Yeah I did a lot of today.... but tomorrow is a new day and I can't wait to stop feeling greasy from my week of atkins.

And my COFFEE hello.....college student here!

I also found this great all natural diet soda...diet hansen (I think) which is made with slenda and a great treat when I MUST have a diet coke.

Just thought I would check in. I hope everyone is having a good weekend, not going too overboard because of the holiday.

I went to a wedding today. I had just one small plate which was 3/4 filled with veggies. I only had one small glass of wine at the wedding. I also walked around a bunch because I went to the Jazz Festivel in the middle of the day (after the wedding and before the recipetion).

Otherwise I am studying most of tomorrow and then going to a bbq at my sisters on Monday. I'm bring morningstar burgers and planning on eating fruit salad and maybe just a little bit of mexican dip. Lots of self control.

First time in this thread I think, so hi.

Thought I'd say a little bit about the week. So far, so good. Stayed in my caloric intake and ate mostly whole foods. Proud of myself for that. I bought a new pair of jeans that I thought were the right size...and they turned out to be too big once they got on me and stretched out. So...to the tailor I go probably sometime next week. Baking bread and muffins tomorrow. Going to a BBQ that could very well derail my diet. We'll see.

Today my very best friend asked me to be her Maid of Honour at her upcoming wedding (next june)!!! I guess technically since I'm married I'll be the Matron of Honour but that just makes me sound old! I've got a new motivation to reach goal!

Iconised - It's Labor Day weekend here. Lots of celebrations and vacations for a lot of people, but for me? Just working and getting ready for school!!

I didn't eat well at all today. It was bf's 21st birthday and his incredibly wealthy father took us out to a WONDERFUL dinner. It was so great. I'm so crazy about saving money that it's nice to just go out and have money not be an object. He left the waitress a HUUUUUUUUGE tip....around $100 I think for a meal that was probably $200. Speaking as a waitress, I'm sure he made her night!!

Back on track tomorrow

arts I wouldn't worry too much about that meal, either. It seems like a great occasion and a wonderful time! My time at the Taste of Colorado however...oh geeze.

Icon Yeah, labor day! My dad has invited my boy and I over for a bbq....wish me luck. I am gonna try and stick to shrimp (or veggie burgers) and fruit.

Steph I hope you find this site as wonderful as I do! It has been the #1 key to my weight loss journey and just a great group of people! I agree with Icon, the bbq in moderation...I have a bbq to go to on monday myself! Maybe you can bring some veggie burgers of your own, load up on veggies/fruit and skip the bun? Oh, and the carrot is a hero of mine! (LOL) Good luck with your weight loss and I hope to see you around the boards!

remember Sounds like you did great at the wedding! I will be studying most of the day tomorrow too (as well as laundry...yay?) and bringing morning star to the bbq is a great idea! I think I will do the same thing with my bbq. Eating two of those and some veggies/fruit should keep me on track!

Lei Congrats on being Maid of Honor! That is sooo great! Don't forget to show us pictures of the dress!

Well my first day back to calorie counting and I feel so much better and I had my regular coffee this morning.

Although it may take longer to loose this weight with calorie counting and working out I know it will be for the long run.

I also started taking an organic daily vitamin and omega 3's. I heard that this can help with hunger as well as just being darn good for ya.

I was also really busy today. I did laundry, cleaned the whole apartment (the boy helped) went to the store, did homework and de-frosted dinner. Woah.

So I am having chicken thighs for dinner and I am going to eat them without the skin to cut down on the fat and it is in my calorie limit.

I have a question about fat grams. How many per day? I am 26 and I think the average is 30...not sure though. I would love some input!

Wow, that does seem like a lot. When I first started with dailyplate it told me I could have like 3,000 calories....yeah...I wish, right?

I did some snooping around google and it says 30 grams of fat is the most for one day.
