+ lovely one hour nap yesterday
+ Claire got me some groceries - when people say "What can I do?", they mean it
+ leg swelling is starting to go down - I'm convincing myself
+ food bank donations are starting to roll in
+ fabrics for four new quilts arrived yesterday
+ email from my DD catching me up on the grandkids and Christmas plans
+ was able to take a short car trip yesterday
+ water weight is dropping very quickly - 199 to 183 since Monday
+ managed to get the ivies and spider plants all potted yesterday
+ figured out quilt raffle money for deposit today
+ the Church Bulletin went together without a hitch and is ready for Sunday
+ feeling better and much less swollen today
+ a good night of sleep - 9 to 5:30 without a potty break
+ water weight continues to drain away - ticker reinstatement next week
+ legs are back to "chubby normal"
+ was able to help Karen with my "Skunk Off" - she was grateful too!
+ lovely raspberries from the grocery store yesterday - a summer taste
+ the pant shortening project is nearly over
+ re-potted ivies and spider plants are looking good
+ Jazz is very excited about our wee sprinkle of snow - he will always be a puppy!
- the cortizone shot the doctor gave me in my back has taken away the pain. I am so, so grateful.
- DH and I got the whole house cleaned, grocery and lots of laundry. Feels so good when it's done. (DH did most of it - another reason I am grateful for him)
- my mom and I save the Coupons for Education for my kindergartener neighbor. We had an envolope full to give her. You would think we had given her an envelope full of dollars or something. She was over the moon about it. It's so nice to see that pure joy.

+ no water weight loss today but I know it's from extra salt yesterday so restored my ticker

I just got home form a weekend in Santa Cruz. Great weekend but so grateful to be home.

+ Jazz escaped the yard in the dark last night but showed up at the side door in 15 minutes
+ nice giggling chat with Claire yesterday - we seldom have time for that
+ leg swelling seems gone and weight has settled down - whew!
+ remembered to rebook my dental appointment and avoided a $$$ penalty
+ my propane tank was filled yesterday with no reminder - good company!
- I am grateful that I could smile today when I looked at the scale.
- I dropped my cell phone in some water and it stopped working. I am grateful that 10 hours later it is working again. I guess it 'dried out'. (smile)

- my 20 year old niece is OK - thank God. She was at a friend's house Sunday night when armed robbers broke in. (they had hidden faces) They took whatever it was they wanted and left Erika and her two friends alive. How does this happen, let alone to someone I love with every inch of my heart. Thank you, thank you, thank you. Reminder - always keep your doors locked.
