My goal for December is to get to 230. While I would love a 10lb loss, I have to be conservative. I've dialed back in my balanced eating plan and am moving daily. My concern is travelling as I'll be going home to Canada for a week mid-December and not able to control the ingredients. Not going to stress too much about that now though.

Happy December all!!!

12/01 - 238.2

Thanks for starting this Rennie! My goal for December is modest next to you super willpower women! I would like to lose 2-3 lbs for the month and get back to dieting more strictly in January. I will be indulging in some Christmas treats within calories limits! Cooking a big pot of minestrone soup this month and a big pot of chicken, tomato, and okra gumbo to keep calories lower to allow for the treats. Have a great month all!

1: 181.8
2: 180.8
6: 179.4
7: 180.4 (had salty popcorn but stayed within calories and had a good workout)
8: 178.6
11: 177.2
12: 176.0
16: 176.0
18: 174.4
19: 175.0
20: 176.8
22: 176.2
23: 179.0 (2400 calorie day and simple carbs for a change)
24: 177.2
31: 177.2
Start weight 295 on December 26.
Current weight 177.2
Goal weight 160

Rennie! So glad to see you here again

This month I'm aiming to get back on the exercise train and on plan food-wise. I started December right with a workout this morning, easing back into it with something I actually really enjoy. If I could see big movement on the scale, that would be a plus.

Have a great month everyone!

01: 34 minutes upper body workout

Great to see everyone starting to show back up for a new month...hiiii guys!

--------------------------------------

I updated my main post with my end-of-the-month stats and my monthly goal. And, the first weigh-in of December was 219.8! Now, that was after some more fluctuactions on the scale again and settling on the reading I was getting most, so I won't know if I truly broke out of the 220s until tomorrow, but I will be excited about it for today...lol. In fact, 219 was the lowest weight I have been since my husband and I started dating (and he didn't even get to be there for it since he was deployed when it happened...lol) over 10 years ago! My lowest weight ever was 167 when I was a teenager, but - as an adult - 219 is my low. So, I'm excited to only be about a pound from hitting that again and moving down past it! Fingers crossed that I will keep moving down tomorrow...can't wait to replace this pesky scale, lol. I'm so pumped to move past this point that I might even jog as much as I can manage during my walk later! Haha.

Good evening

Finally, it's Friday after a very long week! There's something special about the beginning of a new month; an opportunity to start over with new resolve and better choices. Don't ask me why I feel this way in the crazy making month of December but I do!

I'm with you, Traveller. My goals are a modest 5-6 pounds and more regular exercise. My first challenge awaits this weekend as I will be baking cookies for a program our peers our hosting on Tuesday. I like a good , don't get me wrong, but I'm really more of an ice-cream gal so it shouldn't be too much of a temptation.

Sleep well and have a great start to your weekend. Here we go!

Happy Saturday all!!

I am happy to see a continued downward trend. I have not had full nights sleep the last few nights because I had to stay up late for work. I thought that might impact negatively on the scale, but so far so good. Tonight I plan on going to bed as early as I can and get a full night in.

As we were trimming the tree last night, I allowed myself one glass of wine because I could afford the calories in my budget. As well, I was working late and got really hungry just before bed so I had a small snack. I worried that both may result in water retention or a gain but glad to see they did not. I'm down another half pound.

Today presents a challenge as we are going to an event where the only source of food is food trucks so I'm trying to front load my day with lower calorie denser foods to give me wiggle room.

12/1: 238.3
12/2: 237.8

Hope everyone has a great Saturday!!

Curvy: Hope the cookies turn out great for the program!

Laura: I hope you're able to get a decent night's sleep tonight!

--------------------------------------

Weigh-in was back up a bit to 220.2, but I had a super salty dinner last night (accidentally dumped WAY too much Cajun seasoning on it while cooking), so I only have myself to blame for the bloat up this morning...lol. I want to drop back into those teens tomorrow, so hitting the water hard today!

Hope everyone is having a great Saturday.

curvynotlumpy what kind of cookies are you baking? This reminds me that I have to chose which cookies and treats I will be making for my family's gift boxes this Christmas. I generally don't have a sweet tooth, but for sucre à la crème (a fudge made with maple syrup, butter and cream), I have no control. And that is why I only make a batch once a year and give most of it away.

opheliapheonix what a wonderful number to see on the scale, being the lowest you've been as an adult. I don't even know what was my lowest weight as an adult. I know I've always been overweight as a child and teenager. I saw a picture from work that was taken about 18 years ago and I can tell I wasn't as heavy then, but no idea what I weighed. Cheering you on to reaching new lows!

LauraRVA42011 how did your tree turn out? It's great to see you in good spirits, despite the lack of sleep.

Though yesterday was on plan in regards to food and exercise, I did not drink nearly enough water. Today is another positive day for exercise and I am drinking more water, but not a good day food-wise, as I did eat some popcorn and M&Ms leftover in the apartment. I can say that after today, there is no more junk food in the house (not counting the lone daily chocolate from the advent calendar, which is a tradition that I refuse to give it up). It does feel good to be exercising again and I feel more in control.

02: 32 minutes HIIT workout
