything. The only thing that I don't like is taro cooked in soup to the point where it's like semi-melting.

And Kelly - You can do it! Let me know how the Hungry Girl cookbook goes. I think I may have to cave and buy it sometime. I volunteered today! PB Brownie soon. I love feeding myself

HOOOOOOOOOOORRRRRRRRRRRRRAAAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYYY!!!!

I bought new shoes. Now, I will admit, I'm probably a sucker, but I'm okay with it. I look at is as an investment. I went to this store called Raleigh Running Outfitters. The guy analyzed my gait and told me what I already know -- I'm pigeon toed and my feet roll inward. I realized that last summer when my Rainbow sandals finally died and I took a good look at them.

The guy brought out a pair of Asics and Saucony. The Asics were more comfortable... they're silver and pink... and I bought them. $100 later I walked out of the store and went straight to the GYM.

I actually did C25K in front of people. I'll be honest, I was terrified but I realized I was more concerned with what I was doing than the people around me and they should be too.

Also, my treadmill at home is WAYYY different than the one at the gym. I walk about 3.5 on mine at home (3.8ish at gym) and run about 4.5 at home (5.2 at gym).

ONE work out down... 14 to go.

Then I had to go get some things at Target all pink and stinky. HA! My eating has been OP today.

HASTA LA VISTA 190S!

Feral - I've come to think that at the gym - at first I totally thought it would just be people starting at me the whole time but everyone there is really nice and I just focus on my workouts! Yay for new shoes :3 AND yay for OP eating!

Ohgod, I swear hummus is the best thing ever. I LOVE it. I'm having my afternoon snack of carrots and roasted red pepper hummus mmmmmm so good!

OMG ladies there is no way I can catch up and it looks like I missed a lot. A few things though.

Mary- YOUR HAIR=AMAZING.

Feral- I love asics. I need new shoes too.

Smisen- yay homeownership! good luck tomorrow; it will all be worth it in the end.

I am soooo stressed out. My mom just started chemo for breast cancer, I have to decide which grad school to go to without having any financial aid packages yet, I have to rent my house, and there's so much more I can't even list it all. Those are the big three though. I've been insanely busy so I haven't been around a lot. The one good news thing I have to report is that my custom made dress from Etsy came!! I'm going to go post pics in the picture thread/on my blog.

ETA: I updated my goal pics: http://www.3fatchicks.com/forum/3218370-post53.html

Haley and Stella - I love that you changed your avatars!! you both look fantastic!! !

Feral - My new asics (bought last week) are pink and silverish white....perhaps we're sporting the same sneaks?????? We're more alike than you think!!!

One week from today until I am in Boston!! yay!!! Can't wait to go shopping and hit up Trader Joe's and a grocery store and get some goods!!

For those of you talking about Hungry Girl - I love love love her, her books, and her daily emails!! I only get angry because alot of her fabulous finds and great ideas aren't avail in Canada - hence why I am so freaking excited to grocery shop!! Her new 1-2-3 book comes out Tuesday - yay!!

My back is still in crazy pain - however I went to my MMA class tonight, felt awesome to sweat like mad again but feels horrible now. Friday's at Largo are "the ball" class - always my day off because I freaking hate the ball...however, its alot of stretching so I'm thinking it will be good for me! I'm gonna do it!

AND a lady from Largo heard I wanted to go to Hot Yoga and got me a free pass!!! yay

TGIF - very sooooooon!!

Mary - I LOVEEEEE HUMMUS! I don't know the brand name but there's a jalepeno hummus that I adore because I love spicy stuff!!!! I'm a fan of chickpeas in general. Love adding them to salads. Someone had suggested adding spices to them and roasting them in the oven for a snack. I'm going to try that this weekend.

Forest - I'm so sorry to hear about your mom. My mom had a cancer scare right when I left for college my freshman year. That was just a scare, I can't imagine actually having to deal with that. However, the school nurse here was diagnosed this year and went through chemo and STILL WORKED... she's a trooper and I'm sure your mom is too! <3 Like Mary said, one day at a time, one thing at a time!

Jenny - if these are the shoes then yes, we are shoe twins!!!!!! How awesome are we?!

Jess - GOOD LUCK! YOU ARE TOTALLY GONNA ROCK IT! MAKE THOSE HILLS YOUR B*TCH! Let us know how it goes!!!!

--------------------------

HAPPY FRIDAY EVERYONE!

Kind of strange start to my day so far, but you know what? IT'S FRIDAY!!!!!

First off - Tuesday I weighed 194.5. Yesterday was my first day COMPLETELY back on plan in a while. Granted TOM is still here (should be over by Sunday), but this morning I decided to weigh myself and I was 190.5. I don't feel dehyrdated so I don't know what the heck is going on.... but I'll take it. I guess well see tomorrow morning and Sunday. I want it to stick (or go lower).

I've decided today must be man-period day. For those of you with a significant other/interest watch out. You guys know Mike and I have been planning on seeing each other for 4 months. Yesterday he texted me and asked if I wanted to meet up with him next weekend because he got some time off. Well, the only problem with that is that I already have plans. Thurs night I'm DD for Eric's b-day bar crawl, Saturday Meredith's family is having a cook out for his birthday. Sunday is Easter and even though I'm not big on it my parents are so it's a family day. I am willing to give up the cook out, but I asked him what happened to the 16th since we've been planning it since JANUARY? Now granted, this was all via text, but he comes back with "Dude, I've been working 60-70 hour weeks, someone just quit and another got fired. I don't know that I'll be able to borrow coverage for that weekend. It's not a guarantee." Mike is typically the NICEST guy in the world. I've heard him get mad but for the most part he is very balanced, easy going and a lot of fun. I may have just been defensive, but I was asking myself wtf the attitude was about. So I told him to give me a call and we could figure out whether he's going to drive down here or I can meet him halfway. Obviously I have to be home for Easter on Sunday, but I don't have to work on Friday so... that might work in our favor. He emails me this morning and say: "Don't worry about next weekend. I am not gonna take u from ur plans. I will call u when I get out work. Have a super friday"

WHAT THE CRAP IS THAT ABOUT? Of course me being the dumb girl I replied with

"Mike, don't be like that.... I can't do Thursday night because I already committed, but if you want to do Friday and Saturday I'd be more than happy. I'm not working Friday.

Let me know.

Have a great day!!! <3"

He better not be rude to me this afternoon though or I'm going to go the eff off. He can't be mad because I already had plans made (which is why we decided on the 16th anyway), he springs it on me a week in advance and then is pissy when I TOLD him okay we'll work it out.

/rant [thanks for letting me vent]
