Traded fones w my dd n its touch so excuse typos while i adjust.
Sommer my hips n legs have been aching like a toothache since friday nite (3hrs on cold metal bleachers) n havent slept good since. Id rather sleep the away! Ugh this fone is driving me nuts!
lol.. I can't type on hubby's phone it' kills me. The aren't even that different. We dont have the net on our phones, so it's only an issue of texting.
I am not going to get any workout in today as far as cardio goes. I suddenly can harldy walk. I need to take time to heal so I can walk in the Halloween Parade on Thursday with my Girl Scouts. It's about 4 miles until it's all said and done, so I have to get my hip back in.
I will grab my hand weights and do some arm work today and focus on keeping my tummy pulled in tight all day.
I have a sick kiddo on the sofa today so I will be his maid it will get me moving a bit most likely.
My weekend was full of celebrating family events (bdays etc.) I really wanted to workout, but I was exhausted! However I kept my food and snacking under control for example I only had one small slice of cake per day and no ice cream and only drank water over the weekend. Also I woke up early to do 5 miles of WATP and I have my exercise class later.
well i tried to edit my exercise post w new fone n deleted half instead so ill just post daily til i get the hang of it!
30min tabata, 30min chest, 30min core, 30min dog walk. Wish my hips n legs would stop aching!
I managed to play with the weights yesterday and I tried a bit of the one sitting cardio workout on sparkpeople (boring and cheesey and I couldn't get into it, but it is great for someone who is incapable of doing a standing workout).
I did the 1MI WATP this morning. I can do everything now but the kicks.. and well I can kick with my left leg, but it's hard to not try to "counter kick" with my right (which is what drops me to the ground in pain). I think I may do the 2mi in a bit and just walk through the kicks. I definately didn't feel like I did enough by doing just the 1mi.
My strength-training class kicked my behind last night, but I got through it and my arms look fab! I'm doing a 3 mile WATP later today at a lower intensity.
Well, today is my 36th birthday. I have a sick 3 year old (tummy bug is moving through my kids.. yay). I got him settled back down and did my workout. Now I'm sitting here trying to come up with a challenge for myself to accomplish over the next year. Something fitness. I am thinking something distance... I really am thinking of trying to get in enough walking to make a virtual journey from here in PA to my birth city (Reno). It's a 2,536 mile trip one way if you stay on interstate 80. It would mean I would need to walk almost 7 miles every single day for a year.. and right now that seems like more than I can do. I'm going to have to pick somewhere closer to "walk to". I want to make this a fun virtual journey.. with "sight seeing" along the way (as in where I stop each day I will look up online and learn about). I guess I will get out the map and choose somewhere. I think I can do 1,000 miles in the next year.
Happy birthday findingfawn! (Mine is in 2 weeks) Your virtual walk sounds awesome. I really do think 7 miles per day is attainable once your body work your way up to that point. Maybe you can try to break up your miles like do 4 miles in the morning and 3 miles after dinner? That's what I do when I walk more than 5 miles in one day. If I didn't break things up I would personally get bored. Enjoy your day!
I decided I'm going on a virtual walk down the east coast. My final destination will be Charleston SC (it's one of my favorite places in the world). It's right about 1,000 miles if I follow the coast and make a few "stops" here and there (like Baltimore, DC, Williamsburg, Myrtle Beach, etc).
I wish i could get in a walk in the evenings, some evenings I could, but with all the kids in their activities we aren't home much at night.

omg Fawn what a neat idea! I'm officially copying you on your virtual walk. I made my goal 200 miles for Oct (walking, jogging, elliptical, cycling, rowing, etc) and I have less than 30 to go. I live in washington state so I think I'll head for Cancun, Mexico and see where to go from there. Thanks for the inspiration!
