+ glorious sunrise just now
+ slept well under my old comforter - the new one is retired
+ going to a concert with friends this evening
+ time change means an extra hour of sleep tonight
+ Moel dealt with the old elm tree behind the barn - he'll finish today
+ yesterday's malaise seems to have disappeared
+ hot coffee, my cozy robe and two cuddly dogs on a frosty morning
I have been thinking a lot about gratitude this month. We all say count your blessings. I asked someone I worked with what they were grateful for and they said it's so hard to say, I have so many. She was so sincere and went on to list many, many things. This person is a dementia patient in the memory care wing.
I am so grateful to be able to be a part of everyone I work with's life.
I am so grateful to know and work with my coworkers.
I am so grateful for my friends
I am grateful to have enough to eat and be choosing to diet instead of starving
I am grateful to live in a place where fresh produce and healthy foods are avaliable and affordable
I am grateful to live in a place with fresh clean water and indoor plumbing
I am grateful that I am in a place in my life where I can count my blessings and not be bitter and hurtful towards myself and others
I am grateful that I am on this weight loss journey and moving towards good health
Not feeling well this a.m. but this is important!
+ this thread that makes me look on the bright side
+ coffee with some sf cocoa powder
+ no need to bake today as I found some frozen cookie dough in the freezer
+ figured out why cheques weren't showing as cleared in my main account
+ early "Girls" and Kids Dinner tonight - I need an early night
+ managed to horse the snow tires into my trunk without asking for male help
+ nice "Girls" and kids dinner at Heather's last night
+ sunshine predicted for the next few days
+ the village "lads" took over from old Bill and shingled his house roof for him on Saturday. He's been poking away at it for weeks and we were all worried about him.
+ I know I will be able so see someone at the clinic today about my poor swollen leg
+ hemmed two pair of pants yesterday - too bad I can't wear them because of the swollen leg
+ this too shall pass
Today I am most grateful for:
+ my doctor and his staff at the clinic who worked me into a very busy day
+ friends who helped me worry
+ modern medicine - the diuretic is already working
+ a solid night of sleep
+ fabric arrived for two baby quilts and two regular ones - I love new projects!
+ my very simple and fast fruit dessert was a great hit with the quilting group
