It's been pretty quiet around here lately!

Echo- Sorry for your gain! We just weren't ready to let you leave the 160s thread yet! :wink: LOL

I have been stepping up my working out for the last week. I'm usually at it for about 2 hours every night now! I doubt that this week will be a big lose but I'm counting on at least a pound for my weigh in tomorrow!

In other news, I went bra shopping on Saturday. I buy all my bras at Lane Bryant but I refuse to buy them whole price so I wait until it's buy 1 get 1 free, buy 1 get one half price or buy 2 get 2 free. It was buy 1 get one half off and my sister had a coupon. Together my sisters and I bought 6 bras, spent $114 dollars and saved $104!!! I just love looking at savings like that! I also went down a whole band size and a whole cup size! Super excited about that because before I started losing weight, I was bulging out of my old bras.

Every week since I started this new journey, I have been taking front and side pictures of myself in a bra and underwear the day of weigh in. I made video of the progress and showed it to my mom, sisters, grandmother and aunts (all are trying to lose weight, as well). Everyone can't believe that ten pounds can make a person look so different. I took one clothed the first week so I think this week I'll do that again to show you the progress!

Finally, I have found something I hadn't seen in at least 3 years... my ribs!!! I was pushing my belly out and then sucking it in in front of the mirror the other day and I saw a little indent. I thought it was just a dimple but when I touched it I realized it wasn't. Granted, I still need to suck in to see that but it's great inspiration. I also noticed a whole lot of definition in my arms that was never there before. I've started carrying 1lb weights when I'm stepping (and watching tv) and doing some raises and punches. I'm starting to feel really great about myself!

Well, I have a million things to do and it's already twenty to 1 in the morning. I just wanted to check up on you girls. Send me some losing vibes for tomorrow!!!!

I was at 169.8 on the gym scale today, friends! I have never been so excited. lol. Finally broke the big 170 mark!

Here are some clothed Before and After Pictures. The half naked ones look much better in my opinion LOL. I LOVE Tinkerbell and my grandmother bought me that shirt while in Disney World in August. She was definitely in denial about my weight and bought me a Large. I still don't have the guts to wear it out because it's form fitting and I still have too many lumps and bumps. The pants are white jean capris from Sears. I didn't realize how unflattering the belly area was until I looked at these pictures. Good thing I always wear them with longer sweaters! So, here you are from 177 to 167 (unofficial 1 pound gain from my weigh in day treat of Wendy's last night).

Note: I don't usually look so mad. LOL I didn't have my contacts in and I think my glasses would have ruined the pictures so I had to squint to see when the self timer would go off!!!:dizzy:

Hi everyone! Just joining the group! I weighed in at 169.8 this morning (Sundays are my "official" weigh day). Just barely made it...hope I don't bounce back up! I'm gonna work extra hard this week to make sure I stay here and don't have to go back to the 170s group :)

Hoping the 160s will be nice to me...I'd ideally like to move on to the 150s group in about 5-6 weeks! Good luck to all of you!!

Dymond-- I hope you have better luck getting to the 150s than I do. I feel so stuck and I'm not having a good week.

We are renovating our bathroom and it's turning into a huge hassle (leaking toilet, crooked tiles...). On top of that I'm designing two sets of pretty complicated invitations (for family, no less... and no $) that have to be done quickly and fixing a computer. That's on top of my nanny job! So much stress and all I want to do is eat eat eat and there's barely time to exercise. :(

No luck here just pure determination and hard work( blah blah blah). I pretty sure you agree with me that weight loss is NOT I repeat is NOT based on luck lol. but on a serious note if you believe in your goals then it will manifest itself in reality. I believe that to the fullest. Just got to hang in there to until it comes to you. alot of us give up right before it happens. keep going

That's true. Luck would be if we all woke up tomorrow and magically weighed 20 pounds less. LOL


When do you all weigh in? My official weigh in day is Wednesday at 5pm. I really thought I did bad this week but my scale is putting me at a lose as of right now. We will have to see tomorrow.

I'm at 168.4.

A small gain, but hopefully I'm going to be out of the 160s soon so I can achieve my mini-goal of 158 before my friend's wedding on November 28. Does that seem feasible?
