Should I make a list and update?
I'll do it on the morning following the weigh-in dates, to allow for international time zones. So first weights on January 3rd, after weighs-in on Jan 2nd. I'm still here. Kids are on vacation so I have to wrest the computer from them sometimes.
MadamButterfly - it took me 4 days straight of 30 day shred before it stopped hurting so much. Then I promptly got bronchitis and have been sick/on antibiotics for over a month. I haven't been able to do it since and am dreading the 4 days of pain when I start back. All I can do for exercise right now is walk when the weather allows. I had planned on eating out for lunch today because we were going to take my aunt out, but she didn't feel like going out so now my calories are really low for the day. I will clear 1000, but I won't make 1200 unless I eat until I'm stuffed. Maybe I'll calorie cycle up tomorrow. The kids want to make pumpkin cupcakes before school starts again. Luckily, they freeze well and while I love them, I'm able to say no to cupcakes. |
Rosinante, is it okay if I just edit my first post in this thread? That way will only have to look in one place for my updates.

This sounds like a good way to incorporate some accountability into my weight loss efforts. Count me in! I was away from my scale on the 26th, but my current weight is 271.4. I'd like to get down to 239 by April 24th. That would be a loss of 32.4 lbs.
December 30th - 271.4 January 2nd - 270.4 January 9th - 270.0 January 16th - 271.8 January 23rd - 268.8 January 30th - 263.6 February 6th - 266.2 February 13th - 269.6 February 20th - 263.4 February 27th - 259.2 March 6th - 258.2 March 13th - 255.4 March 20th - 256.0 March 27th - 255.6 April 3rd - 255.6 April 10th - 258.6 April 17th - 253.5 April 24th - 258.2 Haha! So, not quite where I wanted to end up. That's okay, though. It's still a net loss of 13.2 lbs. I've also managed to get back into 22s, which is definitely a step in the right direction, and dropped 2.3 points from my BMI! This was good! |

thanks, I'm alternating it with 6week 6pack abs, last chance workout and leslie sansone walking video. I do the shred tomorrow, OH MY, I'll be OK though . . . eventually. Patch, thanks for keeping me on track. UGH, frustrated the first week of the challenge . . . I think it was more of a . . . lot of other things going on . . . but I didn't do any emotional eating so that's good. I was much better by the next morning (I think I was overtired also) I need my sleep!!! I'm so excited to see the how everyone does . . . Rosinante, thanks for starting this and doing all the numbers and everything . . . I'm so excited . . . |

This is great! I'm in. I hope to see the scales at 210 by Easter and be in Onederland by Memorial Day. We have a big family gathering, and we all weighed in at Christmas. The winner of our little competition will be crowned at the beach, and I want a new bathing suit.
December 28th - 247.1 January 2nd - 242.7 (-4.4) January 9th - 238.1 (-4.6) January 16th - 234.7 (-3.4) January 23rd - 234.7 (no change) January 30th - 235.0 (+0.3) Looks like my first plateau. Two weeks with a little gain. Moving on! Excellent stuff. I think time being finite, it probably would be better to each update our own lists. What I did on the fantastic Christmas Jiggle challenge was weekly to quote my own list, remove the quote brackets, and show only the start weight and the current weight (with the future dates too). That way, even on weeks when I was annoyed at my weightloss, comparing it to my startweight was a big thrill. I'll add us all up at the end though! |
On December 26th I wrote, "Done the Boxing Day weigh-in. Could have been a lot worse ( and maybe yet, there may be damage to follow!)" - well, that was prescient! By Jan 2nd I was 167.9. Eep! Tempted to make that my startweight, to make my losses look better. Nah, that's cheating. I promise though, that'll be my last increase!
