Good Monday Morning all

This ended up being one of the busiest weekends I can remember in a long time!!!

Saturday we went to 2 different fall festivals. One was pretty small, it was at the local airport, the highlight there was getting to spend some time exploring the bi-plane that we watch from our deck as he practices his stunts for airshows.

The other was in the town I lived in when I was in elementary school. It was pretty big and took a while to roam around. They had a demonstration of a water rescue in the river, a Native American Pow Wow.. which had a special "Candy Dance" for the kids. They also had lots of food... I behaved.

Then yesterday we started with our normal run to the flea markets, there are 3 good sized ones we go to. Then I went to Walmart and bought my groceries. Then it was home to make sure the kids were ready for the park because my 6yo DS had a Cub Scout outting to earn his Leave No Trace patch. We spent just over an hour walking around cleaning up trash at one of the local parks.

I'm beat and need this Monday to recover from all the excitement...lol But, I was a good girl and did my 2mi WATP video today even though my brain was saying "go back to bed".

I did a 2mi WATP this morning... trying to get back to the point where that doesn't feel like enough.

I have this funny confession. I totally love kickbacks... they are like a time machine to me and for just a few seconds I'm back in junior and senior high at the skating rink, in our little goofy line of dorks playing "follow the leader" or whatever the heck it was we were doing (it was never discussed, we all just made lap after lap doing the same thing, so who knows what we were doing..lol).

I wanted to start the weight training circuit in the Biggest Loser Fitness book yesterday, but decided to wait one more week to start it. I'm still struggling through some parts of the 2mi WATP and want to get a bit better with that first.

dangerouscurvesahead - That's great! I agree with what you said about being a stress-reliever. I'd never thought I would see the day when I look would look forward to working out, but here I am.

findingfawn - Aren't kickbacks great?! I love that stretch that happens in the front of the leg. I sometimes do them instead of double side steps. I know exactly what you are talking about at the roller skating rink. We did the same thing. lol

Yes, I love that stretch. I really really love to squat as low into them as I can.. a little lunged forward to enhance the skating effect...lol. I hate double side steps, what is it about them that makes them so much more difficult? Depending on how much furniture I feel like moving, I often don't have space for doubles... so I just keep at the singles... I like those days

((hugs)) Belinda Just because you fell off the horse yesterday doesn't mean that you can't jump back on him today. Don't wait for a new month. You have come so far! Even in you are doing half a workout it's better than none at all.

Whew.. just got done with my 2mi WATP. I thought a few times in the middle of it about stopping, my stomach isn't feeling great today. I wasn't sure I was going to be able to finish without getting sick. But I just kept coaching myself to push ahead and think of things other than my gut and it seemed to work. I made it, now I just want the sofa the rest of the day... not gonna happen but it would be nice.

Hope everyone else is moving it today.

I will have to keep in mind to try lunging a bit forward. Thanks! For the double side steps when going fast I feel like I'm trying to keep up with the speed instead of focusing on the move. See I can be a bit uncoordinated at times and it's not a good look. lol My favorite are tap outs because those helped to get rid of my saddlebags. lol By the way take it easy today/tomorrow and I hope you are feel better soon!

Don't give up SmallSteps! I'm sure we've all had days or weeks when we feel like that. Maybe try making a fresh start next week and try not to worry about the days you've missed. (((HUGS)))

Happy Thursday ladies

Got my walk in this morning. Gosh I can't wait till I get through the 2mi WATP without a single "isn't this over yet???" thought popping into my head. I feel so accompished when I'm done, but gosh getting through it is a struggle at different points in the workout.

Happy FRIDAY!!!!!

I really contemplated doing the 3mi WATP video today, but after some thought I thought maybe I should stick with 2mi until I'm not huffing and puffing the whole time.

I'm not sure what exercise will look like for me tomorrow. I am going with my hubby and 6yo DS (and my 7yo DD is tagging along) to our council's Boy Scout camp for a fall festival. I hear we will be doing things like archery and games. I think I will try to get up early enough to get in my workout before we leave in case it ends up that parents are sitting around doing nothing all day.

Yesterday I got up super early and did a 2mi WATPs. Then we went to our local council's Cub Scout Fall Festival where we spent 7 hours going from activity to activity. The only downfall was they served lunch which wasn't very healthy and then we hit fast food on the way home which I tried to choose healthier options but of course they were loaded with salt, so the scale is angry with me this morning. This too shall pass (in the form of water..lol)

Today I am suffering a messed up hip. We are going for a family hike anyway. We are going to explore a trail near our house we found by accident about a year ago and wanted to go back to.. well today I think is the day. I'm taking lots of little pieces of yarn so we can mark when we turn because we turned back last time due to the confusion of the trails. Should be fun... just hope my hubby doesn't have to carry my lard butt home with my hip out of whack. I seem to be ok once I get moving, so I should be fine.

What is everyone else doing on this beautiful fall Sunday?
