Bitter coooooooooooooold
OK ladies, the news said -18 with the wind and a high of 0, oh my will easter EVER get here . . . I know some of you are probably digging out the snow shovel . . . I did that Mon & Tues so hopefully I won't have to for a few days . . . UGH!!

I want to change my weigh-in day from monday to friday, monday is always tight and i end up weghing in on tuesday, so friday is it from now on.

Pre-Vacation weigh-in on 1/23: 204.5
Post-Vacation weigh-in on 2/6: 203.5 Well, I stayed in the right direction even if 1 pound isn't a super great change for 2 weeks. But I was able to do some brief cardio work outs at most of the hotels we stayed at, as well as dragging my friends on some very fun desert hikes. So the activity level helped to offset all of the delicious food that I ate while touring the Southwest US. Back home now, though, and back to work! :) How is everyone else faring? Did we all enjoy the epic snowstorm? I enjoyed watching it on the news from sunny southern california, although when I got home I had to dig my car out from over 2 foot tall snow drifts. Fun! |

Mid-week checking in... Know those fun hikes I mentioned above on my trip to California / the southwest? Guess who apparently went diving face first through a forest of poison-oak... Ha ha ha ow. :)
Between going on vacation and coming back only 1 pound down after 2 weeks, and then going to the doctor and having them put me on steroids to help calm the ridiculous over-the-top immune response I've been having to the poison-oak, I figured that I was waving a sad sad sad good-bye to my first mini-goal of being below 200 by Valentine's day. Then I stepped on the scale yesterday morning, and it said 200.5!! I didn't believe it, so I checked 3 more times, and compared against the scale at the gym last night (200.8, that seems pretty consistent to me!). I don't even know for sure when my weight crept up past 200; either senior year of high school or freshman year of college, probably some time in 2002. I am sooo unbelievably excited, I absolutely can't wait until Sunday for my next "official" weigh-in. :D |
