Woke up this morning to another pound gained, not happy about it. The 220s are tough to get in and stay in! Just did 50 minutes of exercise. Nothing else I can do but keep trying.

Starting off this Monday incredibly frustrated. Peanut has the sniffles and wasn't feeling chipper this morning, but not horrible enough to keep him out of preschool, so off he went. Except I got stuck in some incredible traffic, took forever for me to make it to the subway station, and then there were delays with the train, so essentially I've been out of the house for over two hours but have only now made it into work. Argh!!! So annoyed.

Oh and I'm up by the way to 211.4. Frustrated all around.

Good Marvelous Monday Everyone

Hope that everyone had a great on-plan weekend. Hopefully the week goes by fast because I'm on vacation starting next week

jb1975 Hang in there, I'm sure you'll see some movement downward soon.

Martine on the 50 min workout. Your hard work will pay off, don't worry

Kukkie84 I hope that peanut is ok., poor baby. Sorry about the traffic, it's such a pain sometimes. We have the worst traffic here in Michigan so I get it. Hope you have a enjoyable rest of your day.

Waving hi all around. I will check in later. Have a great day everyone

Just finished my workout for the day . Now I can just relax and take my time doing chores. I had planned a fast for yesterday, which I did pretty good until my son came home with brownies from Pizza Hut I couldn't resist.

They were warm and delicious lol. At that point I had only had my 500 calories for today so hopefully it won't show on the scale.

I hope that everyone has a great Saturday. I will check in later.
Ummm these pizza places offering desserts is both the best thing about modern life and the worst, lol. I was a brownie freak but I never indulged often b/c I suck at making them "perfectly". I always had burnt bottoms or edges. Indulged in Papa Johns brownies once and ummm they were the perfect type. And they consistently make them lol. Those jerks!

Hang in there! I saw you moved down a little after being stuck for a few days. That's incredible. I don't know how many times I've gone off the rails after getting so angry at the scale not moving. Then it moves - but not the right way lol.

to all of you for the wonderful birthday wishes! I had a great birthday but I couldn't help but be a bit melancholy as I share my birthday with my father and he passed earlier this year. And aside from my middle brother (I'm the youngest) mom, dad, and the rest of my siblings are all November birthdays. However, we are a family who laughs a lot and love each other endlessly so it is by no means a sad month.

In a couple of hours I'll be going with a friend to the outlets. I'm along for the ride but she's out to purchase a new Le Creuset dutch oven. Any of you have or use one of those fine looking cooking pots? They seem to be a mainstay for the Food Network shows. My friend had her last one for 20+ years and had inherited it from a couple who had owned it for over 20 years prior to giving it away Truly an investment that paid for itself!

@akelly728: Nice to see you and know you're feeling better Being sick does a number on the body. Taking care of yourself to get back on your feet should always be the priority so I'm glad you were able to work in some good, nutritious food.
So sorry about your dad. My dad's bday and mine were 10 days apart so we always had fun celebrating "birthday week-ish" when I was a kid. He passed when I was 15, and it still isn't easy. As for Le Creuset my family swears by them as well. Not sure we if we have a dutch oven, but we have a ton of the serving dishes with lids - can go straight from the oven to the table and they look awesome! I highly recommend the brand!

Thank you!! Much better now! Sorry the 220's are trying to avoid you.. that is a tough decade for me too. I got down to 230.2 last year and worked for weeks but it would not budge. Thennn I let it slip and now I'm just fighting to see 240's again before the new year. Hang in there!

Mondays naturally stink, and the weather changing and daylight being shorter definitely throws our schedules and bodies out of whack. Hope Peanut feels better soon! And I hope the work day gets a little better than how it started!

Awesome! Starting mid month is pretty cool - most people (including me) tend to just slip and slide until a "new month".

Down about 3 pounds over the weekend, which is good. Still waiting to start some cardio since I want to be sure the lungs and sinuses are clear. Hoping to get back into it mid week.

Hello Everybody!!

Been MIA for a bit. Between work and trying to fit in gym time and of course spending time with grandbabies that has taken up much of my time. I just realized it has been nearly amonth since I logged in.

I struggled with a plateau for a while there, but the scale finally seemd like it wants to move again.

I hope everyone is doing well. I will go back and read some postsw to catch up.

Later this week I am taking a vacation of sorts. I am going with my hubby and son to my Dad's in Wisconsin to go deer hunting. They have been trying to talk me into going for years and I always say "Maybe next year." Well when my dad was diagnosed with terminal Stage 4 Lung cancer in August I knew I might not get a next year. So work be damned, let it pile up, I am going take a week and a half off of work. I may regret the pile of papers on my desk when I get back, but I plan on having fun! I will do my best to stick to my plan and keep the scale moving in the right direction. I should get planty on walking in while there too. The rest of the family will join us for Thanksgiving.

Up a pound today. It was actually somewhere in between but I counted the whole pound. I use a balance beam scale so no tenths of a lb.

Welcome back KateB and congratulations on the weight loss so far in November! Enjoy your mini-vacation and your time with your family over the next week.

winning15 I am in awe of your running success! I can barely run down the street, forget a half marathon. Go you!

Kukkie84 hope your little one is feeling better. There are just days where everything seems to go wrong at once, but don't let that get you down.

akelly728 good to know you are feeling better and that the weight is still going down. Great job!

Tried a new toning workout this morning. I think I need weights somewhere between 5 and 10 pounds. With 5-pound weights, I could get through almost 100% of the reps without muscle fatigue, but with 10, I could barely do 2-3 reps.

Beautiful sunny day out, but cold at -2°C (28°F) this morning

Good Terrific Tuesday Everyone

It's going to be about 60 degrees today, which is nice.

dcapulet on the strength training and running. I also incorporated some strength training into my workout this morning. I usually only do it on the weekends, but I was really motivated this morning

akelly728 on the 3lb loss. That's awesome!

KateB I'm glad the scale is moving downward for you

Winning15 on the marathon!

bigjoe on the loss

Martine I have 8 and 10lbs weights. The 8 is what I started with and then graduated to the 10lb. So look for the 8lbs weights. I think I got them at Target.

Had a NSV last night - my bf and I were just hanging out and around 8pm the craving for Waffle House hit us (I think it's thanks to CNN and one of their shows where the guy went to WH) and for about 2 hours we went back and forth on breaking our diets and just going to get food. Ultimately, ended up going to bed and avoiding the wreck!! What's even better is that NSV of will power led to a scale victory of a 2 pound whoosh! Really pleased and proud of myself for not doing it! The bf doesn't have as much to lose - but he still wants to shed about 30 pounds to get to his ideal weight, so it was great for both of us!

Kate, welcome back! And I hope you really get to enjoy your time with your dad. You're sooo right, screw work! Family and time spent with them is something you can never get back. That work will be there when you get back.

winning, great job on the improved time!!

Joe, nice job on the loss! Glad the scale is moving down for you!

Martine, thanks! I think Dick's or Academy sells a 7 or 7.5 pound weight. I've also seen Walmart carries them from 1lb - 10lb online, so you could always graduate from 6 to 7 to 8 lol.

lovemylife, 60 degrees up there in November is pretty good! I've spent time in Boston and Chicago for work during the fall season and I never got that lucky! It's around 75 here in GA today - loving it!!

Hi Kukkie, Rennie, Jill, and the other friends!!

Curvy, re: you and your Dad's birthday ... great memories I'm sure

Alicia great NSV

All losers ... keep up the great work ... those like me, we'll get through this we always do
