My official Sunday 2/13 weigh-in was 197.5... but today I'm at 196, and that's exactly 40 pounds down from my start weight! Yay!
I went to the mall to pick up some new jeans yesterday, and I'm finally in the smallest size that Lane Bryant carries. I also went to JC Penney's and looked at some of their clearance tops, and found a couple that were super cute and cheap... $3 each! I'm not sure if I am happier about getting a super good deal, or that I walked into a store, went straight to the non-plus size section, and every item that I took into the dressing room fit!
So between today's 40 pound milestone and yesterday's shopping mental boost, I finally decided to post some progress pics over in the mini-goals section. If you look carefully on my most recent picture, you can also still see some fading red marks from my poison-oak adventures.
I'm stuck at 145.0 - seems like I'm never going to lose again sometimes... Wish I could say that I've been "cheating" because at least then I could just buckle down and make the scale move again.
Hey Kuchick... sorry about that stall, I am sure that is really frustrating! I'm not sure what you might have tried so far to help end the plateau. Have you read Eliana's stall-busting thread? When I read it, it seemed like the plan is kind of counter-intuitive for losing weight, (taking a break from exercise / calorie cycling) but she seems to have moved out of her stall by following it, so I guess strange things can work to kick our bodies into gear!
You have already made amazing progress so far, so try not to get too discouraged!

Only 9 more weeks and 18 lbs to hit my goal for this challenge . . . I think I can still do it . . . it's going to be VERY close . .
to all those who have lost
Kaebaka: WTG on the great savings and a BIG WOW on no more PLUS SIZE . . . sooooooooooooo exciting
Good morning ladies! It feels like spring, we've been having thunderstorms since late last night. I love it!
Challenge Start: 213
Last week: 197.5
Today - 194.5 (-3)
There's approximately 9 weeks left in the challenge and I have about 9 more pounds to go until my challenge goal. Seems do-able!
In other news, after doing a bit of thinking I've decided to pre-emptively change my goal weight. I like the idea of losing a nice round 100 pounds, but my real goal is to reach a goal life style of being active, feeling more energetic, and looking better. I think that for me 145 will probably reflect that better, and when I reach that goal I can always re-evaluate.
Kaebaka - I love that one of your mini-goals is an activity, not a poundage. I never thought of that, but it's exactly the mindset I'm trying to reflect. I want to be healthier - the weight loss is a side effect. I might have to reevaluate my mini-goals!
From 00:01 Sunday 13th to 23:59 Saturday 19th, I'll take any weights you choose to record and enter them in too, so we can all see how we're doing. (Me, I'll be lucky to break even )

OK, that's all the weights that were posted for the week 02/13-02/19. Congratulations to everyone except me, who's gained! (At least I'm rolling down from last week's high.)
WELL DONE You 'losers' are Very Impressive!
Here we go for Phase 2! We hae 62 days to go. Me, I pledge to kick the 160s from here to eternity!
OK LADIES IT'S TIME TO KICK IT UP A NOTCH . . . WE HAVE JUST A LITTLE OVER 8 WEEKS LEFT . . . WE CAN DO IT
Maybe we can do a mini goal; March 21 is the first day of spring . . . 3 1/2 weeks away
My goal for the first day of spring will be:
1. To be under 160 lbs
2. Eat something green everyday . . . (a tribute to spring)
3. Have a spa night once a week (soak in the tub, bush hog my legs, paint my toenails, light the candles and put on some soft music and RELAX)
OK ladies . . . do you have some goals for theFIRST DAY OF SPRING!!
Rosinante- thanks for keeping track of all of this for us! I like numbers too, so thanks for the percentages MadamButterfly, that's a neat way to look at it!
I found a body fat percentage calculator and was comparing my weights with measurements since I started keeping track of the measurements at the beginning of November. I was pretty happy that my body fat % has decreased linearly with my weight, so I'm happy with the balance between gaining / losing lean mass and losing fat. Actually, according to the formula I have gained about 5 pounds of lean mass in the last 4 months. Yay muscles!
The muscles are definitely a good thing, because I got depressing news from my orthopedic surgeon on Monday. I tore my ACL about 6.5 years ago when I was at my highest weight (245) and it has been one of the issues I have struggled with in terms of getting active and getting healthier...and a big part of why my goals are more oriented towards being able to do things, as opposed to just losing weight. Turns out that surgery #2 which I had 8 months ago to fix my ACL has also completely failed, so my muscles are largely responsible for helping keep everything in place when I'm running around. It was a very frustrating visit, but I got to follow it up with a shopping trip to an outlet mall to replenish my closet with some clothes that fit me better, so at least that cheered me up a bit.
But let's see... Spring is 3.5 weeks away. The weather here in Iowa has been taunting us going back and forth between being nice and being winter, but I would love to get outside more! I have been working on the C25K program but definitely need to do an intermediate sort of step between week 3 and week 4 to help get myself to the next level. So I think my goal will be to get outside and find a 2 mile route, and walk/jog it in 25 minutes. My best times so far have been about 15 minutes per mile, so that should definitely give me a challenge.
