Yes, AngelD, you are the Biggest Loser of the Week!

Challenge: Okay, for our exercise challenge, should we compete against each other or just ourselves? On another team's thread, they picked a high number (365 I think) and I guess the winner is the first person to exercise that many minutes. It appears to be taking them all more than a week. If we do things individually, we could pick our own goals for the week and see how well we do at reaching however many minutes we've picked for ourselves.

Ugh, I got 4 hours of sleep--I was feeling all this anxiety that had me WIDE AWAKE--and now even though I'm going into work an hour late, I'm struggling to do some exercise. I don't think it's gonna happen. I'm starting yoga after work today and I think I'll try to do a workout video later in addition.

Still 163.9 today. I'm starting to feel I'm sentenced to this weight for life. I know I dipped down a bit last week, I've just been at or above this weight for THREE MONTHS now.

Anyways, I'm quite pleased with our team this week. AngelD, you're off the hook for a big weight loss next week. Who's gonna step up and do it for the Blues??

Well done everyone. We are 4th!!!!

Hope I can keep losing as this will be a tough week for me. I have a wedding at the weekend so will have to be sensible. Not too much wine! Who is up for being next weeks biggest loser??

I've not had chance to workout yet this week as I was busy until 11pm last night but on the plus side it meant I didn't have time to think about eating. I have to go buy an outfit for the wedding tomorrow night so with my total indecisiveness about clothes I will get plenty of exercise walking round all those shops.

Joyra: have you tried switching the types of foods you are eating or type of exercise? Your body may just have gotten used to your routine.

I like the idea of a target amount of exercise. 365 minutes is about 53 minutes a day if you exercise 7 days so should be reasonably managable.

Still stuck at 163.9!

AngelD, I don't feel like I eat the same foods over and over. I also vary my exercise a lot, I do different things for different lengths and intensities everyday. I think the only thing that IS consistent is my weight.

Based on math, calories in vs calories burned, I'm pulling up a deficit and SHOULD be losing weight, maybe slowly but still. For instance let's say including my daily exercise I burn 2000 calories a day. Well, I ate 1600 Monday and maybe 1300 Tuesday... that's 1100 less or almost a third of a lb already in two days. Of course, my scale is in kg AND it's a manual / needle so it doesn't do the best at showing small changes. Though in the big picture, it's just not moving beyond 74.5 kg.

Yesterday I ate a ton of carbs but my calories were pretty low. I technically did 85 minutes of exercise, but it was all pretty low intensity: I walked 20 minutes to the train, 20 more minutes home and then did 45 minutes of light "yoga"... I just signed up for a month of free Dahn yoga which is SO not any sort of yoga I've ever done. It's very energy-focused and you spend all this time pounding on your abdomen and shaking your head... you're supposed to hit your abdomen 1000 times to stimulate your intestines. A bunch of foreigners did the intro class yesterday and I could tell we were all like "What the ----???" But hey, in the name of experiencing new culture, why not? At least I get some movement in it, even if it's not traditional yoga. They made us do sit-ups at the end!

I'm pretty pleased with our 4th place!

Okay so if we want to do the 365 challenge, I'm already up to 115/365. YAY! I probably won't be adding more than 20-30 minutes to that today though, I'm getting home late from work.

Have a good Wednesday everyone!

Ooh this board has quieted down. How'd the first few days go for everyone?

Here's my numbers for Wednesday: 43 minutes of exercise (158/365), 1840 calories (), 163.9 lbs again today. ARGH! to this plateau.

Even though I'm away from massive home-cooked dinners, I am still going to a Thanksgiving restaurant dinner that will probably be high-cal. I'm disappointed I went over yesterday and with my likely overage today, I'll really have to stay low the rest of the week.

I got my first "you look like you lost weight!" compliment, though I am not totally accepting it as sincere. It was from my boyfriend's co-worker who I haven't seen since we moved here. It's hard to say because I was wearing black and dark grey fitted clothes... I've technically lost 1 LB since she last saw me so it's a little hard to believe she can see me as being smaller.

..............................Maybe you are all off celebrating the holiday?

Okay, well I ate so hardcore at Thanksgiving that there's no way I could track my calories. The binging version of me was actually kind of disappointed because from living in Korea and especially dieting, my stomach shrunk and I only fit in 1.75 plates of mashed potatoes, corn, turkey and stuffing. Even though I was so full I wanted to die, I took two little bites of pumpkin pie... just for the taste.

I wasn't really mad at myself, just because this type of food is very rare in Korea and I'm so motivated to stay on plan generally, that I wasn't going to let myself feel badly for enjoying my dinner.

So guess what happened: I LOST A LB! I broke my plateau. I didn't exercise yesterday (no time) and I had probably eaten 700 calories between breakfast and lunch already that day. Again, my weightloss is nonsensical.

I'm back OP, tracking calories and working out. I'm generally sticking to my goals: My calorie average (minus yesterday) for the last 7 days is 1625, I'm about 120 minutes away from my exercise goal which I can easily reach this weekend, and I have NOT had any Halloween candy or ice cream.

I just really hope my loss sticks and maybe I'll be so lucky as to get another lb while I'm at it. That would be wonderful.

How's everyone else? I'm sure you're all busy...

Hi everyone. Just though I'd quickly post while I have a few minutes. I'm having such a busy week I haven't had change to get on here. Hope everyone is doing well and enjoying Thanksgiving.

I've not been as good foodwise as I was last week but better than it would have been a few weeks ago. Shopping for a dress last night has turned into good motivation. I looked so awful in some of the things I tried on. I'm amazed I actually found something I looked good in!

Hey gang I think we are the quietest team!

Anyways, so this week for me... was BAD! Wednesday through Sunday I exercised 3 times and overate EVERY time. Sometimes just a little, sometimes A LOT. All the way through Saturday I had actually LOST weight but I think that was my body saying "Oh I guess I'll be nice since you did such a good job last week."... but I'm not so sure anymore. Today I was even with my starting weight for the week and I have no clue what the scale will say tomorrow. I ate over 2000 calories today and while I got in a fair amount of exercise, probably at least 500 calories... who knows. My body definitely doesn't follow the rules.

So.. I hope I can give the team a loss! I hope I can give MYSELF a loss. Being on a team (mostly) keeps me on track but really... it's my own goals I want to reach!

I think Thanksgiving + week 2 slump has hit all the teams. Hopefully we can still come out ahead.

Good luck, ladies!

Okay, here's my weigh-in:

SW - 163.9
CW - 162.8
Diff - -1.1

It was a baaaaad week! It started off good and I really thought I could lose at least a kilo if not more but... I'm very pleased with my loss because of my poor behavior. I hope all that overeating doesn't catch up to me, I plan to stay OP this week.

I didn't reach any of my goals. I stopped tracking my calories but I'm positive I was well over my goal of staying under 1700 for the week. I also ate Halloween candy two days, ice cream one and I missed my exercise goal 248/280 minutes. But it's a new week!

This week's goals: Go to the gym 4 times (very lofty, I only went 1x last wk)
Stay under 1650 calories everyday (no restaurants this week!)
Aim to two workouts a day

This week my boyfriend and I are shutting off the TV. Mostly. We have decided to only watch a maximum of 1 hour of TV a night, from 9-10. We both have problems with getting home, turning the TV on and leaving it on all night. Our lives are very boring! Hopefully our week will be more exciting with less television. And I'll be more likely to workout... I think.

Good luck ladies. GO BLUES!

Hello Blues,

I hope everyone had a great holiday.

I was a bad girl this week. I only got to the gym 4 times this week and got a measly 195 minutes in. I also splurged on thanksgiving and the day after. Although I did not eat as much as i usually would, it was still a splurging day.

I probably will not have a great weigh in tomorrow, i finally hit the TOM. I hope i do not dissapoint everyone.

Good luck to everyone else.

Hi Blues! Sorry I haven't posted much. I had a really busy week last week and didn't have much time to get on the internet. Unfortunately I didn't get time to exercise that much either so with all that and a weekend off at a wedding I haven't lost any weight at all and am exactly the same as I was last week (172) It isn't weight on which is good but I'm still disappointed.

This week is very quiet in comparison and all my Christmas events start next week so I am going to really go for it. I'm aiming for 315 minutes of exercise this week. That means I need to find about 30 minutes of something to do on top of 30DS which I am going to restart tonight (when better than the first of the month!). Realistically I will probably only get about 28 days done as I'll be away from Christmas Eve till at least Boxing Day but it will be something to keep me from sitting and eating to much Christmas food!

Hi team! Don't have much time, but I'm at 233.6. I really pigged out this weekend, so I'm just glad I didn't gain. I'll catch up on all the posts later today. Good luck team!

Okay here's the NUMBERS post:

Biggest Loser board:
Blackbeltchica19: -1.1 (.68%)
Joyra: -1.1 (.67%)
Beaka: -.4 (.17%)
AngelD: 0 (0%)
Motiv8me: +1.6 (+.68%)

Blackbeltchica19, you're the Biggest Loser of the Week!

BLUE TEAM:
Overall SW: 976.2
Week 2 SW: 965.1
CW: 964.1
Week 2 Diff: 1
Overall Diff: 13.1
GW: 735
Original GW diff: 241.2
Week 2 GW diff: 230.1
Week 3 GW diff: 229.1

Since the start, we've lost 1.34% of ourselves and 5.34% of the weight we want to lose. Ok, I'm putting the calculator away now!

Blackbeltchica19: Good job!

Beaka: Yeah I totally overate 5/7 days this last week so any loss is an AMAZING loss for me. I think if we get on track we'll be setting ourselves up for good numbers.

Motiv8me: Ugh, TOM. Mine's coming this week I think (er, I'm bad at keeping track!). Anyways, you had a pretty high weight loss last week so with Thanksgiving + TOM, you had a lot working against you. Keep up the good work and I'm sure you'll do great next week.

AngelD: Yeah you lost a LOT last week. To just maintain during TG is great!

I was amazingly OP yesterday. 1335 calories in, at least 400 calories burned, about 55 minutes of exercise. Now I just have to do this for 14 more days and we'll win the Biggest Loser! Seriously though, even though I have only lost 3.2 lbs so far, I'd like to lose 5.1 more in the next two weeks because a loss of 8.3 lbs equals a 5% weightloss for me during the challenge. Oh that would be AWESOME. I think I can do it. I just have to really stick to my plan.

Oh and I just checked my weight and it's already creeping below 74, not quite 73.5 kg (161.7). I'd love to lose 1.5 kg (3.3 lbs) this week. I would hit the 150s again!
