Does anybody else try to poo before a weigh in? Haha...that's gotta be a fraction of a pound...that shows up on the scale!
I also try to poo before wearing a skinny outfit to go out or something, lol. I highly doubt that it makes a visible difference, it's for my own peace of mind, lol.
Unfortunately, I am an afternoon poo-er typically. However, if for some reason I do poo in the morning, I will go back and weigh myself. Also, I always pee before I weigh too. And I take off all of my clothes because I want to know how much *I* weight.
I refuse to weigh in the afternoon/night. I have done that before and it's always more at night from eating and what not. So I'm a strictly first thing in the morning, post bathroom, pre shower kind of girl!
Yeah. I try to have a lot of water/fiber before bed so when I wake up that's the first thing that happens.
I HATE when I have to do it after I eat breakfast, because then its not accurate b/c breakfast is in my tummy. Oh, if I only I could have coffee before bed and not have it keep me up.
If I can, I'll poo before I weigh... Or as in today I actually tried to go. lol, I weighed myself and was down a pound, but it was so close to the next number... I had to poo and see if it would make a difference to show that extra pound. No such luck, but I tried, hehe.

I've definitely done the same thing.
Which leads me to the disturbing question...I wonder how much a typical poo weighs. I sure as heck know I'm not pinching off any ideal 18-inchers, but I mean it has to weigh SOMETHING.

I've weighed myself before and after BM many times, only had it make a difference on the scale once. Last week I lost 2 pounds after a poo!
Yeah I was going to say - I'd estimate between 1 and 2 lbs. I don't have 18 inchers either, but uh, you know. You can only go so many times a day, and think about how much your actual food weighs.
So ... speaking of poo... how many times per day do you go?
I go A LOT ... I think it's abnormal. Sometimes I'll go 3 times before I even start the work day ...
I usually only go once in the morning. Occasionally I'll go twice during the day. Any more than that I tend to adjust my diet. But I've heard that up to 3x/day is considered just fine.
I have had problems with really intense eating disorders for over 10 years and thoroughly messed up my GI tract because of it so I can go a week or more without taking a poo on my own so i give enemas and take suppositories every 4-5 days and I always weigh before and after - I can sometimes lose 5 to 6 lbs overnight! I never fully trust the scale because of that!
If I'm eating really healthy and getting all that lovely fiber, I will go twice a day. Its almost an immediate change. I can tell when my diet is sucky because I have IBS and it always gets screwed up if I'm not eating well. I can go days without going and get all crampy and backed up. ...very unpleasant.
And speaking of 5lb poo's. My BF's daughter has problems going regularly and when she went to the doctor he said this little 10 yearold 60lb girl had probably 6 POUNDS of poo backed up in her from when he was palpating her large intestine!
On the lovely poo topic, I can totally tell which part of my food/poo was processed after I started drinking during a night out, as opposed to before. For example, today, half my poo was harder and dark, while the second half was much lighter and soft...totally a result of the alcohol consumed last night. It cracks me up every time.
OK, can you show an inaccurate weight gain because of not pooping?! I haven't gone since Friday. AHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!! I think I went over on my sodium, too, yesterday...so I was actually UP 1.5 lbs on the scale this morning. WTF! I need to change my weigh in day, too, because this is the absolute worst way to start on a Monday. I don't even feel like I can go, either. I've been pretty good with my fiber, definitely never exceeding 1450 calories, and drinking lots of water. I complained to my husband this morning after getting off the scale and he said, "you'll poop that right out for a loss." Is it bad that I am sort of praying for a 6 lb poo?
