Hi! I am also from the Dragon Team and wanted to introduce myself to my new team!
I read through the old posts here and this seems like a motivating team! I too have done 30DS but I stopped for a bit.. the scale stopped moving and that sent me into binge mode!
The last challenge we had in Dec I didn't lose any weight for 3 weeks! It was soo unmotivating.
This week has been not so great. I ate soo bad 3 days this week and now I am back OP. I am just hoping for a maintain this week. I want to be at goal by Mem Day weekend.
I dont follow a particular plan.. I used to do calorie counting and points counting. I get too obsessed though. I am just trying to be active (tae bo DVD or treadmill 4 times a week and ballroom dancing classes one time a week) and I try to eat healthy.
I look forward to getting to know everyone for the next month of our challenge!

Jessie - I know how you feel! When I have a minor slip up, and the scale doesn't move in the right direction, it sends me into a tailspin! You're doing great though! Just keep plugging away at it! Most people say take one day at a time, and though this is true, sometimes for me (and I know for alot of others) its every hour at a time, and sometimes every minute!

How's everyone else today?? Week 3 is closing in on us, and tomorrow some of you may be weighing in! (Weigh in this week starts Sunday the 25th, and ends Tuesday the 27th). I can't wait to see how well everyone has done!

Welcome new team members!!

I have been doing great! I'm happy that I am finally in a routine of writing EVERYTHING that I eat, even spoonfuls of peanut butter. hehe I lost 40 pounds in college when I wrote everything down. I think it's really helping me again.

I was doing awesome at working out these past 2 weeks too. Yesterday, I just flew down to Grand Cayman to visit my husband. I'll be down here till next Sunday. I love being down here! But it's going to be a lot harder to workout. I brought my 30DS and hope to walk/jog in the evenings with the hubby.

I really need to go grocery shopping though. I can't lose weight on his diet of peanut butter and jelly, grilled cheese, and macaroni and cheese! haha

Angle - Don't get too discouraged! I've had a bad week too, but now we're starting a new week so we'll make it count!

Jessica - Have fun visiting your hubby! Glad to hear you're staying motivated & OP!

To everyone - Weigh in's started today, and go through Tuesday, so be sure to post it in the weigh in thread by Tuesday everning! (Thats when I add up the totals). Can't wait to see the wonderful progress everyone is making! Also post how many times you did the weeky challenge (walk/jog/run for 30 minutes was this weeks challenge), if you did it at all, because its earns fun-points for the team! And check out the weekly challenge thread for THIS weeks fun-points challenge!

Hey ladies!! I hope everyone has a great week!! Last week wasnt terrible but not great so I'm trying for great this week I figured so we can all get to know each other better I'll start posting a Question of the Day!

QOTD: What is the easiest part of losing weight for you? (ie eating or excercising) We all know whats really hard for us to do but lets hear what you rock at!!

For me, excercise is the easiest part. I love working out and have found things that I really love to do that burn lots of calories like TaeKwonDo (burns 860 cals for an hour of something I love...cant beat that!!)

Hi girls! Sadly, I have to report that I GAINED this week. I had this crazy binge this weekend... so needless to say it showed on the scale. Alas, today is ANOTHER day!

I can give you a million excuses as to what happened last week, but guess what? No one cares. It's about THIS week, in THIS moment. [Yeah, I was giving myself a pep talk!]

My friend at work and I have made a bet. I'm going to see my boyfriend Feb 12th in Atlanta and I want to lose another 10 lbs before then. That way I will have lost a total of 17 lbs (SO CLOSE TO 20!) since I saw him last (Jan 2nd). The goal is 10, but whoever loses the most gets their car detailed by the loser.

She lost another 5 this week so I have lots of making up to do!!!!

I hope you're all having a GREAT week. For those of you like me who had a bit of a tailspin... let's pull ourselves up and dust ourselves off!!! We have a WHOLE TEAM to fight fore (as well as ourselves).

Have a FANTASTIC Monday everyone!

Hey team!
Feral- I also live kind of far from my BF and we only see each other once a month. We once went 8 weeks... it was awful! Good luck with your weight loss! I am rooting for you!

Yelie- I like the idea of a question of the day but no one really is chatty today! The easiest for me for weight loss is cooking healthy. I love to cook and I am pretty creative and can transform almost any fatty meal into a healthy one!

Jessica- I am soooo jealous you are in Grand Cayman! I would give anything to work on my tan! That is I think the most beautiful island in the Caribbean (at least that I have been to)! Enjoy that weather and enjoy exercising outside!

AngelMae- Where from Ohio was your friend visiting? I was born in Columbus and have lots of family in Ohio!

I WI'ed in today but will WI again tomorrow and hope for a better number. I am hoping my maintain/slight gain is party due to my eating a lot of sodium-packed soup last week and I am still eating it this week (fending off a cold). I noticed my numbers went up last weekend and that is when I started eating it. Maybe not.. I am crossing my fingers!

Good luck and let's finish the rest of this challenge strong! Forget what has happened already! We can still do this!!!!!

Hmmm I would say exercising is the easiest for me to do. As long as I plan it in, I do it. I seem to have a lil more trouble with eating healthy all the time due to temptations while out and at home.

I am so happy that I am back to eating well and exercising so far in Grand Cayman. The first night (Saturday) I used a lot of extra points, and it made me really nervous. I thought I wasn't going to be able to stay on my diet down here. But I stayed on plan yesterday and today! I also went shopping today so I should be able to plan out my meals for the rest of the week. Yay!

Feral, it's a new week! I'm sure you can get back on plan and not really notice the effects of the weekend. Just gotta do it! Sounds you have great motivation to lose some weight. I'm trying to get down to a lower weight by Vday with my hubby too. That will be the next time I see him after this week. Good luck!

JessieCat, I agree that it is beautiful here. I love it whenever I get to go outside. We have to spend a lot of time inside while my hubby studies. But I've been able to go layout on the beach while he's in class!

Yelie - That is a WONDERFUL idea to have a question of the day! I love it! In answer: The easiest part for me is the eating (even though thats still a every minute battle)... Exercising is by far the worst for me...

This gave me an idea! *lightbulb* In addition to the question of the day (which Yelie is officially in charge of! hehe) I would like to post a motivational quote of the day! I get motivational quotes in my email everyday, so I'll just post whatever comes in & seems appropriate (did I spell that right??)... Here's one for today, that I find very fitting, because a few of us have reported having a bad week last week (myself included)...

Our history is not our destiny.

Sorry I've been MIA ladies! Neither my parents or BFs parents computers are working right now so I had a hard time finding a way to get online.

Easiest part for me is breakfast and lunch because I can control what I eat better then at dinner. We have discovered that my fevers are related to the amount of activity I do. Whenever I sit or lay for a long period of time, I'm normal, whenever I'm moving my temperature rises. The more I move, the higher my temperature... exercise is kind of an issue. I want to, but I get so tired while doing it...

Feral- Its a new week...lets kick some booty! I know youre gonna knock your boys socks off

Jessie- Drink lots of water and hopefully you can flush out that extra sodium Hope youre feeling better!

Jessica- I'm so jealous you get to be in Grand Cayman! Have tons of fun and just do the best you can while there...sounds like youre doing awesome so far!

Tues QOTD: Who is your biggest supporter of your weight loss journey?

My DH is by far my biggest supporter. He eats whatever I want to eat and will always watch the kiddos if I decide to go for a walk or hop on the treadmill. However hes prolly also my biggest enabler because if I decide I want junk food hes happy to get it for me lol. The supporting far outweighs the other though

Hi everyone! I am in the dumps about not losing anything for 2 weeks and being so good. Oh well.

My biggest support is my hubby, he really helps me plan the week and creates wonderful healthy meals. But he is also my partner in crime when I want something bad

Hey girls. Today has been freakin' weird. I hopped on the scale this morning and was down to 187.5 from 190.5 yesterday morning. Ugh. I really only need to weigh on Mondays and Thursdays?

My biggest supporter has to be the bf. Unfortunately he's 8 hours away, but he's super supportive. He loves me the way I look [in fact today he said we're gonna have problems if I lose my butt or my boobs LOL!] but has actually been dieting himself alongside with me. He's lost 15 lbs opposed to my 7 +- some. Boys suck for losing faster!!!!
