- the fence is not dog-proof but Jazz is very cooperative about the lead
- Cathy came and took all the pageant costumes and props off my hands
- although I scratched my glasses when I fell, the "old" ones are just fine
- weather looks reasonable for the next week of travel
- Donna volunteered to take my car for gas and a wash this afternoon
- I have two financial reports ready for the 4:30 meeting this afternoon - one is the current one and one is in case the grant cheques arrive this morning! Silly but I hate presenting "in the red" reports

These are powerful gratitude this morning. I loved reading them all.

Grateful for...

...not obsessing too much yesterday when I really went off plan. That is an improvement.
...a really nice hug from an old friend - made me realize how long I go without really getting any affection and I just soaked it in.
...no rain yet this morning! If it can just hold a little longer...
...my scheduled massage today.
...a box of books someone gave me.
...that work always lightens up from this week until the end of the year.

Have a great day!

Good evening -

I decided not to wait until morning for my gratitude! Maybe just because I feel like I really need it right now.

I am grateful for a small break in the rain in which I could get the dog out.

I am also really grateful for a massage I scheduled for today. It has been so long that I realized I am REALLY out of touch with my body! So strange given the amount of thought that is going into the calories going into it. I realized I am really out of touch with the entirety of its health right now. Very unlike me and probably doesn't entirely make sense. All I know is that I feel a lot more balanced and whole right now.

Very grateful.

Very grateful for all of you and this thread. I love visiting it.

Chloe... I agree - this is a happy place. Gratitude is such a good thing to have in our lives.

- Yesterday was a healthy day - I am so very grateful for every day I muster up some sanity with food.

- our little neighbor stopped by for a visit - she's six and told me about just everything that's happening and more. Very joyful. I am grateful we have a street full of children we get to watch grow up. DH gives them all gum and I give them stories.

- I have a strategy for Thanksgiving

- I fit into a demin dress that was snug before

- friends, family, YOU ALL, fb, internet, cell phone, music

- toaster - very handy

Good morning!

Congrats on the denim dress! I am sure it is very cute.

This morning I am thankful for...

...the Christmas lights I put up yesterday (I know it is early, but this rainy weather demanded them).
...that I didn't lose power last night
...for my mom, as strained as our relationship may be
...for my creativity

Have a great day!

Nice article on the power of gratitude:

Giving thanks helps your psychological outlook

Be sure to read the entire article. Very interesting study on methods and long term impact.

Enjoy!

BeverlyJoy! So inspiring that you have been doing daily gratitude for that long. That inspires me all the more. I have gone in and out at different times of my life and I always wonder why I stop because it does make SUCH a difference.

I know you are going to do great with the holiday eating and you will be mindful to avoid guilt about anything that feels "off plan." Any guilt or bad feelings will not be helpful.

This morning I am grateful for...

...my patience.
...no conflict with my closest friends.
...really good notes towards my paper.
...constant drive to figure out a better career path.
...the calm I feel in my heart.
...finding beauty in the day yesterday, even with the constant rain and darkness.

Have a great day!
