Welcome, sweettoth! May your stay in the 160s be quick and painless! :)

I did my official weigh in and it was..... 163.6!!! It's TOM so I really really thought it wouldn't go that low but boy am I excited!

just keep swimming 11-05-2009 02:12 PM

Ooh, can I join? I'm at 162, 14 lbs up from my lowest weight of 148 last year, but I'm on my way back down...

Echo 11-05-2009 05:19 PM

That's awesome Kurri!!! well done! :celebrate: maybe we can both break out of the 160s together and move into the 150s together, would be good to have a partner in crime! hehehe :)

Thanks, Echo! Wow, you are SUPER close to the 150s!

Echo 11-05-2009 06:12 PM

You're welcome justkeepswimming!

hehe yeh i hope i can break through it by monday! ive been stuck at 160 for a month! i want to get down to 156.5lbs before i feel ready to leave the 160s thread. because i keep thinking it wont be real and i will shoot up back to the 160s. so want a cushion of 4.5 lbs lol plus my manual scale is in kg. so that means i want to be at 71kg.

its funny, but i also have a digital scale, which i dont use as my offical weight, but go on it "just for fun" but its nuts, it gives me a different reading within minutes! drives me crazy. so i dont trust it at all. but its fun to just see what it says, and it always tells me i'm 2-3 lbs lighter than my manual scale!

Echo 11-06-2009 09:46 AM

hey girls, today my scale said 158.7lbs! i really hope i can maintain it for my mondays biggest loser weigh in! i havent had a loss for the challenge in 3 weeks. so i really need this for me and my team :)
plus i hope the loss is real ! i keep thinking its a trick lol

I just bought myself a heart rate monitor (polar f7f) i decided it is my present/reward to myself for getting to the 150s! ( i really hope i can maintain it).. i love the idea of rewarding yourself when you reach a mini goal i wanted to get one back in september, and been dreaming about it for months, but couldnt justify the cost and was in two minds about it.

but im so glad i waited, and now the watch will mean something to me and it will be a representation of the 15lbs i've lost so far and getting to the 150s. so i'm glad i treated myself!

if i am still 158.7lb by monday, then i will feel confident to leave this thread.

hope you girls are well!

Congrats, Echo!

I'm trying to only weigh once a week. It's SO HARD.

Echo 11-06-2009 06:22 PM

thanks justkeepswimming! :)

i know tell me about it! i'm kinda neurotic and weigh myself every morning, lol but i only officially weigh in and record my weight every monday morning.

i've learned to expect to see my weight go up and down by a pound or even a couple of pounds during the week, but i dont freak out anymore.

as i know the weight gain could be due to water retention if my muscles are sore after a hard workout, or food storage.

i like weighing myself every morning, helps me to keep on plan cause i know bad decisions today will affect my weigh in the next morning!

KurLEQ 11-07-2009 02:19 AM

Thanks, Echo! I finally know what it feels like to be close to the 150s and boy do I like it! It would be awesome to move to the 150s together!

I weigh myself just as you do: Every morning! Since Wednesdays are official weigh ins for me that's the only one that counts but I like to see how my weight fluctuates throughout the week. For example, this past week was the first week I didn't touch 170 at all. I found that my weight is usually +/- 4lbs at any given time during the week. Good Luck on Monday!

Welcome, just keep swimming! I bet your stay here will be shorter than all the rest of us! What was it like in the 140s? I can't ever remember being that little.

just keep swimming 11-07-2009 12:05 PM

I weighed in at 159 today, but I'm not leaving unless I'm still in the 150s next Saturday.

Kurri - I was in the 140s for like a week, so...

sweettooth 11-07-2009 03:27 PM

i am really sad to kick myself out of this thread and go back to the 170s.

I joined this a few days ago at 169 and now I am at 170.4lbs

Very unhappy to leave but I got to make myself pay for whtever fall out caused me to gain . Argh

Echo 11-07-2009 04:04 PM

aww sweettooth! why dont you stay, and give yourself a week to get back to 169 again! i'm sure you can do it ! :) i believe in always moving forwards! you can do it!!
besides you can not trust your weight just after a few days, it could just be water retention or undigested food!

i would give yourself at least a weekly weigh in to see how you are REALLY doing.

you are right. I think I can give myself another week to see where I stand. Plus a positive attitude may only help me shed those few ounces again to get back in the 160s.

Dang it those ounces are not leaving me. I feel it is because I am not exercising nearly enough. I just have to get over this feeling of procrastination and get myself on that treadmill. The moment i think about getting ready to go to the gym my mind goes -- 5 more min -- 5 more min. Let me just finish this --- and then the time is gone.
